MY AI Will not operate correctly it will not open as it should and it will not let me update it keeps saying error u44m147 so i try to uninstal and reinstal it wonlt let me proceed!

I am trying to figure out how to constrain these doors so that they "operate" correctly and not spin 360 degrees when I manipulate them in the overall assembly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since CS5, the move function has operated normally in the horizontal direction but backwards in the vertical direction. In other words, entering a positive value moves objects down, entering a negative value moves them up.
At first I thought this was a bug, but it has continued in CS6 and CC on every computer we have. Yes I'm getting used to it but it's opposite of every other software package we have or have ever had, including Illustrator up to CS5.
I can't find a user control to correct this. Is there a way to do it?
I have been using Photoshop CS and have found it very easy to use and navigate and was looking very forward to getting CS5.
Anyway, I have been stumbling around CS5 for a few days now and opened up a template I created in CS. This template had 2 main layers - 1) was the case or card holder and 2) was the colour of the card backs. These are then opened up in Flash as part of the slideshow.
Now, the case layer had a number of filters mainly the bevel and emboss which remained static as this was the case. The colour of the case needs to change to reflect the colour of the actual case. Another issue as well, is where is the little icon at the bottom of the Actions/History palette gone that allows you to change these filters? I cannot find the Bevel filter in the Filters menu.
how I can open the older psd files in CS5 complete with the layers (is this something that has been dropped) and also tell me where the filter button on the Actions/History palette has gone?
I saved a file as a .tif and it saved as normal then I shut down Photoshop and then the PC. The next day when I try to open the file it doesn't open correctly it opens but the right hand side of the photo is on the left and the left hand side of the image is now on the right, its like its been cut in half and put back the wrong way.
It also didn't open with the layers only as a locked background. When I view the file in the icon it looks fine until I open it.
I have upgraded to Lightroom 5.3. After uploading the software, when I attempt to open the program, I get the message: "The application was unable to open correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. I have not been able to contact Adobe for support.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEnvironment: CS6 (PS 13.0.1) Mac OS X 10.7.5. Plenty of hardware. (Generally starting with .CR2 RAW.)Recently (maybe since the 13.0.1 update??), I have been having problems with the open and save as dialog boxes.
First. The open file dialog always defaults to Enable: blank (i.e. no file types enabled). Each time I have to go to the bottom of the dropdown list and select "All readable documents" before I can open ANY type of file. I've searched in everyway I can think of looking for some method to have OPEN default to "all readable" but can't find anyway to do this. when whipping around at deadline having to stop each time and make this change is irritating. No other program has this difficulty (including Illustrator and InDesign). PS 5.5 did not exhibit this behavior on the same machine.
Second. When I save as and try to select any file format, say going from psd to tiff, the format dropdown list ALWAYS selects the format ABOVE the one I choose. Example: If I select JPEG, PS tries to save as .iff. If I pull the selection down to JPEG2000 it will then save as standard JPEG. Again just an irritant but, tiff (which I need for several other programs) is last on the list thus there is no way I can go one below it to get tiff format selected. It always comes out as png. Also note that the Format selection indicates the correct format - in the case of tiff the dialog box shows TIFF selected, but the program is appending .png. (Continuing the save as (without altering my selection) always results in the incorrect format no matter what the Format dialog says in the save as operation.) Again, no other program I work with (including several Adobe products) exhibits this behavior.
I seriously need to be able to save as tiff.
Will Photoshop correctly open a psd file saved using PSP X16? Will all layers remain intact?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWas working on a Tiff file which started fine then my LR3.6 started to slow down more and more the more work i did. Now it wont operate at all. I increased the RAW cache from 1 to 5GB even though I had only imported 1.5GB of new pics. My laptop is a DELL XPS running Windows Vista with CORE 2 DUO T9300 2.50GHZ, 4GB of RAM and 12GB of available hard drive space but LR System info says it is running at 170% of memory available. I have closed all applications other than LR. What do I do?

I have been struggling today with an issue I've encountered with my documents that I made in Illustrator, then had them uploaded to the web. The document displays big squares around all the paths in my document, containig text and gradients inside them.
When I open the document on my laptop, using adobe reader, it displays correctly, with no hassles, but when I upload them to the web, or even drag and drop the document in to my browser, these big squares appear. I'v etried different PDF settings to try and fix this, but it's not working and as a temporary solution, the document was uploaded as a PNG.
The document itself isn't linked to any =thing, it's just a document that opens when you click on the web button to view it, and then you can download the pdf document from the website.

The rectangle will not to the circle correctly or evenly. This has been happening too much recently and I move on and find a way around it. I've had enough though.
I've turned off and on Snap to point, Snap to grid, Smart guides. Everytime I drag the rectangles edges to the circles, they magically somehow snap back to the original spot or further than I wanted it.
Nothing fixes it. I'm extremely furious! Why is the edge of my circle able to be there but not the edge of the rectangle? I've even tried to increase and decrease the shapes. Still, nothing.
How do I set my Illustrator file to print clearly?
I am designing a simple label (3.75 x 1.25 inches, black and white) that is mostly text based. I tried printing directly from Illustrator and also as a converted PDF (high quality) and the results are the same - slightly blurry and fuzzy text.
The printing problem seems to only happen when I try to print Illustrator files and PDFs converted from Illustrator. (Printing with a laser printer.)
On my iMac, LAYERS don't display correctly in Illustrator CS6.I create 3 layers. When I set "don't print" to the upper layer (Calque 3), the display of the panel isn't correct anymore. The 2 other layers disapear in the panel, but on the workbench everything is still ok.
When moving the layer (Calque 3) down, the display of the panel becomes ok again. But my drawing request that I don't change the layers's place.
I tried to make an animation of complex (comlicated) artwork - I thought it would be Ok by converting each part to symbol, group them - make keyframes and bring Illustrator to make me inbetweens by blending objects. Overall it works, but it has some problems - sometimes it reflect the blended symbol (vertically and horizontally), but sometimes not (so I do not know, what is the problem). Sometimes it change color of feathered black object (every, not only in blended instance) but again - sometimes not. I use CS5 - is it better in CS6? I tried some default symbols (to find out, if it is problem of my symbols) but it is not reliable too.

How do I merge the two layer so that all the artwork outside of the t-shirt lines disappears? I don't want to see any of the artwork that sits off the t-shirt. I have been trying to do this with Pathfinder but I am not having success.

The artboards are the correct size in the file and all elements display properly when saving. Resaving, and reuploading will fix some issues, but cause new ones - it's really random.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe pre-loaded double click options in the CUI were getting really annoying, so I deleted all the double click attributes (while in the CUI tree) to have a clean slate to work with, but now I can't figure out how to add DDATTE to work on a double click.
I followed the Help guide and got all the way until it told me to "drag the command you want to add the double click action in the Customizations In <file name> pane", but I cannot find the DDATTE command in the Command List.
I have tried to upgrade my gimp2.8.2 (default in debian distrubuted version at the moment) to 2.8.10 since I read through release notes and realized I could be an even happier user with this version.During installation I found that I missed quite a few bits and pieces, but I installed them when required. (babl, gegle, glib2 e.g.).Eventually I reached the make install stage and it seemed to work ok. However when now opening gimp I can't open files and I lack quite a few filters possibly other menues missing I havn't walked into everything yet. It seems like a folders supposed to be created and refreshed in /.gimp2.8 was not.
I am on debian wheezy linux (7.2), xfce4 deskop.
i have photoshop elements 9. none of the tools across the top will come up all i have is my pictures in organize. i can't print, transfer, download, import, export. nothing

I got a outlined Text blend with a drop shadow. And another text with a drop shadow on top. Not too complex at all. Heres some screenshots of the problem.

Working in Illustrator CC (latest version) and my undo key command is going back in time and undoing stuff I did earlier in the file. I'm on a Windows 7 machine.

Times New Roman Regular does not display correctly on my machine when using Illustrator CS5, but Bold, Italic, Italic Bold display just fine. Times New Roman does display correctly in every other program I use. InDesign, Word, etc. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean.
I'm having some trouble with smart guides in Ai CS6. They are on. However, when my cursor intersects a guide path, words like 'intersect' and 'guide' do not appear, as I have seen them do for others. Also, the 'heads-up' information display that shows the width and height, e.g. when using the grid tool, does not appear either.
The guides are working to some extent, it seems, since I do get green lines here and there.
I want to make a 3.5" by 2" document. I created a new document, set the artboard width to "3.5 in" and the height to "2 in". When I open the document and look at the actual size, the proportions are correct but about half as big as they should be. what gives?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs you can see from this screenshot I am trying to use the brush tool to complete the shadow of my planet however if I select the planet the brush tool I'm using does not cover up the atmospheric glow. I am not sure how to select the glow effect independantly of the planet. If I do not have the planet selected then the shadow is applied to all the layers including the starfield layer even though it is completely locked which is very annoying in of itself. So I guess my question is how do I get the shadow to be applied to the planet and its atmosphere but not the background stars. I am using a 3600px brush with 0 hardness for the shadow. System: CS6 on Mac OS 10.8.4
