Jan 17, 2012Is it possible in GIMP to equalize the intensity of different pictures? So that the pictures have the same brightness and that the color curves (histogram) are identical?

GIMP :: Pixel Intensity Across Specified Vector?
Jul 25, 2013I have an image which i would like to measure the pixel intensity along a specific vector. I do not want the total pixel intensity for the entire image, i would like to draw a line, ie with the measurement tool and get a graph showing the pixel intensity as you travel along that line.

Jan 21, 2013I did a studio shoot recently and all 400+ images were properly exposed. But at one point during the shoot I must have hit a setting on my camera that under-exposed by 1 stop or so about nine frames. Is there a way in Lightroom 4 to bring those nine frames up to the same exposure value as the others. I was shooting in Canon camera RAW.

I'm making a birthday card, I have a backgound picture where I want to merge the face of the birthday hero, but obviously plain merge would look rather clumsy.
So I need to make the two "pictures look the same", like if the pictures were taken in similar conditions. All the grains, color depths, noise, saturation etc....
AutoCAD Inventor :: Equalize Material Appearances Globally In Whole Assembly In 2013?
Dec 9, 2012In Inventor 2012 user has ability to change the material properties globally.
All parts using certain material will follow the changes made to properties and written to single library. It is clear and predictable.
In Inventor 2013 material properties belong to individual file.
When changes were done to appearance properties of a single part there could be situation when the same material parts in the assembly could have different appearance.
Here is the fact I do not understand and it is contradict to actual reality since the same material with the same standard must look absolutelly the same when switched to Master view.
Seems like to make parts look the same or to change the appearance I should click on each single file and make the same changes to each file.
I do not intend to change the appereance properties in single file on purpose to make problems to myself but I am sure I will take somebody else part and it will be changed due unnecessary reflection or other too much realistic things added in 2013. So finally I will get some sort of parrot collored assembly without clear and most importand easy way to make an order.
So I wish I could equalize all same material parts in apearance view. I do not count the way of clicking each file.
Photoshop :: Light Intensity Measurement
Jan 17, 2009way to quantitatively measure the level of light intensity in different conditions. I know there are light intensity gauges that measure lumens and fc's but I was wondering if there is a way to measure the brightness of an image using photoshop?
So far I have noticed that there is a way to change basically everything about an image but I haven't found anything that gives me information about the picture itself besides its size and resolution.
Does anybody know how to measure light intensity or brightness of an image?
Photoshop :: Losing Color Intensity
Aug 27, 2008I am trying to provide an image to an ad company for printing. When I change the color mode from RGB to CMYK, I lose the beautiful intense blue of the sky. I have tried to get this intensity back through photo filters, curves, levels, saturation, variations, color balance, selective color, and the channel mixer to no avail. Can anyone give me some tips on this? (I freely admit that my solution will probably be found in some combination of the above!)
I am using PS CS2 on WXP xp2.

There is a cloudy appearance over the subjects in the pictures that I have not been able to get rid of. Is there anything that can be done to the photo before scanning? Oct 23, 2012I have tried multiple ways to have the intensity from our pointclouds show up inside Autocad 2013 with no success. I have tried multiple jobs exporting different formats from Cyclone 7.4. The file types I have tried are PTS, PTG, and PTX. All of these file read into AutoCad 2013 and create a Pointcloud. In AutoCad the pointcloud properties state that intensity values have been loaded, but when I attempt to view them the cloud stays white. I have also tried all the Shademode types in AutoCad. The intensity values from Cyclone appear between -1000 and +1000 values. The following is a list of steps I tried on multiple projects. Software Cyclone 7.4- AutoCad 2013 File types exported and imported PTS PTX PTG Shademodes Used All Standard Modes.

GIMP :: Import All Pictures Have A Pinkish Hue
Feb 12, 2012I have a Canon Rebel t3 and when I try to import my pictures they all have a pinkish hue to them. I have looked at all the settings and they are all set to their default. So I went to UFRaw site to see if my camera was supported and it looks like it is not. I was told to download a DNG converter which I did, it was update 6.4. Unfortunately, when I try to open this it says "Update not applicable".

GIMP :: Scaling To Tiny Pictures
May 16, 2012Just a question about scaling and pixelation. I've been doing some 3D models in ZBrush at a 960x960 size, and wanting to scale them down to 48x48 size, very small icons for a game engine.
Anyway I started doing this with just normal scale in GIMP, but the picture just turned out like a big blur. With further investigation I found GIMP add-ons, Liquid Scale and Step Scale (I think that was it's name) where you can step down the scale of the picture and sharpen it during step downs etc.
Still not having much luck, I can get it to look better, but not good, still very pixelated and blurry. The required result I want is something along these lines - Picture
Using high res picture, I've tried PNG, GIF, PSD with not really much luck.

GIMP :: Text At Bottom Of Pictures?
Jun 8, 2011Just started using Gimp 2.6.11. I like it for cutting and pasting into new files but I'm having trouble learning the method of adding captions at the bottom of pictures where I'd like to place text of the names of the people above. I get text in black but the background stays the same as previous in the picture so most of the time it can't be seen. I really need to get this going in the next week or so as I'm preparing for an event where the pictures will be on display.

I used to be able to do quick and dirty salvaging of pics that are too darkin Photoshop Elements 2 using the levels tool. While Gimp has a levels tool it doesn't seem to work quite the same way.
So what would you do to restore a pic like this?
