Illustrator :: 3D Clothes Button With Holes In CS6?
Feb 23, 2014
I can make the button profile and spin it around its axis just fine..getting the holes into such a shape is another matter..Is this beyond AI's 3D tool capability?
And to be clear, I mean the clothing type of button, with holes for thread, as opposed to an interactive button pushed by a user on a web page.
I'm currently attempted to simulate a piece of clothing, however, everytime I hit the simulate button it straight up disappears without warning and it's gone until I "Reset" its state again. I don't know what to do. It's currently set up at default settings with a plane as the collision and the piece of clothing as the cloth.
I'd like to use boxes to punch holes into the layered artwork below them. I want the result to look exactly like this image, but with the white boxes being transparent holes.
This seems so simple, but I can't find any combination of layers/pathfinder tools/compound shapes/or clipping masks that will produce this result. No matter what, I end up losing part of the artwork (usually the topo lines and the black bar).
I have done a live trace of a somewhat complex GIF that I want to simplify into black silhouette. What I have is a black object filled with dozens of irregularly shaped closed paths within it. I want to get rid of these, and was thinking I could just choose "ungroup," then select all closed paths except the large one enveloping them and delete them. I'm obviously misunderstanding something, though, since Illustrator sees what I have as one object already. The only way I'm able to remove all those little white shapes is to delete their anchor points one by one. There has to be a better way . . .
I am relatively new to Illustrator. I am using CS6.
I am trying to punch holes in a circle using compound paths, as you can see here :
The tadpole shape and the human shape are the holes I need created in the large circle behind them. Both the tadpole and the human are at the front and all objects are on the same layer. When I select everything and choose CRTL+8, only the tadpole gets cut into the circle. the other shape just stays white.
way to expand portions of clothes in a picture. For example in this picture, I want to know if it is possible to make the uniform of the girl look like a long sleeve uniform.
This is my friend picture im having a hard time changing her clothes color to black and maybe few white stripes because i was telling her she doesnt look good on yellow but rather black i want to surprise her i could change the background myself but i could do it later
I want to change the color of a blazer (suit jacket) in a photo but I also want to change the color of the pinstripes on the blazer to colors different from each other and different from the jacket.
In short I am Trying to assign or attach an existing 3D models Jacket to a Human Character. I have tried many tutorials on youtube but they are all about garment maker clothes not about existing 3D models clothes.
1st- I have a character model with mesh. The mesh his body including trouser (pants) and shirt. The model is biped rigged so works perfect with *.bip animation.
2nd- I have a good looking jacket. Its a original 3d model not made with garment maker.
I tried to attach the jacket as cloth but the jacket did not stay at position when I runplay bip animation, or when I move the model. It seems the jacket is not attached at all as cloth.
I placed the jacket on the character model correctly at position. Then I clicked the MODIFY button.I select in the “modifier list" “cloth”.In “object properties” of cloth I select jacket as “cloth” with presets as “wool”.Then I click “Use Panel Properties”.At add projects I select the other object. And I press “Add”Then I select “Collision Object”.I press “OK”.It seems that the jacket is not attached to the rest of the character mesh or biped.Even when I press “Simulate Local”it does not attach the jacket to the body it miss shapes the jacket.
I was wondering if photoshop or a plugin got a function, which can create a "plane" looking like pants and then fill it with the texture/pattern I want?
Something similar to vanishing point. Though in this case I got pants. So a square ain't useful.
Take a look at the pictures. I cut out the pants, make a plane looking thing, which shows the depths and folds in its area. After that I apply the texture/pattern. Is this possible with photoshop?
I hope you catch my meaning. If not I will try to describe myself better.
I took a picture of my 3 year old daughter on the beach this past weekend, and since I didn't want to spend the money on a fancy white dress, I thought I would use an existing one, and then photoshop it to white. Well, the only dress we had with us on the trip was a pink/shite checkered dress, not a solid color. I'm having one heck of a time doing this.
I've tried both the color change, and the hue/saturation tools, and although I'm able to change the dress from pinkish to white, I am unable to get rid of the checkerboard pattern.
I need to show a clothes hanging rack in the utility room and i want the racks to look like they're loaded with cloths. Back when I was doing this with a pen I would just draw the hangers with a heavy squiggly line, I don't know how to do this in Autocad LT.
I have some pics that the subject had paint splotches on their clothes. Is there a way to blend the surrounding color to cover the paint? Or is there any other way to remove the splotches?
Specifically, I would like to be able to click and hold my middle mouse button to drag the screen, a la the Hand Tool. Additionally, I'd like scrolling my mouse wheel to zoom in and out, rather than scroll the screen up and down. I know this can be done by holding Spacebar to use the left mouse button to drag the screen, but I'd like to be able to do it with my scroll wheel alone, especially since it doesn't already seem to be filling any other important function.
I am very new to Flex/Flash/Illustrator. Using Illustrator CS5.1, Flex 3.6 SDK in Flash Builder 4.5, and Visual Studio 2010.I am developing a hybrid plugin for Adobe Illustrator. The plugin is C++ and interfaces with a hardware device and an UI extension built on Flex/Flash. It uses the CSXS library (version 2.0 based on Flex 3.4 SDK) to perform the communication between the extension and the plugin.
When the UI extension closes, I need the plugin to perform some tasks. These tasks might be related to Illustrator and/or to the device it communicates with. If the UI is closed using a button I add to the UI, the plugin runs the tasks as needed. If the UI is closed using the 'X' button in the corner of the window, I can not get the CSXS interface dispatch events to carry over to the plugin. This is the same dispatch events used from the UI button that I manually created and works fine.
I have tried capturing the exiting event from the NativeApplication and I do see myself entering the associated function to that capture. The dispatch events run but I do not enter the corresponding functions in the plugin.Below is one of several attempts at making this work (believe this was found on the Adobe forums):
public function init() : void { NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener(Event.EXITING, windowedapplication1_closingHandler); } protected function windowedapplication1_closingHandler(event:Event):void { event.preventDefault(); //event.stopImmediatePropagation(); CSXSInterface.getInstance().dispatchEvent(new CSXSEvent("com.testui.events.closing", CSXSEventScope.APPLICATION)); }
Again, windowedapplication1_closingHandler will process but the dispatched event is not seen by my plugin (when the 'X' is clicked). Is there a way to disable/hide the 'X' in the corner of the window?Am I not properly "capturing" and "halting" the exit event?Should I move away from the CSXS Library and use sockets to perform this communication (though the closing of the extension may have the same affect on the socket communication)?I am currently working on Windows 7 64-bit (if that matters) but the plugin will have to work on Mac too.
I need a way to programmatically click one of the interface buttons, if at all possible. I've tried calling the method directly linked to the button, but for some reason it doesn't work. I've tested several different scenarios, but it never works as expected. So, I figured the easiest, most effective way would be to activate a button as if a user had clicked it.
Is there any way to do this? My button is of course an IADMItem and I've tried stuff like SendNotify(), but it just doesn't work as expected.
Seems like there's something really simple that I've been overlooking.
I'm actually a server admin/web developer who inherited a complex C++ project, so I'm still in the middle of figuring half of this stuff out.
I place the image in AI then hit the live trace button. The image changes into what appears to be vector, but remains a solid image. i.e. can not select any of the shapes or use magic wand tool?
I am unable to download the following template: URL....
-Using Chrome, the download button doesn't work. -Using IE 10, the download button works, but takes me to a login screen. When I enter my adobe ID and password, the page just sits there with a spinning circular spoked icon going round and round, indefinitely.
As a result, I am unable to download this template, or any templates.
How to recover the Live Trace button as well as the entire option on a CS5 top bar and Objects menu? Mine has vanished, and while i am still able to find Live Trace under the OBJECT section, it won't allow me to use any of the options. I've tried restarting, I've checked if my images were locked, I've opened various files hoping the outcome would be different, but nothing worked. I've even tried going to Keyboard Shortcuts and keying in a new shortcut, but it won't allow me to as no box appears for me once clicked.
I am growing increasinly frustrated. I just installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on my laptop. I managed to get everything customized the way I want, except the button icons on my (classic) toolbar are much too small. If I go into the menu and select 'use large icons', they are too huge. My screen resolution DOES NOT need to be changed or adjusted. I went to the help menu to see what I can do, and found that I can go into CUI and adjust the size of the button icons that way, via the button image editor, however there is no 'button image editor' dialog box when I select any given toolbar command.
I have button drawing for web in Adobe Illustrator format. I'm trying to get fill settings to create the same look with CSS. I can't find what color to use and gradient settings.
