Aug 17, 2013I have a regular 4 x 6 picture. I want to crop it and then keep that as a 4 x 6 and print out. I also want to deal with "inches" here.

Oct 2, 2011Is there a way to just splice my image up into 16 512x512 squares? like a tile set (which by the way I'm sure my math is screwed up on that so how many squares I need to cut out a 2048x2048 image for 4 on top and 4 on the sides that'd be great. I suck at math)
I tried copping and stuff but I can't seem to use the tools right. I wrote a lengthy detailed version of this but figured it was too much to read so I am editing/cutting all the details out
Also the resize part. nevermind I got it figured, I just had to resize the image and the canvas follows suit. I didn't know that, thought I had to resize canvas first then image like in photoshop.

Apr 16, 2011When I resize or crop a photo, it would be nice to be able to keep all the original information in the exif tag. Instead the tag appears empty. Is it possible to maintain the original, possibly with additional info indicating post-process?
Or, just the original, indicating camera and lens, aperture and exposure?

Dec 5, 2011I am wanting to display previews (pngs) of the ai files in the plugin that match search criteria on a button. As the user scrolls through the results, change the button picture to be the png for that ai file. I tested it with a default image in case the image doesn't exist. The test image is cropped to the size of the button.
The pngs are necessarily 600x600 pix. (For other applications). I want to resize them for display on the button.
(The button is only 100x100).
Do I need to use Image/Drawer suites?

Aug 4, 2012I am missing a crop tool which can rotate the crop rectangle. Similar to photoshop's tool. I found no way to rotate the crop rectangle in gimp. How do you cut out something from an image if it needs to be rotated while cropping? I tried rotating first then cropping but it does not give me enough precision so I end up with transparent areas at the border.

Jan 3, 2008I want to use the crop tool to edit my image - I want the crop tool to maintain the image dimensions (i.e. 4x6), BUT I don't want the image to be resampled. All I see with the crop tool is that if I want the size to be constrained, it makes me pick a specific size, not an aspect ratio.
For example, if I say 4 inches by 6 inches and crop a very small section of my image, it will crop it, but then resample it and blow it up to a 4 inch by 6 inch photo. I really just want the ratio to be maintained. 4x6.

Sep 16, 2013I have several hundred small portrait photos of different size that I need to resize to a 120 x 120 pixels size. Currently they are not 1:1. I've previously used Picasa to resize images manually, and this gives me the opportunity of easily crop and resize so that the face is not cut or looks too small. But I need to do this in a batch since I have a huge amount of pictures. So far I haven't been able to figure out if Photoshop can detect the face automatically and crop/resize around it. The batch processes I have tried to create end up with the face/head being cut on several pictures.
I'm using Photoshop CC.

But when I view it using Zoom Browser (the program

contains much more. I guess that the picture might
have been cropped using a DC's digital zoom function.
Can I view the orginal image before the cropping using
Photoshop? (Using Zoom Browser, I can only view the
original image in thumbnail mode which is not large
enough).
I am interested in the mechanism of the cropping
