CorelDRAW X6 :: Uninstall / Repair / Modify - Cannot Do Any Of Them
Nov 23, 2012
i was running a trial version of X6 before i purchased - got to a few days left and had a few issues where i was able to run the programme, but had to open it, then press ESC before i could do anything..Now - a few days later, and the trial is now expired - i am unable to do anything - i cant sign up, purchase the software, uninstal, modify or repair it!!
Some weeks ago, I posted about my inability to install SP3 -- (a host of) Error 1310 messages, related to permissions to access certain folders, according to the on-screen messages.
Last night, for the first time, I could not open Draw at all -- there was a pause while the PC tried to open it, then an useful message box that reported that a "problem" had caused Draw to stop working, and that I should close the program.
Trying to open all other X5 suite apps is similarly unsuccessful, though none produces that particular error box.
I tried to repair the installation. No go. More Error 1310 messages.
I tried to reinstall SP2, the last patch that actually worked for me. Error 1310.
I tried to uninstall the suite. Not allowed. Error 1310.
I then tried a series of steps to correct the access errors causing the 1310 messages. I tried unregistering/registering the msiserver; deleting or renaming the "Config.msi" folder to which the errors referred, hoping the newly created folder would not have the issue. I made sure I had administrator privileges (the 1310 error alleges that the user does not have access to the given folders). I did everything I could find online. No effect.
So, at the moment, I can't open, repair, update, or uninstall the Draw X5 suite. Short of wiping the hard drive (I don't have issues when I try to uninstall other apps), is there anything I can do?
I know this is a Windows issue, but with that "A problem has caused Draw to stop working" error message.
how to repair a corel file, what is CARM (corel application recovery manager) how to enable this to option to enable the tick is disable .... does his application works to repair files..
Installation of Office 2010 breaks the RecentFiles macro, so uninstalling it is now necessary. I would have thought that removing recentfiles.gms from Draw's GMS folder would be sufficient. However, this actions leaves a VBA error message when Draw launches:
"Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found".
I'm trying to uninstall X5 to install it again. Because when I try and any of the programs connected to it I get blank screens. I'm completely dumbfounded.. When I click on it to "UNINSTALL" I also get the green bar for about 2 seconds, but the box is completely blank. No buttons or anything.
Please find the attached "Error Message.jpg" file.I am getting that Error Message while trying to Uninstall "CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6" on a Windows XP Desktop Computer. This Computer belongs to other person. I am getting the same Error Message upon trying to Re-Install CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6.How do I successfully Uninstall and Re-Install?
I removed Font Navigator before updating to version 16.4 because it didn't work well you know. But now I want to install it again. My system is 64 bit.
What if I install it from CD, because on CD there is the older not fixed version of FontNav and I don't know what to do next. How can I update it after installing it or I have to remove all Corel programs, reinstall them and update to 16.4?
I am using Coreldraw but in the past I have been able to create the following Macro to do the following
(1) open a file called C:ArtworkC67PSML.cdr (2) change the text in one field from "Recorded in Ireland" to "Recorded in China" (3) remove all guideline fields (4) export the cdr to pdf format and save as new file C:Artwork2C67PSML.pdf
But I would very much like to be able to run the macro on all CDR files in the c:/Artwork folder, how I could amend my code (shown below) to do this ?
Sub Rings() Dim doc1 As Document Set doc1 = OpenDocument("C:ArtworkC67PSML.cdr") Call TextTranslate ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines").Editable = True ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines").Shapes.All.CreateSelection ActiveSelection.Delete ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines").Activate [Code] ......
When I checked my computer for any any unused programs I got see this coreldraw (r) graphics suite x5 installed. When I got to uninstall it showed and error message that some sort of setup.xml is missing. When I checked this programs folder I got to see that there are two corel folders [Corel and Corel (2) ] in my C: drive. After checking all the file locations of different corel applications I deleted the Corel (2) foder. After that also corel was not being uninstalled. I don't want to re-format my computer only for this
I want to do a Repair Installation of PS CS5. Both 32 and 64 bit versions of PS are installed on my Win 7 64bit machine, but the names of neither version appear in the 'Programs & Features' section of the Control Panel. What should I do?
I have a photo of a puppy, where just the top of the head where the hair is, is cut off - out of the camera shot. When using the quick selection tool and placing this image on a new background, the top therefore has a flat line at top. Which is the best feature to try to replace what was cut off in that original photo (shown below) ? Would that be the content aware patch tool? Or would you just use the paintbrush to try to paint it in? With all the subtle colors, that is difficult.
How do I repair or re-load Photoshop CS3 in the Master Collection? The program is acting funny after several shutdowns, the preferences have been reset...and it still is behaving badly.
I usually just un-install and re-install Photoshop occasionally to get rid of hard gremlins...but...I am concerned with Master Collection. I spent weeks trying to install the original package...and the only way I could get it to install sanely was to wipe my disk to a clean windows install and then do the Master Suite First...otherwise the install would fail after an hour of loading in.
I use Adobe Lightroom 4.3 64bit and am having problem with a corrupt catalog. The catalog contains a couple years of exposures with approx 87,000 photographs. I am running LR on Win 7 with quad core CPU and 10Mb RAM. I have used Lightroom for couple years and only problems I had experienced have been intermittent performance issues with LR. The years of photographs are in RAW format with editing in Develop module.
I was using Lightroom 4.3 and it froze the computer while using develop module. I had to power off to reboot and LR catalog was corrupted. I reverted to the LR backup (I back up daily). After importing photographs, LR once again froze the computer during Develop work. And, another backup was corrupted.
I went ahead and upgraded to LR 4.4 in hope that this will improve the situation. I ran chkdsk and other system utilities as well.I need Adobe to repair this corrupt catalog so I don;t keep wasting my time.
I am using Lightroom 3.4.1 and Windows 7. Upon shutting Lightroom down I got a message that Lightroom was unable to backup my catalog until it was repaired. When I reopened Lightroom it gave me the option to repair the catalog. The repair was "successful" and Lightroom opened as usual. However, the history panel of every single picture is blank BUT the pictures did retain my Lightroom changes. How to get that back? I do have a catalog backup but it does not include the work I just finished as I was shutting down Lightroom. I also have all my RAW files as well as their sidecar files.
I received the following message after my computer went into hibernation/sleep mode before finishing to complete an import of images.Once I click on "Show in Finder" I see there is a .lock file as seen here:
I have tried deleting this file (trashing it on my MAC OS 10.8.4) but each time I try to open I get the same message and the .lock file reappears. I did not back-up my catalog so I only have my Lightroom 3 catalog to restore from.
===== The files appear to be unsupported or damaged. (2) DSC01351.ARW DSC01352.ARW =====
Actually there are 41 files with this message. They happened on one day; all other days the files had no problem, so I don't think it is a card error. Every day I back up the card twice before deleting files for the next day. All copies have the error problem for that one day. I'm using a Sony a580. On the day in question, the playback function worked and I could see the photos I had taken.
There is lots of software for recovering deleted files, but that's not the problem. I need to fix damage, and although I wouldn't mind paying, I can't find any programs that give you even a hint that they will work without the money down first.
The model repair tools is apparently new to 2012 version however I cannot see it in my Inventor interface (yes I am using Inventor 2012). Does it should be there or is it an optional add-in (at cost ?). If I should have it I'll get on to the software company and ask them why it's not installed properly !
I changed some feature on a sketch that was working and broke it. When I close the sketch a window shows the problems. A typical message is " Fillet1: Could not build this Fillet". The name "Fillet1" was automatically assigned. by Inventor. The questions is, how do I find Fillet1 in my sketch so I can fix it? I have looked in Parameters and that doesnt tell me.
I'm new to Gimp - I've had it installed on my computer for a while now but haven't tried to use it because it's got so many features it was just - well, intimidating. But now I've started a big scanning project involving a lot of old family photos, and as you can imagine they're not all in good shape. So I have some repairs to do.
The first one I scanned turned out pretty nice, but the second one is challenging me. It dates from about the 1920s and looks kind of sepia-toned but I had to scan it in gray shades because of a kind of moire pattern at the bottom (it's mounted on a piece of thick cardboard which is bowed and I had trouble getting it to lay flat on the scanner bed, so maybe that's why). The black-and-white image that resulted actually looks better than the sepia, but there are a lot of water spots in the upper left corner. Some of them are really large and in many different shades of gray, which is making it almost impossible for me to fix them using the cloning tool. I thought about just copying and pasting from a better section, but all those different gray shades mean that didn't work very well either. I can crop some of them out, but not all, and besides, the cropping changes the composition of the photo, and not in a good way.
Obviously I don't have great skills with this software (although I'm thinking that might be different by the time I get this project finished ). FYI, the version I have is 2.6.11, which is probably old; I could update if necessary. And it's running in Windows XP SP3.
I am working with a goverment agency and we have hired two cosultants to work on a projects. They are using data shortcuts for surfaces, alignments and pipe networks. When they delivered C3D files to us get our reviews, (they burned the dwgs on the CD) all surfaces and alignments are broken.
My question is:
1) How do I repair those broken C3D objects?
2) What should i request the consultants to provide us so that when I open these drawings at my end, the surfaces are not broken.
After several moves of pictures to a new disc (via File, Move within Photoshop Elements Organiser 9) the folder view no longer shows the correct photos. The photos are in the correct locations and the properties also show the correct location. If I select a directory in folder view however, several photos are shown that are not in that directory.
I tried to repair the catalog, but that didn't change the problem.
I am very much missing a facility in the Organiser to move directories, a complete directory tree or just the disk letter of my catalog.
caused by a flood in my location (Bavaria/Germany), I have many damaged photos, which where stored in cellar, which was flooded. The photos are dirty and wet, but they can be cleaned and dehumidified. Many photos have now areas with ruined colors and "fire blizzards" on it. can I prepare damaged photos with Photoshop elements (8, 9 or 11) in that way, that I get back a good picture?
LR3 froze while trying to delete some images. Windows message - LR3 is not responding, Will look for a solution. Close window, I re-downloaded and twice tried to repair, I removed and re-installed. Same result.
I can start LR : but it gives immedidately the screen : unexpected error opening catalog, when I choose 'choose a different catalog' : he aks me to select a recent catalog to open, but this doesn't work en I neither can check the integrity of the catalog. Is there any possibility to do a repair of the program without losing my material from before ? When I search .ircat I can' t find any files.
How to try to retrieve a corrupt lrcat file. My lrcat file AND its backup are BOTH corrupt, and will not open. They are visible. I have an iMac, OS 10.6, LR 3.3, just upgraded to 3.5 today when I started having trouble accessing LR. I've been away for 6 weeks, but the rest of the computer works fine. There have been almost no changes/writes done to the HD since my last LR backup (and idiotic deletion of additional b.u. catalogs that were only a couple of months old. A trial version of Data Rescue II found erased files on my HD from years ago but it does not find those older LR b.u. erased files.)
I am using Windows 7 Pro. Recently I had some slowing down of system and found I had to clean up some Malware. System cleaned up but this error started show up on all trys to open program.
