After creating a spinning globe with the filters/animation/spinning globe tool from a planet surface map .jpg image, there is a noticeable seam running longitudinally between the north and south pole. Is there a way to fill-in or disguise the seam?
View 3 RepliesI am currently working on a project and i created a land plot and set each level line to the proper elevation but not all of the level lines appear in every view. In the North view all of the level lines and the walls i have created appear, but the walls don't show up in any of the other views. Also the North, West, and South views show all of the level lines but the East view does not.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a long document with text variable running headers along page edges. Behind each running header on the Master Pages, there is a black band. I want the color black to change to several different fill colors, when the running header changes, to define different "sections."
It's one document, no separate chapters or sections, at this point. See attached image.
Is there a way to tie the fill color of these colored bands to the running header so that it changes when the running header does? I think what I'm looking for is a way to make a variable object style (fill) to be triggered by the running header change. I have no experience writing scripts, but am willing to try. Plan B will be to unlink the master items and manually recolor on each page.

I used a heart fill pattern of the right 75% of the picture and the left 75% of the picture is selected overlapping the first fill in the background... I want to fill the selected background area with a flame fill pattern where it overlaps the selected portion of the heart pattern as well as the transparent area... 'overlay' looks better but Gimp is FAILING to fill the transparent areas, it ONLY fills the overlapped heart pattern portion of the selected content!!! I even tried filling the transparent area with 'white' then filling the selected area, but it STILL ONLY wants to overlay fill the heart pattern, it STILL leaves the rest alone!!! it doesn't matter if the background is white or transparent, it leaves that alone and ONLY fills the heart pattern area of selected portion of the image!!!
is there maybe an error in the XSL?

I have attached an image where I want to remove the white pole, initially I tried content aware but this seems to not be the advised route, more rebuilding the picture.

How would I get text letters to run along a path evenly spaced when the path begins at a fixed point in the middle of the screen?
I've read about:
1) Starting later letters on later frames
2) Incorporating subsequent delay times in the layer names
3) Manipulating the From and To points in the path setup.
I just could not seem to modify the instruction from the "FOLLOW" tut to my situation. See attachments. The jumbled up letters on the first attachment are circled in red.

I am trying to draw an octagonal luminaire arm with a slight taper for a light pole by sweeping along a polyline profile. Sometimes it lets me do it, most of the time it doesn't. I can do a scaled sweep along a straight path and an unscaled sweep along a curved path, but I cannot do a scaled sweep along a curved path.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have made a sheet metal cylinder with a rip. I am trying to create a seam on this rip as is done in [URL] ....... about half way through.
I have tried to go through the same steps, but I can not select the inside of the rip to built hems and flanges on. I also tried to make the cylinder by sketching 350 degrees of the cylinder instead of creating a rip, This had the same problem.
Why I can't select these edges or how I can work around it?
Wanted to ask what the best method would be to smooth the (outer) seam on the attached image. I added the outer band for a bleed and want to blend the seam (or maybe there is a better way to create a bleed on this).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've created a simple loft using a sketched circle and a fixed workpoint. The loft feature is a loft to a point, with a tangent condition set at the workpoint.
I'm looking for a nice smooth 'button' like feature. However, as you'll see in the screenshot there is an annoying 'seam' or 'join line' running from a point on the circular base to the workpoint.
The 'seam' does not display when the loft feature is set to "loft to point" condition.
why this is displayed and am I able to get rid of it?
I'm using Inventor Professional 2012 64 bit
Seam Bleed has stopped working for me with the Rendering > Render Surface Map tools. I haven't had need of it in a few months... so I don't know if this is a result of the last PU I installed (PU5) or some other cause.It isn't working for any bitmap type..
View 8 Replies View RelatedWe're experiencing some artefacts near UV seams on our baked displacement maps. We have a clean, multiple UV-tile model which is subdivided, sculpted etc. Baking uses subdivision method, smooth target mesh and UVs on (we render with prman). Edge bleed is default 2, anti aliasing to x2.
Then test the map out by bringing the target model back in, subdivide up to the corresponding level, and sculpt using maps. The artefacts are not everywhere, just on some UV boundaries in some areas, very strange. The UV boundaries are clean quads, same spacing, good use of UV space. My concern is its in sporadic regions, and not globally over all seams.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've created a complicated polygon (hundreds of nodes) with the Paths Tool and am trying to fill it. When I select the Bucket Fill Tool, I get a tiny little error message at the bottom that reads: "Cannot modify the pixels of layer groups". Now then, I do have a Layer Group in the Layers tab to collect text items, but this is a Path in the Paths tab (which I thought was separate).
I have tried switching the path from Stroke to Selection, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
In the past, I've used Fireworks (mainly), Photoshop, and Illustrator with varying degrees of success.
How do I bucket fill the way Paint does, where it fills every thing of a similar color? (or every thing adjacent, I don't remember.) It keeps filling my entire canvas, instead of the area I want.

This image has been saved as .xcf before closing down Gimp. When I reopen the image, I don't see any way to remove the gradient fill so that I'm just left with the selection.
Ultimately, I want to change the gradient colors .
