GIMP :: Units Menu Should Appear On The Bottom Line?
Oct 23, 2011
According to a few tutorials I have read, the Units Menu should appear on the bottom line, alongside the Status and the Pointer Coordinates and Zoom Button. None of these items appear, and I have searched far and wide, but can't find out where to enable them. The only thing that appears on that line is "Background (2.7 MB)".
How do I make the edges of the top layer blend in with the bottom layer so you cannot tell that there is a line??? I want to make it look like a heart but I don't know how to smoothen the edges to make it look like it is part of the bottom layer so when I merge the layers there is no goofy lines looking like someone cropped another fire picture out...
When I try to open Elements 10 it opens on the bottom menu bar but not on full screen. I think last time it happemed it was something to do with preferences
Marking menu that cuts off the bottom of the screen yet? This is very anoying that on some PC's if clicking somewhere closer to the bottom of the screen a portion of your context meny cuts off. If you click even lower then it jumps to the top but there is an area where it does not work.
I noticed that the history brush screenshot taken from the fly-out menu (instead of from the camera icon at the bottom of palette) doesn't work. History brush only works if you use the camera icon at the bottom of the history pallette and then select "current layer" for your snapshot from the drop down menu which shows up after you press the camera icon.
when i draw a line with 4 units in autocad the line seems as small as a point but in the example i watched it was long enough so how can change line length shown and in the another example i watched after clicking the line command and specifying first point the user was typing a length in the command line as 4'7-1/2 and clicking enter.after this the line's direction and length was automatically forming.but when i doing the same it doesnt work.how can i do both of these.
Is it me or is leading only affecting the bottom line/sentence of the line HIGHLIGHTED in CC?
Before, if I wanted to set the leading, I would highlight the line I want to affect and set it...that selected sentence would be the one to shift up or down. Now, the leading affects the sentence BELOW the sentence I highlighted.
I've just discovered my Command Line Box at the bottom of the screen is missing in action...not sure what I did to loose it. Any COMMAND to get it back?
Im having trouble inputting imperial units for my line lengths. It works fine when i type 4-3/4 it gives me a line that is 4 and 3/4 of an inch long. Can i only input values in inches or is it possible to input something say 4' 4-3/4 ?
We export our renders to be used in a GUI and for some reason the bottom of our renders since last week (to be fair we only have one user who exports - so only one user has this problem) have a solid black line on the bottom. Now this wouldn't be a horrible problem except we have to set a transparency color in our control software and since the background is not uniform it is VERY obvious when in our final software package. We also have to maintain a constant resolution or the control systems (what we use the renders in) will distort and be way off.
Here is a sample: [URL]....
This happens in both 2013 and 2012. Perhaps there are some lightning/render settings I can try changing on this users machine?
how to get this problem resolved. everytime i use my type, when i click on my work area, a black dot appears on page before i begin to type. then no matter what font i use, there is a black line under all my type. how can i get just the black dot from appearing at first when i click, and that annoying line under all my type to dissappear! i'm veryy new to photoshop, and i have cs.
Using illustrator CC, I want to curve the bottom line of my text upwards, but not have the top or sides move at all. Imagine of the text was something squishy, and I pushed it down onto the top of an arc. I've only been working with Adobe CC for about a week now. I've seen lots of examples of having the text follow a curved path, but they all curve the entire thing, whereas I only want the bottom of the text to curve.
I have a weird problem when printing from Illustrator CS4, i get a symmetric linie at the bottom of the page in the same color as the star i am printing, and the color of the line changes when i change the color of the star ?
How do I control which colors appear in the color line that scroll across the bottom of the window. The only colors that currently appear are shades of reds/purples and yellows/greens. If I scroll across from left to right the same colors just keep repeating themselves. There are no shades of gray or blue. Can I somehow preset the colors that appear or do I have no control over what colors scroll across the bottom.
I'm trying to create a feature line to use as a breaklline for the bottom of a ditch. I click on the first contour, elev.678, accept the elevation, click the next contour, select T for transition, then accept the elevation, 677. I would like to end up with a feature line having a first node elev. 678, end node elev. 677, slope -4% (contours are 25' apart). Instead, The first node is 678, slopes @ -1.33% to an inserted node, elev. 677.1, then slopes at -21.88% to end node elev. 677. What am I doing wrong? I don't see a lot of options here when creating (drawing) a feature line. Should I be using something else to accomplish this task?
I am desperately looking for the function in Coreldraw that allows me to cut one object based on the intersection of another object. Essentially I am looking for the "Trim" function that exists in Autocad.
Example... draw a circle...then draw a line that crosses the center of the circle. I want to be able to remove the bottom half of the circle below the intersection line.
draw and long narrow ellipse...then draw a circle on top of the ellipse I want to remove the ends of the ellipse outside circle..In autocad this takes exactly 3 keystrokes and less than 2 seconds...I have tried everything in Coreldraw and cannot find away to make this happen...
We have a title block wherein the Location attribute is normally a single line, but occasionally is two or more lines. Within the title block this attribute is surrounded by lines, left, right, top, bottom.
We would like the bottom line to move down when the user adds additional lines to the attribute.
I have a square image where I want to erase everything left of a line from bottom left corner to top right corner, so it will be transparent. How's that done easiest?
When I rotate a landscape image 90 degrees to portrait format the top and bottom of the image gets cut off. How do I prevent that and be able to view the whole image?
Just started using Gimp 2.6.11. I like it for cutting and pasting into new files but I'm having trouble learning the method of adding captions at the bottom of pictures where I'd like to place text of the names of the people above. I get text in black but the background stays the same as previous in the picture so most of the time it can't be seen. I really need to get this going in the next week or so as I'm preparing for an event where the pictures will be on display.
I have created this over and over, and it seems every time, the bottom comes out fuzzy. What would be the best way for the bottom "triangle" to be straight like the sides and top?
After reading this I can now make a bar on the bottom of the picture but since I'm a beginner I was wondering what would be ways of improving it />
Here's my simple creation. />
I need to make 20+ such bars with different pictures and my main concern is how to set that bar to be on the same level/height on each of the pictures, provided that pictures are of different sizes. />( The same with the flag location, to stay on the same place on all 20+ pictures, what should I do?
I'm a first time GIMP user. I'm a long-time Adobe PhotoShop user. What is the default ruler units. How can I change the ruler units and divisions to whatever I want?
I would like to take some text and modify the color of it toward the bottom of the text. This is to only change text color- not background. I've found several docs including here saying
"In the toolbox at the bottom of the text tool option click "Path from text" ".
As well as the following Instruction:
It seem with this information I should be able to do it but I can't find Path from Text anywhere. then there is the idea of blend vs gradient.. which is which?
