I'm using illustrator cs6 and I can't change the color of some individual objects when grouped using the direct select tool or isolation mode. Only when the objects are ungrouped can I make the change.

Is there a way to ungroup the elements of an imported pdf in Illustrator 6? Do you have to change the settings in Adobe Acrobat first to allow the elements to import individually rather than a group?

The colors are Pantone 143 and 287 which need to be changed to 143 U and 287 U, respectively.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded to CS6 and also to OS 10.8... Im working in multiple Illustrator docs using a color of 100-87-32-32. When I change objects to that color by keying it in to the color pallete, it changes. If I click off, go away and come back the color shifts to 100-82-36-29 or something similar.
Some objects retain and others shift. What gives?
When I set C to 40% and MYK to 0% the program automatically change to other values in all four columns. Is it some kind of default settings? If so, how can I change it?

The blue circle in the color wheel is clearly changing the hue of the blue, though with the other two arms, the circle with the black ring around it, when I drag it to darker hues it changes both the star and the polygon while the other circle only changes hues sometimes if I drag it somewhere completely different. After I added my colors I tried to change the opacity on a few of them, but the opacity for the entire document changes. Is there a way to get around this.....or do it right?

They do not use the same layer colors as us and I am trying to find a lisp that would allow me to set up a table with the layer names and the color I want them to be so that I can quickly change all the layers to our companys color standards.
Example:
Layer 1 = Color 1
Layer 2 = Color 15
Layer 3 = Color 10
Etc.
I don't know a lot about lisp but I figure if I could find a lisp that did this I could plug in my layer/color assignments and it would work.
Using CS6 on a MacBookPro Is there a way to find the closest matching Pantone spot colors to the cmyk colors I've created in Illustrator? I know it's easy in Photoshop using the color picker, but there must be a way to do this in Illustrator.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am a screen printer making a leap into the world of CorelDraw. Loving it so far, especially the trace options. That being said, I have a piece of artwork that a client wanted me to scan in and trace to see how it would turn out. The image can be found here:

Problem I am having is the stick figure in front of the cross. The figure is being grouped with the cross...not allowing me to properly color the image and separate how I need it. The text needs to be red, the cross black, the hearts red, and the stick people white...will be going on a blue t-shirt. Am I looking at having to create my own lines...or am I overlooking/not thinking of an easy way to do this?

In my old drawing program, I converted the text to curves, then ungrouped the set of letters. I can't seem to be able to do this in Corel. Once converted to curves, when I select the text, the option to ungroup is greyed out.
i am posting this only after doing fruitless research online.
I have some old .ppf files which are teaching Slides like a Powerpoint type thing, each file I have has 15-20 pages in and they seem to open in Corel Draw no problem and I have been able to Ungroup also no Problem. But not sure how to put each slide on a separate page (automatically if Possible if not Manually)
Then I want to re-save as a more modern File that I can open or import to Powerpoint ..
I would Imagine that does not matter that they are a .ppf files as would be the same importing any multipage doc .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm working on an online store for flamenco products. We have wide range of dresses and shoes and it's almost impossible to get good quality photos for all of them.
My main concern is that I would like to present all different color options in decent quality imagery. I was thinking of taking the best image for each and simply photo shopping the colors.
Seeing that I will have to do a lot of color options for a lot of dresses and shoes. Moderately quick, decent quality and adaptable to bulk photo shopping.
Basically meaning that I cannot put the care and detail I would if I just photo shopped a single image, I don't need high res pixel perfect quality. It should just look decent and I should be able to do it in a moderate amount of time.
I have a picture with large area of color: #fffdfd, when I save it for web (jpg) this color is changed to #fefcfd (in JPG).
I just can not save as JPG with #fffdfd. (was trying uncheck convert to sRGB, do not embed color profile - always #fffdfd changes to #fefcfd when save for web)
However, color #fefcfd when save for web , does not change.
Why some colors change and some not? Is it a bug ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was making a bussines card, colors in corel looks perfect, exported to pdf file colors stays the same, but when i try to print all colors are off. Deep purple turns pink and black fading objects tuns into lines. Furthermore, when I use 'collect for output' pdf preset 'prepress' colors are off to and when I try to use 'current proof settings' corel just shuts down.

Ok I am interested in changing the colors of cars. I.E. I have a 57 Chevy that I am not sure what color I want to paint and would like to use photoshop to help me decide. The only thing I can do is paint it with a flat color I would like to change it right from the actually pic. I can change the hue/ saturation but that also changes the background. Am I supposed to create a layer for the car itself? It seems that when I do that it doesn't do the same color for all of the body. The car right now has different color paint in the jpeg I am using. I could understand if it was just one color that would be easy but I can't seem to do it for multipule colors. But I have seen where guys that have the same color for one particuliar thing be changed for all.
