VideoStudio :: MPEG-4 Media File - Proxy Settings
May 28, 2011Loaded a MPEG-4 Media File 3Gb, went to setting, clicked on Smart Proxy cue manager, waited 40min and clicked ok. I check my Smart proxy file manger and it was there. My power went out, when I reload CV my files in Proxy manager were no longer there, and my file is back to being slow and jerky, that means I have redo this again.
does this mean I have to cue manger every time I wish to work with the same file?
Photoshop :: CS4 - Saving Videos (MP4) And Settings
Jul 3, 2012I loaded an MP4 into Photoshop CS4 and edited some frames. (I'm on a Mac OSX)
Now I need to save the video file. I tried to save the video file as an MP4 and AVI leaving default settings alone. However no matter how I saved the video it looks all pixalated, or save as a much smaller video size and still all pixelated. How do I save an exact copy of my video with the edits I made?

Project target file is on a 500GB WD Blue.
I have ripped a Blue Ray DVD as an .m2t, at an average bit rate of about 18.5 Mb/sec, with a resulting file size of over 16GB. Needles to say this file bogs the machine when not running the proxy. When I finish a session and close the program, the proxy file is gone the next time I open the project. The same thing happens when the machine goes to sleep with the project open. I have to either slog through working directly on the project without the proxy while it slowly rebuilds, or wait a couple of hours for the rebuild to complete.
Any way to stop the file from being deleted? I went to power options and selected never, but the next day it was gone again.
Another thing would be to increase the speed of the proxy creation, as it only uses about 20% of the CPU. Better to get it done faster... I have tried raising the priority of the process to high with little if any change.

Nov 12, 2012I am having problems installing CorelDraw. What happens is, when I try to activate the software, my proxy is blocking the ip that Protexis Licensing Service (PSIService.exe) is using to proxy make the authentication.
It is blocking this address:
TCP 10.50.123.80:65237 69.20.35.129:https SYN_SENT
[PsiService_2.exe]
How can i proceed with this situation? Is there IPs that they can release so the authentication works?

Mar 4, 2013I want to make some tutorial videos and post them to youtube but my initial results are NOT good. If I make a high-res video and then select HD mode on youtube it looks pretty good but then the video stops for prolonged delays. My guess is some sort of background processing going on at youtube.
Will full screen captures and playback on youtube be possible?

Sep 12, 2013I am a Graphic Designer, my clients ask me to provide them all source files as vector format. i work in illustrator but one of my friend teach me about coral draw so now i work on corel draw x4. i use RGB colors mostly and before after completing the design. i export files as jpg, psd or ai. but always the colors got change. i mean i have design a logo in rgb, i have exported file as psd and when i open psd all colors are change. and in coral draw the Rgb colors shows dull like it is CMYK color. last night my coral draw was corrupted i reinstall it and the problem start. but before it was working fine for me. i dnt know one of my friend have installed corel draw x4 in my computer before and it was working fine. when i export as psd and open it photoshop same colors but this problems start from last night when i re install coral draw.

Jun 1, 2011I'm having a problem where my settings are not being saved.
I like to have the font be Arial, 12 Point and centered. When I upgraded to SP3, I had to start Corel X5 while holding the F8 key because it would keep crashing. After this, I set everything up the way I like it, but it's not keeping my setting for font, size and alignment. It keeps reverting back to Arial, 24 point, Left every time I restart Corel X5.
The way I try to save the settings is in a blank document, I change the font to 12 and X artistic and paragraph text, then I change the alignment to center and X artistic and paragraph text. Then I click CTRL-J, Document - check Save options... then click ok. Previously this always worked. Under SP3 it doesn't.
CorelDRAW X5 :: Saving Dimensioning Settings?
Jun 3, 2011Is there anyway to save dimensioning settings, like origin offset, point size, arrow type? When I dimension an object, I have to reset all of these items each time I create a new dimension. I realize that this isn't a CAD program, but why give us this nice tool if you can't save the settings from one dimension to the next?

There are years since I worked in CorelDraw. However, recently I got a project from a client. I have to implement 14 languages translations into a document. The work is, so far, Copy/Paste from MS Word, paragraph by paragraph. I didn't find a better way, yet.
At a point I run into a problem. Inside a Paragraph Text frame the text has a strange leading, or something (See attachment).

Aug 7, 2013X3 - I use X4 at work with no problems but at home I have X3. I set my workspace the way I want it and all my presets the way I want. I hit tools/save stings as default. I then save my workspace as todays date. Close corel and reopen. It starts with the defaults every time! I have to manually choose my workspace and even after doing so my settings have reverted back to default i.e. text to be point not inches like I chose etc.

Oct 11, 2013I use CorelDRAW X4 exclusively (90%) for Laser work. I have a Page saved as Laser Page. It use to open with a 24 x 12 page area and Horizontal and vertical guidelines in place. It is set to "show guidelines."
However, every time I open a new document, the page layout and guidelines are not there. I always have to rebuild the page and add the guidelines. What has changed so that all I get is a blank page anymore? Or how to reestablish my defaults? I have re-saved it as my new default countless times but nothing sticks. It's a pain to have to always reestablish the layout I want to work with..

May 24, 2013I've noticed that DRAW seems to forget whatever settings I choose for duplicate.
So, I found the following in the index:
"Copying objects quickly. You can use other methods to create copies of objects quickly, without using the Clipboard. You can use the plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad to place a copy of an object on top of the original object, or you can create copies instantly by pressing the Space bar or right-clicking while dragging an object."
The + sign thing is cool. Wish I had known. But the Space bar drag either doesn't work at all or puts down one copy at what is apparently a set distance from the original, and then a second copy wherever I release the mouse button. ? Win7, DRAW X6.

Sep 10, 2013I just got a new system installed corel draw fresh, loaded all my gms's , imported workspace , great all work as before all my menus are nice and active...,
However my custom gradients have disappeared..., it took me a while to set up certain gradients and I removed lots of the useless default ones that were there preset in the previously installed corel draw.
I accessed my old hard drive and found the gradient preset file however when I copied and replaced with the old gradient file the gradient data is not there....
