Dec 3, 2013I have 17.0.0 and have not been presented with the update yet. Is this normal? Did Adobe pull it? Do they roll out updates only to specific configurations?

Feb 3, 2012I have two uninstallers each for Photoshop CS5 (and Illustrator CS5) showing in OS X Launch Pad after a clean install of OS X 10.7.3 and both Photoshop CS5 (and Illustrator CS5).
System status:
17" MacBook Pro (late 2011), Current Firmware updates installed, 240 GB OWC SSD system drive, 8 GB OEM RAM All current Apple software updates and Adobe software updates have been installed.
Troubleshooting attempted:
Disk permissions have been repaired (via Recovery Disk > Disk Utility). Deleted the .db file at ~/Library/Application Support/Dock followed by running sudo killall Dock command via Terminal and then rebooting.
Note - I had rebooted after installing PS CS5 and AI CS5 prior to running Adobe Update Manager and updating to current versions.
Photoshop Elements :: Camera Raw Plugin Not Showing Up As Option In File Menu After Update
Mar 11, 2014I am trying to adjust the white balance using photoshop elements 11, all the information I have come across tells you how to do it using the camera raw plug in. This has been updated and still I do not see it listed when I click on the file menu. I take photos of antique gold lockets using a light house and even though the custom white balance is set on my camera the photos are still coming out too canary yellow. I need to be able to adjust the colors so that they are more antique rose gold looking and have been reading different articles and videos on how other people adjust the colors and would like to try a couple of the ways I have seen but am unable as the camera raw plug in is not showing up as an option.

I have version 17.0.2--I have gone to the creative cloud to update and it tells me that I am updated. When I look under "about illustrator" the version is 17.0.2. Is there another step that I am not aware of.

Jan 16, 2014I happened to update Illustrator CC 16/01/14. Which had a comment Bug Fixes.They had some cool updates but also a bug which stopped my work.
Step1: Created an multi-layered vector artwork with gradient fill and stroke.
Step 2: Saved as SVG file - Settings Profile: SVG 1.1
Step 3: SVG file is not saved properly hence unable to regenerate - Problem: Artwork Scale and Canvas size has minimised drastically.
Same art is saved perfectly in .ai format.Requirement is SVG format only. How can I revert the previous update.My MBP's Time machine is disabled from the beginning.

Mar 20, 2014I have just updated Illustrator CC to v17.1 and now it will no longer launch.There is a bouncing icon in the dock for about a second and then no activity, no warnings or errors.My mac is quite old (MacPro5.1 Quad-core running osx 10.6.8) which may well be the problem.Never the less Illustrator 17.0 ran perfectly well prior to the update.
Uninstalling Illustrator 17.1 and reinstalling v17.0 works.If Illustrator is allowed to update as recommended it no longer launches.Is there something in the update that prevents my older spec mac from running it?

Jun 14, 2013It seems I may be pressing random buttons, and I'm unable to reverse the effects they bring.First one being that all of my shapes now have these grey boxes around them that I cannot remove, cannot edit or interact with. I thought maybe they were just really annoying guides, but when I export to png to test this, low and behold there they are! How do I remove these?
Also, my shapes are not filling. When I give them a fill color, everything behind them is still showing through and the colors are not there. Every item has a different fill color, but none of these colors are showing up! because lines are showing through from the back.

Illustrator :: PDF Not Showing Certain Updates In CC?
Nov 5, 2013I've had a strange problem that happens every so often and is very annoying and time consuming. I'll be working in Illustrator CC and I save my work as pdf (with editing abilities preserved). Then when I open the file later, the last changes that I made to the file don't show in Illustrator, they are just gone, layers, changes - sometimes it is a lot of work lost.
The strangest part is that at the same time Bridge previews the updated file correctly, showing all the updates I made. And if I open the pdf in Acrobat, the changes are there as well. But in Illustrator they are not. So in the same moment I can look at the file in 3 programs but only two show it correctly.
Using a Mac and CC.

May 15, 2012I'm using lynda.com "Essentials" to learn the product (CS6).
The tutorial shows you how to accurately line up guidelines by using the Info panel. However for me the info panel "locks" as soon as I select a guideline from the ruler and drag it onto the artboard. It only starts updating when I move my mouse off the guideline - which makes it useless.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug introduced since Adobe CS6 was first released? (I noticed there was an update this morning - 15th May 2012 - which I've applied)

Jul 10, 2012When I drop a swatch color on a gradient, it doesn't link to the swatch color like in a solid fill.Nevermind the UI inconsistency with this behavior, since Adobe probably doesn't care, but how do I get around this?
Creating a Swatch from the gradient is not a solution for me, as I use the same base color in different gradients.

before today's update scrooling was normal. each "step" i made with the mousewheel i zoomed in or out. this is broken since the update. i have to do a lot of mousewheel "movement" to start zooming. it therefore feels very inaccurate and random.

May 12, 2012In Illustrator CS5, I would use a font called Kozuka Mincho Pro/EL. Illustrator's font selector would show the font with the English name. I'm on a Mac running 10.7.4 and Font Book shows me the font with the English name as well. After upgrading to CS6, the font name in Illustrator is being displayed in Japanese. Unfortunately, I don't read Japanese. Is there some way to correct this on my end or is there a bug in Illustrator CS6?
