View 1 RepliesI had Photoshop 7.0 installed on an XP that crashed and had to re-built (new hard disk? I don't remember). Anyway I lost all the apps I had, and I'm trying to get PS 7.0 re-installed. I have the original CD complete with the serial number right on the box. But this was an upgrade from PS 6.0, for which I no longer have the CD (if indeed I ever did - for all I can remember it may have been a download). I did remember to keep the serial number from PS6.0. Unfortunately, the install process, when it doesn't find a copy of PS 6.0 on this (wiped clean) hard drive, does not provide me the opportunity to key my PS 6.0 serial number. All I can do in the dialog I'm presented with is press OK and exit.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the 32 bit version of 9 and installed it on my 64 bit laptop.I went that way as I read the 64 bit doesn't support all features and I know my GIS software doesn't in similar type of installations.
I couldn't find any more about running 32 bit version on 64 bit device so expected it should work okay.EDIT - After installation I was prompted with this fact but it did say no problem with running it that way.Just mention here as others may be confused and wonder which version will work on a 64 bit machine.
But when I got past the installation and onto registering it for an extended 30 days I was blocked with the message CSRF blocked...

after installation i try to activate the product.Following several phone numbers regarding activation at last i get redirected to this site.
Only activation also doesn't work, with a message containing information that the online activation server can not be reached (no error number) i didn't use the product for quite a while. It might be, that it was installed and activated on a machine that doesn't exist anymore.
I have a laptop running LR 3.6 and want to try 4.4 to determine whether the laptop is man enough for the job. It's a Core 2 Duo T6400 2.0Ghz with 4Gb RAM and Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
If I install the trial version of 4.4 how do I make sure it doesn't mess up my 3.6 catologue, so that I can go back to it, if I'm not happy with the trial?
I want to try 4.4 against my full cataloque to make sure that I'm doing a proper performance test.
I am about to purchase a Canon 5D MkII to replace my 6 megapixel D10 which has become very long in the tooth. Given the size of the images the 5D will produce (21 megapixels)and the fact that the CS3 ARC will not recognize the D5 MkII raw files I will need to upgrade from CS3 to CS4.
For CS4 to operate eficiently I need to upgrade my board so the computer will take one of the better recommended video cards. I'll also be upgrading from a Pentium 4 to a current dual processor.
All of this leads to the question - How can I transfer or reload my CS3 (It was an upgrade) to the new system so I can upgrade from it to CS4?
It seems that even when the document was from a 2010 version, if I open it, and save it, it automatically saves it to the 2014 version cad.Is there a setting on Autocad LT 2014 that allows me to automatically save to an earlier version of CAD (2010) instead of the 2014 whenever I hit SAVE.

I exchange cdr files with other workshops around me that they use earlier versions of corel draw like ver 11. Did theirs a way that i can save all cdr files in corel draw X5 in ver 11 with out choosing in every time i save the file version option ?
How do you save down to earlier version? It doesn't let me when I do a save as and click on version I want. Just gives me an error message and shuts autocad down.
I have to save 2011 drawing down to autocad 2004. I sure hope its possible. It always has been with earlier versions.
I am currently using autocad 2002. An engineering firm has sent me a dwg file that was created using a much newer version of autocad. I asked them to save it back to version 2000, so I can open it. Well, I can open the file, but I'm getting this command "ARXERROR: eNotThatKindOfClass.. whenever I do a basic command??
Now I have gotten dwg files from other firms, and they have worked flawlessly. Would it be how this particular firm has saved the file?
I have tried to open a new drawing, and xref this drawing into it, but all the linework does not show up?
Saving edited pictures in PSE 12. Despite ticking the version set box the picture is saved a separate edited print and not in a version set. This has just started to happen, until two days ago prints were saved in a version set quite satisfactorily.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter saving a file as, say, an 8x10 @ 240 resolution, I want to save the image as a 4x5 @72 resolution in a different file that I can give to someone on a CD. However, the new file seems to retain the 240 resolution at a dramatically reduced size so the CD gets a too-small image (and the recipient doesn't have the software to gross it back up to a 4x5).
I assume this has something to do with cache, which I've tried purging generally and also for the individual file. I have CS6 on a Mac Pro with ample disk space and auxiliary drives to store old files, also with plenty of spare space.
I have Revit MEP 2012 and created a small guest house in this program. I wanted to add some features using Revit Architecture 2011that are not available in the MEP program. When I tried to bring the files up in the Revit architecture program I get an error message that the drawing was created in a later version of Revit. Is there any way to save the MEP file back to an earlier version of Revit like one could do with Autocad drawings?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI changed the configuration in Tools/Options/Open and Save/File Save, to save as Autocad2004/LT2004 Drawing (*.dwg). But sometimes automatically the program saves as Autocad2013. It is critical for me because I work with people that still use Autocad2004.
View 6 Replies View Related have two questions:
1: I currently am using AutoCAD 2011 is there any option to back save drawings to 2008? I do not seem to have this choice.Only 2010 or 2007 or 2004.
2: If I upgrade to 2014 or 2013 will I have the option to back save to 2008?
I recently upgradedfrom "Elements 2" to Version 11. I previously saved all my edited work in JPEG format and to the "My Pictures" folder. I was then able to open all modified photos and share them with another computer without resorting to any specialised program. I wish to continue to do the same using Version 11. Having made several attempts without success to save modified photos using my well tried and successful method and having read the Manual to see why the process is not successful with Version 11 I am now exteremely frustrated. Each attempt to save a modified photo results in a Thumbnail icon being loaded into the "My Pictures" folder with the elements 11 logo. I then are only able to open the photo (which incidently does not carry the modified file name from the original) by way of the elements 11 program.

I use a machine called a shopbot to cut wood projects. Students draw the parts in Inventor, place them into a idw and use the save copy feature to save it as a DXF file. The shopbot uses a progam called partworks v2 and it reads DXF files. This worked great for the past few years until this summer when we installed the 2013 inventor on our computers. I contacted Shopbot and they said other people are having the same problem and the solution for most of them was to save the idw file as an older version. Last year we had AutoDesk 2011 and it worked fine. how I can save a 2013 idw as a 2011 idw?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with the files saved from Inventor, regardless of type. I have no problem saving new files or opening files, however, any time I try and save changes to a file, inventor crashes. Also if I try and move a file, windowes explorere gets stuck at "descovering items." Renaming a file crahses explorer.

Python plugins are not installing. They don't show up. Script-Fu works fine though.

Once the file is created in 2012 and when shared to 2010 users they are unable to open, is there any possiblities to open 2012 files 2010 like how we do in Autocad.

I need to revert to GIMP version 2.6. proper BASH commands to do this in an Ubuntu system.
Evidently I am not the "power-user" type for whom the GIMP team designed their 2.8 version. I only have about 20,000 photos, and I need to revise the JPGs or preferably work with PNGs. I tried resetting the keybinding to "overwrite," but even so, every time I close a file (about 25 x/day) it warns me that I have unsaved changes--because the GIMP PolitBuro has decided that only XCF is worthy, not my miserable uncompressed PNG (which is what I can use for my academic presentations. Default image viewers in Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu don't read the XCF format).
So I need to revert to version 2.6 in a responsible way (repositories, dependencies, etc) while I wait for a fork to emerge so that I can switch to a full-featured raster editor designed by a less-condescending team of developers.
I Can't capture web page in gimp 2.8.4 ( windows 7 x64), A blank page is inserted after capture.
