Dec 12, 2012I applied the lateset automatic update to Photoshop CS6 (the one that adds Retina display support) and it's corrupted the Photoshop icon (Mac OS X).
Here's a composite screenshot showing the icon in the Dock, the small icon in the Finder's Column View, and the large icon in the Finder doesn't display at all, and is replaced with a generic icon. They all exhibit a different type of visual corruption.
Photoshop :: Character Palette After Latest CS6 Update
Jun 6, 2013Since the latest update earlier this week, I've experienced major issues with the character palette - particularly the point size and tracking. The tracking issue is by far the greater of these two evils and the following explains the issues I've observed:
tracking - the number you type isn't the number used to set the tracking. The slider and up/down arrows do not remedy this problem, though they make it slightly more predictable. The number that appears seems random, though I've noticed a pattern in some instances (typing 20 sets tracking 18, typing 40 sets it 36, typing 60 sets it 54, and so on). This issue also appears to be connected to free transforming a text layer, so the pattern is possibly based on the percentage of scaling.
font size - the number you type works if size is increased in small increments to a certain point. Then it max's out, and this error appears repeatedly (after ok is clicked the error pops back up)
I've searched the web for resolutions to the issue and haven't found anything. This is what I've tried and none of it worked to any lasting degree:
- set units to pixels in preferences and restart photoshop
- set units back to points in preferences and restart photoshop
- restart photoshop and pc (several times)
- shut down photoshop and pc (several times)
- unplug pc and discharge static

Dec 19, 2010Against my better judgment I let the latest update install on Video Studio Pro X3 (now at 13.6.2.69) and now all my videos are skipping. This is happening in the time-line with camcorder and other source videos, and worse, when produced as output videos from VS is then in those permanently. The source videos are fine because I checked in Media Player. VS produced videos played in Media Player show the skipping - ugh. Prior to the upgrade everything was perfect. how do i downgrade?

After latest update several days ago it stopped working, displaying an error message instead:
"The 3D features require that 'Use Graphics Processor' is enabled in the Performance preferences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly"
The Graphic Processor is enabled, and the driver is working fine.
Is this a bug or a "feature" in new version? How to make it work as before the update?

Apr 8, 2013Whenever I edit text in the pop-up dialog, there is usually an extra line inserted at the top of the text (a blank first line). I am running MAC OS 10.7.5 with latest PS-CS6 and latest raw converter plug-in 7.1. On-One seems to hi-jack these Sony raw files and won't give me the opportunity for the adjustments that I get with the Adobe Raw File converter.

Jan 4, 2014I am running OS 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro (traveling). Use Suitcase Font Management. Saved 1.5 Mb file and closed it. When I go to File-->Open Recent, or File-->Open and select the file to reopen, it does not open. When I double-click on the file, it also does not open. If I quit Illustrator CC and relaunch it, I can then open that same file using any of the aforementioned methods. Is this something I can fix or is it a 10.6.8 glitch? I can live with it if I have to, but it is inconvenient. T

Sep 6, 2010I'm trying to open some AMD partner logos, and they're in EPS format. I tried opening them in PSPX2 originally, and it gave the error that "This PostScript file is either not valid or contains unsupported features" so I tried PSPX3 and the same thing is happening. I tried opening them in Notepad to see if there was anything in there to identify the program that was used to create them and it appears to be Illustrator 13. Oct 2, 2012I have CS5 and began a file yesterday only to have multiple problems today when I tried to open it. First it said,
"File is not readable"
Yet when I opened it on my schools computer it was able to open. Then my other file did open but when I tried to save it it said,
"When spot colors are used with transparency,changing them to process colors outside of illustrator can generate unexpected results."
Then when I cancelled that it began to read,
"Saving to a legacy format may cause some changes to your text layout and disable some editing features when the document is read back in"
I don't really understand how I could fix this issue because obviously its the file inside. Now I did have a lot of imaged in the file that I made in photoshop where I took away the background, made it transparent then saved as a png. Is that the issue? Most of my images on the file are .png and were edited with photoshop.

Apr 25, 2013I have create an excel file with a description and a hyperlink.With this way the user is able to open all the file that was able to open in only one excel.So far everything is OK.My problem is this. Have added 3 new lines for 3 different adobe illustrator files.When the user makes a click in the hyperlink open the adobe illustrator but is empty.They don't opening the file that has added in the hyperlink. (It happens only in the .ai files all the other files .pdf - .doc - .jpg opening without any problem)

The example would be that I have stuff made from way back that the colors/dimension sytles ect dont match the current standard and upon opening a file where they are not current, it would either prompt to update immediatly OR update automatically with no prompting (preferred method).
I am doing a massive amount of updates from old files recently and to save myself 1 - 3 clicks per drawing would be wonderful.
