I am trying to make animations for my presentation of my master thesis. I have seen a couple of video tutorials where they just import the images as layers. My problem is that when I do this, all the layers seem to stack up together, so when I create the gif, the animation consists of the first layer, then the second one "on top" of the first one, then the third with the previous two, and so and so forth.

When adding a new sub-assembly to an existing ipn, the newly added assembly doesn't have the + sign to expand it. (see image)
Steps:
1. create a part. (anything will do) - Part1
2. make an assembly and add Part1 a few times. - Assembly1
3. make another assembly and add Assembly1 a couple of times. - Assembly2
4. create a presentation file with Assembly2, add a tweak for good measure. - Assembly2.ipn
5. Save the ipn. (and any other unsaved files)
6. now go back to Assembly2 and add another instance of Assembly1.
7. look at the presentation again, if it's the same as our situation there shouldn't be a + next to the newly added instance.
I found this image of my great grandparents( I think that's who it is) in albums from the estate of my uncle. Imbedded in the pages of hundreds of photographs was this one negative.
I don’t have a negative scanner, but I scanned it into my computer with my regular flatbed scanner, hoping I could figure how to work some magic with Gimp and get a regular picture out of the deal.
The best I could come up with was colors>invert. But that produced less than satisfactory results. In fact, in made it look more like a negative.
I have followed the instructions here [URL]......... installed GTK+, fiddled and cajoled and still I cannot get python scripts to run from within Gimp. The scripts show up in the menu within Gimp, but when clicked on, do nothing.
I am using Windows 7 32 bit, Gimp 2.6. I installed Python 2.6, pygtk all-in-one installer 2.2.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've seen animations that were taken from music videos or movies but not the typical square or rectangular shape but asymmetrical etc. I've even seen an animation shaped like a cloud.
How the heck do I do that? I know how to make animations but how do I get them to be oddly shaped.
How to use a photo behind cut out text and everything was going fine until I tried to add text and change the color. The text is invisible even though I changed the color to white and the box resized itself really small and I can't see anything even though I set it to 150 px.
Try to unchecking the 'dynamic text' button but I don't see this button anywhere in my text tab.
I have never been able to successfully use GIMP for anything because of this problem with adding text. I have had 2 versions, Windows and Linux. Right now I am using it with Pangolin.
I see that one of the export file formats in X4 (I have CGS) is .SWF, the Flash file format. Can I create Flash animations in CorelDraw using vectors and/or bitmaps (JPEGs) and if so, how?

View 10 Replies View RelatedInstalled CS4 Production Premium about a month ago. Recently went to File--Automate--PDF Presentation and it is missing. Should have read the forums before I got CS4! So I confidently went back to Photoshop C3 Extended and started to do a series of PDF Presentation document builds. My one page "documents" went fine. Had two multi-page documents. Go thru the menus ok and even see the page by page presentation during the document build and then no error. Come to find out, all the multi-page files have the proper "name.pdf" but have a file size of zero. Now this never happened prior to installing CS4.
Q1. Did the installation of CS4 actually remove function from the installed Photoshop CS3?
Q2. What happened to all the Photoshop CS3 plug-ins? Don't see any way to get a listing in CS4.
Maybe I missed it but was all the function removal from CS3 with CS4 ever described in the "What's New in CS4" documentation?
I'm trying to make a door. But my door making tool now starts making the width, y direction in my perspective window instead of in the x direction. I'm using snap to vertex, but it still wants to go the way it wants to. It worked at first, but now now. Any thoughts on what might have changed?

If i draw a line with a small angle, like 3 or 4 degrees, the result lookslike a STAIRCASE! A staircase with small steps!
I observe that Photoshop have a tendancy to make straight line so when i do my angle it does a very small staircase.
Why is that? CPU is slow ( do not think so; runnuing 2.4 Ghz) My mouse is not precise?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have objects in a layer and I want them displayed as wireframe. The problem is that it seems that I can't do that when in Nitrous diplay mode!
I go to the layer properties, choose wireframe in the upper right corner and set all the objects' display properties to "By Layer". And nothing happens! They are still displayed shaded. When I switch to Direct3D display mode however everything works perfectly fine as it should.
There's something I've noticed with Nitrous. Many things in Max don't work fine when it's used - Xrefs can't be displayed as box, edges are breaking up (non-continuous) and tend to disappear when at the periphery of an object. And now, layer properties don't work as well? What gives?! I thought Nitrous was the recommended display driver (at least that's what it says in Preferences) but it turns out that important functionality is broken when you use it so you have to revert back to the good old Direct3D.
Want to ask how can i make that yellow line become thicker ?! I already made the lineweight to 2.11mm but it still can't change to thicker .

I know there has to be a way to do this. I don't even pretend to know what the Radius X & Y and Center X & Y are for.
I'm having trouble making fonts using X4. I've found the export "ttf" filter, and the dialog opens for my first letter, which allows me to assign the ASCII position, and that works out fine. A TTF file is created, with that letter shown. However, when I try to export the next object for the next letter, instead of simply opening the assigning dialog for the next object, so as to add to the file, it goes to the dialog asking me to name the file, and when I do, Corel crashes.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been removing photo backgrounds, saving them as .png and using them in a Power Point Project. Apparently when I reopened that PowerPoint project to add more photos, Libre Office's Impress opened the .ppt file rather than PowerPoint. When I had added all of the png photos and saved the ppt file again I saw that it was "Impress" not PowerPoint that was saving he file, but it still saved it as a ppt file.
I was not concerned until I went to open the ppt file with PowerPoint and discovered that PowerPoint could not open that ppt file. I decided that I had to start fresh and add all of the png photos in a new Pow1erPoint Project. Then I found that he transparent background ol all of the png files had been changed to black. I must have transparent backgrounds. So I took each photo back into Paint.Net and used the Magic Wand to remove the backgrounds, then saved them as png files. When I sent to use those edited .png files the backgrounds were still black. I have tried removing those black backgrounds several times but they continue to have black backgrounds. what I can try to get the transparent backgrounds back?

I couldn't find any updates for Bridge CS6.If Adobe wants us to use Bridge for generating pdf's it'd better be working correctly.
My boss has seen a video clip that start with an aerial view of a building, then a rotation around that building- a top view which turns into CAD or similar drawing. Then the building is viewed floor by floor from top to ground floor. Then the clip carries on showing a production line with conveyor belt moving and so on.
Now he wants to prepare a similar thing for a job he is pricing at the moment. He wants to know what packages are needed and time scales for getting something like this ready. I have never done any animation don’t know where to start.
I can produce 3D drawings with CAD and Solid works and thats about it.
I need to show crisp large format cad drawings in a slide show presentation. Any professional way to do it?

View 0 Replies View RelatedWhen I make pictures with my camera, they are of very high quality, about 4000*3000 pixels. When I open them in Organizer elements, the quality is still very high.
However, whenever i want to make a presentation, teh resolution of so much downgraded that pictures get all blocky. If I want to export this presentation, the highest quality i can select is 1024*768 dpi, ony 25% of the original photo size.
How I can get my presentations in a decent quality?
I am clicking on a layer in GIMP, and when I click on the text tool, this dialog pops up"CONFIRM TEXT EDITING" "the layer you selected is a text layer but it has been modified using other tools. Editing the layer with the text tool will discard these modifications. You can edit the layer or create a new text layer from its text attributes."
with 3 options, Create New layer, Cancel, and Edit
however, no matter what I click, it doesn't let me create new text anywhere.
ALSO, it seems to jump from the layer i selected to another layer whenever I click "EDIT."
What is weird is that I was able to create new text prior to this, but not anymore. I am editing a photoshop document, but it's now saved as XCF. Also, it's gimp 2.8.0
I am having issues with creating viewports in the attached file. When I open the layout, say layout 3, it shows the viewport frame but I cannot highlight it in order to delete it. This is a setting in this file I have inadvertently turned on or off. I have created a new file, done a scribble, opened a layout and deleted the viewport.

I never had a problem with this before Bridge was required to create pdf presentations.
The files used to create the presentation in Bridge are either psd or Photoshop pdf at 300 dpi. I am completely self-taught in Photoshop and my skill level is moderate at best,
It is always a pleasure as well as informative experience. My question is simple I would like to incorporate a Powerpoint presentation to my video project. Is this possible? If so how would I go about uploading the PP files to Video Studio Pro x4? Or even better Is there any way for me to create Power point like video screens with Video Studio Pro x4 editing or templates?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI created *.ipn file and I tried to record the animation AVI file. After I finished playing the animation, I can see the AVI file was created but with 0KB, the avi is empty and cannot open.
I have no problem to create AVI file in my laptop but have such problem in my office's desktop computer.
