View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to modify a photo of an embroidered patch of my club's logo to make the texture appear simply smooth, not embroidered. Unfortunately, we have lost the original artwork that was used to make the embroidered patch, but we have nice sharp photos of the patch itself. The photos are in both GIF and JPEG format.
I found Ofnuts' reply about how to [undefined=undefined]add texture, but I want to do opposite.
Is there a way to do that? And is it possible to "de-texturize" the entire patch, or would it be necessary to do each color separately?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have the beta installed but I also installed the trial of CS6 on another computer.. Both do the exact same thing with the Adaptive Wide Angle filters. I set a line as straight, mark as vertical (2 lines really) and then process. The lines that are vertical come out wavy... best way to describe it..
I add the 2 control lines to the very outside most windows where the windows meet the brick... This is a closeup of the output... I don't know when straight lines became waveforms.. but they do with this filter!
Re: 2D circle jagged lines, 3D model hidden jagged lines. How do i get smooth lines?
How do i get rid of jagged lines?
Circles and diagonal lines look rubbish when i am in hidden view which i use for simple 3d black / white (i think this is the best way?).
I have tried:
- viewres (1000, 5000, 10000, 20000 sightly better)
- regen
See examples.

I'd like to make the attached line about twice as thick. I have searched for hours how to accomplish this to no avail.
So I am creating this website, and my customer wants a header banner similar to this:
(I don't know if it's clear enough, but there are multiple lines going through the image, with different gradient colors and so on)
Now I can't use this image, since it belongs to another website, but I want to make my own. So, I have no clue about how to make these lines in GIMP. I know GIMP's interface very well (been cropping, coloring for years), but not advanced features like this.
And it's not only the lines, but also the shadowing/coloring in between the lines that I seriously have no clue about how to make.
What is the tool called used for making this? Is there a video tutorial on how to make something similar?
I notice that in every magazine each line of an article has exactly the same length as the the others despite the fact that there is a different number of words in each line. Moreover, spaces between words change from line to line, according to the amount of words in each one, and as a result every single line has the same length as the ones above and beneath it.In GIMP, when you use textedit (ie this ) you cant do what i mentioned above. Every line ends up in different lenght as each word that does not "fit in the box" goes to the line beneath it thus making a text look kinda ugly.
My question is, is there a way to align all the lines in order to make them have the same length? (just like a magazine would look)
how do I make straight lines? Horizontal Lines? Vertical Lines? Curvs? I read many tutorials and i am afraid that I am doing it the wrong way, my way is to drag a guide to where i want the line to be at and trace the guide with the brush tool...

while tracing a plan on Autocad 2010, by accident I clicked on something, or performed some unknown commands. My lines, that were smooth just seconds before, suddenly became really pixelated, as if made of many small segments. And when rendering the plan on pdf, it is still the same, and the lines are really thick. I have checked, the line thickness is on default (0.25mm), but compared to renderings I've done before, this time the drawing has really awful lines.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm making a stylized picture composed wholly of curved lines. I free-handed the curves with my pointer tablet, and then I've been going in with the paintbrush thickening the lines and smoothing edges and whatnot (my tablet makes exceedingly wiggly lines for some reason)... It takes FOREVER going in and trying to make a perfectly smooth line using a 3px brush... (The original image is 3000 x 3450. Great learning experience, but my eyes feel like they're about to fall out of my skull after tracing, re-tracing, and re-re-tracing a 30-pixel area for an hour, lol.) I'm convinced that with the amazing images that come out of Photoshop, they must have a tool that makes creating curves a simple, easy process.
