I am using an r1900 Epson a3 printer. I am trying to print my images on A3 paper however no matter what settings i change they always appear as a4. I have change the scale, fit to canvas and page set up all with no effect.
View 1 RepliesMy work entails regenerating new drawings from aging specification drawings and figures. Very little actual CAD, more hand-tracing JPGs than anything. I'm new to AutoCAD LT and haven't used most of its features. But the one feature I really need right now is to be able to print a black box on a sheet of paper.
As in, a 2-D closed polygon with a solid black fill. Unfortunately, AutoCAD LT doesn't think I should be allowed to print a black box on a sheet of paper.
I've tried assigning the color to the box using properties. I've tried defining layers and moving the box to the "black" layer (funny that "black" isn't a defined color in AutoCAD...that's way cool...). I've tried various settings in the Plotter setup screen.
I have a color plot table selected and I'm trying to print to .PDF. I work strictly out of the model view and do a lot of print previews. What am I, or have I, done, or not done, that I'm supposed to be doing, to print the box?
I recently upgraded to PhotoshopCS5.5 and find that I can't print on my HP Photoshop Premium printer. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.6.8. I also am unable to open 2 images at the same time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to add a custom paper size to Gimp? I have a new HP wide format printer and was looking for a capability to customize the paper size. Hewlett Packard and Microsoft have said that the customization of paper size is application specific even though Microsoft tells you can customize paper size through server properties , which on my XP machine will not save the custom settings.

I used scale image to make a 2.314" x 3" image to print so it'll fit in a frame that I have for that same size. When I print it out the size looks great but it's over on the edge of the 4x6 paper and most of the picture is cut off. I tried, I should use print size and not canvas size but when I change the print size to 4x6 it also changes my canvas size back to 4x6. I still have my original so I can do this again but what I want is a 2.314"x3" image to print out on my 4x6 glossy paper.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI What I'm trying to do is take an image off the net (mainly Marvel and DC characters) and open them up in GIMP and making the "reverse" image of that file. So I will have the character twice, but when printed I can paste the two back to back and they both show the same image, back and front....hope that made sense.
Also, how would I put, lets say, 5 images on one sheet of paper? I don't want to print just one image on 1 sheet and waste so much paper. I'd like to get 4 -6 on 1 sheet of paper, print them out and glue them back to back for my paper miniatures.
I am useing a Canon Pro 9000 MKII and when I try to print 11x14 paper, it will not alow custom paper size. The Canon printer driver does have custom size but it does not show up in printer settings.

But now I need a print 90 mm (9cm) by 150mm (15 cm) and even after unlocking the chain the print comes out at 150 by 115 mm...I've tried it about 50 times now and it's always the same.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since transferring all my files to a new computer, I have been unable to permanently overwrite any images opened in Gimp 2.2 nor 2.6. Worse, any image or even folder created through Gimp does not show up in the Windows directory folder. (but, strangely does if viewed through Gimp itself...)
The images are still changed from the last time were I last left off, but on rare occasions, usually after altering Windows User Controls, the images revert to the appearance of when they were uploaded to the computer(around 12/17/11 according to the files). Luckily, they revert back to my last known save (Yesterday) if a System Restore is initiated.
The images in question are .GIF images and they were imported from Windows Xp to 7.(whom I highly suspect is the problem) The Gimp version I use is 2.2.
I heard many good things about Gimp so I downloaded it, eager to begin editing my photos. But for the last 30 minutes, I have been unable to even upload an image to begin editing. I've tried everything, but no matter what, my images will not "drag and drop" like they're supposed to. I am getting more and more frustrated by the second. I read it might be the fact that it's a "jpg" file,so I tried renaming it, as suggested, still, no luck! I'm using a Mac Os X 10.6.8
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to work with TIFF images got from Image Pro Plus butGIMP 2.8 doesn't open them, I found that's a problem related to Image ProPlus because misses some tags. Also, I tried with ImageMagick using:
convert "prueba 1.tif" "prueba 1.png"
convert "prueba 1.tif" "prueba 2.tif"
The first works fine, just with some warnings, PNG image was createdsuccesfully.
The second doesn't work and in any case if I do:

I seem to be unable to rename either layers or images if they are being exported. When I use alphabet letters to rename a layer, for example, GIMP toggles through tools. It is using shortcuts to open different things? . I have something checked or unchecked that will allow alphabetic renaming....where do I look ?

I made a test. I made the same action (crop) on the same images with different retouching programs. Than I exported the images in JPEG, loaded on USB key, to see them on TV screen . The software I tested

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am completely new to gimp I have an image that is 8in x 6in. It was previously edited in Photoshop on another computer thats how I know the actual size. When I load it into gimp, the image size is in real life the same, I can take a ruler to the screen and it measures 8in x 6in at 100% zoom. However, according to gimps rulers, the image is over 11in x 7in. So I measured what is one inch on gimps ruler and it is actually 3/8in in real life. When I create a grid to overlay the image, through Filters-Render-Patterns-Grid and I make the settings to be 1in x 1in, it too shows up based on gimps ruler measurements. I have the ruler set up in inches but a gimp inch is not a real life inch, and this shows up when I scale the image to 8in x 6in it actually makes the image 5 1/2in x 3 3/4in in real life when printed out. How can I get gimp to display a real life inch and how can I get my images to print out based on real life inches.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've printed a large Illustrator CS6 document to PDF (using Adobe PDF setting in print dialog box), and it looks just fine when I view the PDF. The problem is that some lines do not print when I try to print the PDF on paper. I've tried adjusting settings and printing to the PDF in different ways, but can't figure it out. Everything looks great on the screen, but some lines are missing once printed to paper. Others have tried printing the PDF as well and are also getting missing lines.

I can not print imported images (JPG or TIFF) large size 80 - 260 Mb.
Print all but the raster! I tried to print on a plotter in JPG, TIFF, in whole or in parts, useless.
If I export the whole project in JPG 2000x3000 pix, all right, but I have 9000x10000 pixels - that size is not exported.
Recently I noticed that when I print on a certain paper (Epson Premium Ultra Luster Photo Paper) that a blue tint is being printed on the paper along with the image. This seems to be occurring whether I use a standard .icc file or a customized .icc file for this paper. Am using Adobe CS5 to manage colors, rendering intent relative colorometric. Am using an iMac with 10.6.8. and Epson 3880 printer. The only thing I can think that changed is I upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 a few months back. If you look along the sides of the image below you can see what I'm getting.
Just for the heck of it, I just printed the same image with Photoshop Elements 9, and I am not getting this blue cast.
I'm trying to print a flier on A6 paper on an HP CP1515n. I set the paper size in Corel 12 to A6, then set the paper size on the printer to A6. The paper feeds through very nicely - with nothing on it.
It works fine printing from MS Word so I am placing the paper correctly.
Using XP Home Edition SP 3.
I am currently printing on A4, then cutting into 4. I have found a cheap source of A6 paper but can't get my fliers to print.
I have autocad 2013 student version installed on a MacBook Pro with OSX mountain lion, worked properly, but now I can not print anything in paper, pdf, or preview. I just try re-installing the software, creating new layout, select the printer from "Edit page setup" menu, without any results.

The reason this came up is because yesterday I printed a half size set on our new plotter using twice the paper I needed. Each sheet printed on half of a 36”x12” sheet of paper (print is 18”x12”). I was throwing away 18” per print. What would be awesome is to be able to get another print onto that wasted 18”.
