View 6 RepliesI have importet pictures from mu card. No problem. But I needed the same pictures only with very important metadata, that my collegue made. So I got the pictures from him om a stick. Lightroom refuse to import them. I have tryed to delite the pictures from my card, so that Lightroom don´t think that they are allready there. But I still can´t import the pictures.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have saved a psd file as jpg using File -> Save as.
Also tried: File -> Save for web.
When I look at the newly saved jpg file in photoshop the colors are great.
When I look at the same jpg file in Firefox or Internet explorer the file look bleached (a lot lighter in color).
How do I save the image for view on web, and then make sure the colors match more closely to the original file?
To manually correct for the missing colors would be a lot of work, and I hope there is an automated way of doing this?
Using Photoshop 5.5.

I have used the 30 day LR5 trial and I don't love it and prefer LR3 that I have been using for the past few years. I've created some libraries though, and want to know how I can view them if I return to using LR3 after the trial.
I didn't import the images to Lightroom, rather, I referenced them on my HD.
Do I need to export them as an older version? Or save the images in another format?
LR4 4.2 with ACR 7.2Mac OSX 10.8.2Nikon D600 NEF (Raw) files This problem has occured everytime I use LR4 and I've tried exporting to different colour space - sRGB, AdobeRGB with the same result. This is using my new Nikon D600, when I export a photo processed in LR4 and shot from my old Canon 400D the colours are almost identical when viewed in Preview with just the usual loss you would expect converting to sRGB.
I hope this is an issue that is being worked on for the update that will fully support the D600.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically the situation is that I have large number of originally RAW images (now jpegs) that look fine (to my eye) on my home computer but all take on a slight green tint when I view them through ios devices (e.g., my new macbook pro, ipad air, iphone). Wondering what's causing the difference in tints.
Background: Shooting for 6 years, all with a Canon Rebel and shot in RAW, processed in Lightroom. When I export to harddrive or photo sharing site, I set Lightroom export color space to sRGB and then export as jpegs. My home PC monitor color space also set to sRGB.When I view those exported pics via something beside my home monitor (e.g. a plasma TV), the color balance seems fine.
1. Does the color space setting in the DSLR matter? My understanding was that color settings in camera only influence jpegs from camera - - raw files carry no pre-set color space.
2. Could my monitor be out of whack or do Apple screens somehow use a different color space?
I am trying to download pictures in folders and sub folders into the LR catalog. The import brings all the pics in the subfolders over but when II click on the parent folder it shows not pictures or number of pictures in it.

Just tried to import some images from an SD card (using a card reader) as I normally do and the import freezes on "importing files". Before import the thumbnails shows and I have tried a different SD card. Is this a bug? do I need to re-install LR?
I had LR3 opening when I inserted an SD card but when I installed LR4.4 it broke that and now I can't get LR4 to open when inserting a card. Still fairly new to MAC's.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust come back from a photo trip and tried to import my images into Lightroom from my SD Card and Lightroom doesn't see them, all it see's are the images I took on Saturday.
Today I arrived at my location to photograph Pasque Flowers, I took 1 image then realised I hadn't deleted the images from Saturday so I used the 'Delete Images From Card' in my camera's menu and then proceeded to take a few hundred images. During the day I reviewed my images several times, so I know they were definitely saved to the SD Card.
When I got home I tried to import my images in to Lightroom and all Lightroom saw on the card were the images I took last Saturday.
I tried closing down Lightroom and opening it again - nothing, just the images from Saturday!
I tried using the SD Card reader on my iMac - again, just Saturday's images were found.
I then put my card back into my camera and all I could see were my Pasque flower images from today.
So it seems my camera see's todays images yet Lightroom only sees the images from Saturday I had deleted via my camera's menu at the start of today.

I am having issues importing photos from my SD card into LR4. I have 319 pictures on my SD card and LR is only recognizing 283 of them. In the Library module, I can see the pics that LR is not recognizing but they are greyed out. When I put my mouse over the picture it says "This photo has already been imported" but I never imported it. I did format my memory card right before my shoot if that makes a difference. I am using a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. I have tried to restart my computer, restart LR, eject the SD card then put it back in but it's still not working. I attached a screen shot

View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to import some photos from an SD card that has worked in the past. First, I get an error "The following files could not be imported because they could not be read" with a list of all files. This includes files I've successfully imported into LR in the past (tried them as a test, since they didn't get caught by the "new" filter).
So I copied all the images to my HD and tried importing from there, and got a different error: "Could not copy a file to the requested location" for all files.
Settings: "Copy as DNG", "Into Subfolder: By date: 2012/YYYY-MM-DD"

I have been using Lighroom4.3 for nearly a year now with no problems. All of a sudden, it refuses to import any of my NEF files from my SD card. I have tried all my SD cards to no avail. In the import window the files appear as thumbnails, but when I ask to import I get the message 'Files were not imported because they could not be read (3)'
My camera is a Nikon D3000.
I can't import directly from an XQD card into Lightroom on my laptop (Windows 7). The images appear in the import window, but I get the following message when trying to import: "The following files were not imported because they could not be read." I can move the files over to the hard disk where Lightroom can import them but only by using the "Add" function. This precludes my adding the date to the file name and converting the files to DNG. The funny thing is I can import them into my desktop, but it has less memory and an older processor which during the import often exceeds the memory capabilities and corrupts the image file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a Canon shooter and a seasoned Lightroom user. About a month ago my Mac stopped allowing me to import images from my CF card into Lightroom. I have worked with Mac and Adobe to no avail. At this point I know that my Mac can see the card and will me allow me to download images into iPhoto. It will generate thumbnails in Lightroom, but will tell me that it's unable to read the images when I try a complete import. If I switch users on my Mac to a dummy user, I am able to import the same images off my CF card. To my knowledge, I didn't changed any settings, at least not intentionally.

What can I do to go back to importing directly from the memory card?
