View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to import RAW files into Lightroom 3 from my Nikon D7000. I read that I need to update my Lightroom, so I downloaded the 3.6 version. I restarted my computer and reopened Lightroom and it is still showing the 3.2 version. How do I get Lightroom to update after the new version has been downloaded? Once this problem is fixed, then will I be able to import my .NEF files from my camera into Lightroom?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy won't Lightroom 4.4 import my Nikon D7000 NEF RAW files? I even downloaded the latest Adobe DNG converter and converted all the NEF files to DNG then tried to import to lightroom - it didn't even recognise them?
View 23 Replies View RelatedI have a Nikon D7100 with the card slots allocated for Raw (Slot 1) and JPEG (slot 2). When Importing I would like to convert the raw images in slot 1 to the Adobe DNG format and to have the JPEG images simply imported as JPEGs. I cannot find the correct combinations of preferences/options to make this happen. What happens today is the both images import with the second labeled as a -2 copy of the first image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to import photographs from a SD card shot on Nikon D600. LR keeps saying "Preview unavailable", and that it doesn't recognise the raw format.
I have tried downloading images from card via a recovery programme and filed them on desktop in separate folder, then tried to import from the folder. Still no success.
I have importet pictures from mu card. No problem. But I needed the same pictures only with very important metadata, that my collegue made. So I got the pictures from him om a stick. Lightroom refuse to import them. I have tryed to delite the pictures from my card, so that Lightroom don´t think that they are allready there. But I still can´t import the pictures.
View 1 Replies View RelatedLightroom does not seem to recognize my Nikon D7000. I connect the camera, open LR, and nothing happens. I can click Import, but it doesn't recognize the device. The D7000 comes with Nikon's ViewNX2 software which they want you to use for import. Do I really need to use that to import photos from the camera, then import them from ViewNX2 into LR? That seems like a pain. I just upgraded to LR 3.6
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nikon D7000 camera and Lightroom 4 updated with the latest version and I can't get it to tether. Lightroom tether says no camera detected when it is. I have tried every thing in the trouble shoot guide but it doesn't work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn some cases I like the way Nikon processes the image on my D7000 and the resulting jpg image. If I could just use a preset to get the same result from a RAW file it would save a bit of time.
I assume Nikon is using some formula to come up with that 'look' and so any preset to create the same image from a RAW file created by either the D7000 or a D3 or D700? Or maybe they do it dynamically dependent on some image content logic? There are presets for film types, so maybe there are some presets for internal camera processing modes?
I am unable to import NEF files from a d7000 into LR 4.3, but can import them into LR 3.6 without issue. What do I need to change in LR 4? It's running on a Mac and latest updates are installed.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a Nikon D7000. Shot some RAW files and tried to download to iPhoto, not possible. SO, installed Nikon VIEW NX2, and Transfer 2. RAW images downloaded to my computer (late 2008 Macbook Pro, Leopard 10.5.8, Camera RAW plug-in 6) into ViEW 2. But showing the followiing format: _DSC001.NEF Normally, it should read: DSC_001.NEF
SO within the Nikon software, I can work on the image, but I cannot export it into PS. It comes up with an error that the image format is unreadable. (Nor can I find how to get it out of VIEW NX2 , but that might just be my lack of reading all the info there, will see)
I contacted Nikon and they told me to change something in Image Capture in my MAC apps. I went there, but Image Capture was already set to the change they asked me to do.
I tried to download again, but same problem. I tried to download into iPhoto, in order to try and get it into PS, but it wouldn't. All files were unreadable.
JPEG, however, does download, with both file formats, and opensin iPhoto and PS, whether there is a _ first or a letter first.
SO, I don't know what to do. I am assuming all my plug-in's are up to date.
My D70 RAW transfers fine!!! The D7000, not.
Any info out there??? Nikon has not replied back a second time when I responded to them.
I just bought a Nikon D7000 camera & need to convert Nikon RAWS (NEF) files & they are not recognized by my Adobe CS4 on my Mac 0sX 10.6.8
Do I need to update to CS5 or CS6. Also, would like the new software to allow me to still convert older pre-existing RAWS that are in my photo archives.
I am unable to open Nikon D7000 NEF files in Elements 8. I have been unsuccessfull in downloading the version 5.7 update from the web site. After downloading several times the files are still not recognized in Elements 8.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy do my pictures look so much better when viewed while still on the sd card? Why do they lose all their color and sharpness once they are imported?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI love tethered Shooting but as default (at least for Nikon) Lightroom does only save the file on the computer, not on the memory card.
Now I want to have a backup of the image file on the memory card additionally to downloading it. The tethering software digiCamControl can do this with my camera, so it is technically possible.
So how can I achieve this using Lightroom tethering?
I am trying to download pictures in folders and sub folders into the LR catalog. The import brings all the pics in the subfolders over but when II click on the parent folder it shows not pictures or number of pictures in it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using LR4.1
Just tried to import some images from an SD card (using a card reader) as I normally do and the import freezes on "importing files". Before import the thumbnails shows and I have tried a different SD card. Is this a bug? do I need to re-install LR?
I am having issues importing photos from my SD card into LR4. I have 319 pictures on my SD card and LR is only recognizing 283 of them. In the Library module, I can see the pics that LR is not recognizing but they are greyed out. When I put my mouse over the picture it says "This photo has already been imported" but I never imported it. I did format my memory card right before my shoot if that makes a difference. I am using a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. I have tried to restart my computer, restart LR, eject the SD card then put it back in but it's still not working. I attached a screen shot

Try to import CR2 files from CF card - files show in import screen but then will not import
"Import Results
Some import operations were not performed.
The following files were not imported because they could not be read (1):......."
Then lists ALL files on CF card
I tried copying CR2 files to a temporary folder on my desktop but get exactly the same message. Also tried importing iPhone images and get exactly the same message.
This all worked for the first week LR5 was installed and has just started happening after a week
Have no problems at all in Lightroom 4.4
Will not import from card, iphone or HD
View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to import some photos from an SD card that has worked in the past. First, I get an error "The following files could not be imported because they could not be read" with a list of all files. This includes files I've successfully imported into LR in the past (tried them as a test, since they didn't get caught by the "new" filter).
So I copied all the images to my HD and tried importing from there, and got a different error: "Could not copy a file to the requested location" for all files.
Settings: "Copy as DNG", "Into Subfolder: By date: 2012/YYYY-MM-DD"
I'm running OSX 10.7.4 and Lightroom 4.1 The files are a mix of JPG, CR2, and MOV
