I was searching for tutorials for making photos look older than they are. but i couldn't find one. If anyone of u know, can u explain me how to.

Now as I go back, they are not loading correctly with my edits, but they were on Lightroom 4. Did something happen during the upgrade? Or is there a way to get them to register my edits?

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow can I make my images HD (high definition) in Gimp? like there are HD TVs I want to make my images have an HD look to it. I know it is possible to convert SD to HD because I've seen old sports games that were played before HD TVs were invented and the game was converted into HD. although it is not the same as if it was originally recorded in HD
whether the image looks like a SD to HD conversion or looks pure HD, it doesn't really matter to me...
how to I make my images look HD?
I have repetitive actions i need to make on images they all constant for example i have :
100 images with size 100X100. what i need to do on each one :
1. scale to 75x75
2. export as png ( with the same name )
3. close the original without saving
I have one picture of my office building and one picture of an airplane . I want to make the airplane fly and crash into the building and explode. If it's possible to make it in GIMP, how can i do it?
More importantly - how is this technique called? jpg animation? I'm new to graphic editing and don't even know how to name certain things or techniques, so i need some keywords for further research.
I'm also have adobe premiere elements, would this application be useful in creating such projects from pure jpg images?
I've downloaded some texture maps of Earth and Mars that consist of a number of JPG images that are all 1024 pixels square. What I want to do, and I've tried and failed so far, is to combine the separate images to make one big map of the planet surfaces. I assume this will be possible by tiling the images.
I've had a google around but can't find any tutorials related to combining sections of a map together.
I am making an image smaller (from 1200 pixels wide to 700), and no matter what I try it always turns out pixelated. I hate it! I just want the size of the image to get smaller without compromising the quality of said image. Here's what I've tried:
- Saving to different formats before resizing (TIF, PNG, etc)
- Changing the X and Y resolution from 150, to 300, even 900 before resizing. It seems to have no effect.
- Changing the interpolation from cubic to the others (the others ones all look worse)
I am at a loss! I am using "image/scale image" to resize, by the way. And the original image was a 1200-wide TIF. I don't see why I'm not able to increase the number of pixels while making the image smaller to maintain the integrity of the original image.
I want to join 2 images together to make a bigger image, the easiest way to explain it is, say 1 image is 10cm x 5cm and the other is 18cm X 7cm and I want to put both together to make a new image 14cm X 10cm. They need resizing too.

Join (NOT merge) them like this;

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have expanded my keywords over several years. There are bird images taken several years ago that lack keywords but when I bring them up now I also have the keywords from that time which are quite inadequate today. Is there a way in which I can apply my current keyword listings to older images, i.e., change the old keyword folder for my current one?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen LR4.x sees an older image it shows me the exclamation mark. OK, yes I will be updating... so the next step is a side by side. I could skip this, but it can be interesting to see where the subtle differeces will be. I know about the backslash key as a way to close the side-by-side. Up to today it always closed the *old* (2010) version and I sailed off into whatever editing was needed.
Today the backslash is always placing me in the older version "Before".as if I chosen "do not update"? ...but I *did* click "Update".My LR4 book (M. Evening). which I generally like, was written before the interface got locked down as there are some inconsistencies even with 4.0, so looking there I find nothing that works on this exact flow of events.
What am I doing "wrong" for the 4.3 interface. Hmmm, I just updated from 4.2 and that's when LR started leaving me in the old process.
But I wouldn't be able to upload a hundred tiny, plain images. I made this to add onto the background removal FAQ. I hope it's accepted.

After editing 100+ images in bridge I save the files as DNG for the magazines I work for, it's only just come to my attention that for them to alter the exposure/contrast they must convert the image to 5.5 which means losing the adjustments I've already made. It's time wasting for both of us.
I tried using the different options under 'compatibility' of saving for camera raw 2.4 and later (4.1, 4.6, 5.4, 6.6) not sure how to use the custom area. I'd consider using the previous version just on these jobs but I'm not even sure how to do that.
I decided to make a lot of GIF files (from a dvd concert). Took all the necessary jpeg screenshots to make my gif files.
Go to PS and I crop each one by one to my specifications. However, after a couple hundred crops my fingers are hurting! I am tired of cropping each jpeg file.
Is there a way to simulataneously select all of my jpeg images and crop them all at once with one swoop? If so, how would I be able to do it?
Then, I can use ImageReady and import those images and create my gif file correct?
I have a question about the transparent background. I want to make the background of the following image(its a part of my image) transparent but when i use the magic stick the teal color is gone also.

I have a 3D scanner where I can scan an solid object, & sometimes reverse engineer the object that I am looking at. 1 function that the old FaceGen used to be able to do is make a 2 dimensional object into a 3D wireframe, but I am not sure if it is able to do robotic faces. I am thinking of doing Transformer-like figures where the faces are a mix of smooth & angular vertices. If I were to plug in some of the flat 2D images that I have, I think that it would give me an ‘error message.’
- My 1st question is I was wondering if you had any CAD software that would be able to take a flat image of a face, & make it into a 3D image
- Or even able to take a pre-existing mesh, & warp it’s values to match a 2D face pattern that I have in mind.
- 1 option that 1 of the older forms of FaceGen was able to do, is to give you variations of a pre-existing face. And I am not talking about taking a 3D mesh & turning it from male to female, race to race, young to old, but different ‘versions’ of that face. 1 thing that they did with a lot of Transformers is that they recycled the same body type, & just repainted the figure to a different paint scheme, & making them into a new character. The Decepticon jets were a good example of that. 1 thing that I am thinking of doing is taking a scan of a pre-existing face, & alternating the facial values to generate different face plates so that each figure has a new face to distinguish them from 1 to the next.
I am trying to use a reference image on a plane in 3ds Max but everything comes out Blurry and pixelated. I have tried the Customize...Preferences... Viewports option but the Configure driver is greyed out. it says ''Nitrous (direct 3d) 11.0 feature level 11 - ATI Radeon HD 5700'' next to Configure Driver.. (greyed out)
What can i do to make reference images not pixelated? and transparency on boxes and polygons is extremely buggy (i can only see 2% through it when alt+x)
