I want to make some tutorial videos and post them to youtube but my initial results are NOT good. If I make a high-res video and then select HD mode on youtube it looks pretty good but then the video stops for prolonged delays. My guess is some sort of background processing going on at youtube.
Will full screen captures and playback on youtube be possible?
In my picture, I want to use it in a Youtube video. What size is required for it to fit the screen? Also, I want to make one of my layers gradually move, is that not possible in Gimp?

Camtasia can produce a wide variety of formats but which one works best with Corel?
I do have a sample that I finally got to work and it's at [URL] ..... but that was created with powerpoint and video recorded with Jing (produced by the same people that make Camtasia Studio, only free).
I tried to make a swf but the resulting file requires the preloader for an "index" page that is written in html by Camtasia.
I'm using Corel videostudio Ultimate X6 and regularly record live bands, upload them to youtube after I convert them to a MP4 format using videostudio. A few months ago one of the venues installed a set of quick flashing lights, now my videos look blocky and you can't even make out their faces.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a video clip from FRAPS movies for uploading on YouTube. There seems to be absolutely no way to encode the video in HD. Either the encoding is extremely slow ans hangs at 4% without any further progress, I end up with a 2.5Gb file or I have to give up on HD and encode in 480p. Each and every format I try blocks the resolution at 720p or makes all options grayed out, not allowing, e.g., to change resolution, compression settings, etc. All MPEG profiles lead to 480p. All HDV profiles are super slow and/or result in 2.5Gb files. The QuickTime profile I tried would not compress the audio at all.
So it seems I have to produce a huge file with VideoStudio and process it with another encoder, which is just a painful nonsense that will degrade the quality of my output! I also tried the YouTube output, seemed to work, but trimmed down my video to 15 minutes. BUT WHY??? YouTube CAN accept videos longer than 15 minutes! Moreover, after all these futile attempts, the program crashes or hangs on me! I just don't know what to do next.

I am recording a series of video tutorials for the audio production software FL Studio. I have duplicated the problem in two version of FL Studio, FL Studio 8 & FL Studio 9. I start a screen capture and everything is recording fine. Part of my tutorial includes selecting a menu item in FL Studio. After my recording is finished I am noticing that the menu (dropdown) is not displayed in the screen capture. I can see the mousing clicking the menu items but the menu is not displaying. All other aspects of screen capture are working perfect.
I am using Corel Video Studio X5. No updates to the program have been made, the computer I am using it on was only connected to the internet during activation.
I am a new user of X4 and have used X2 for only about six months so some of my questions may seem lame, but here they are.
First, I upgraded to X4 to get rid of that annoying AVCHD blip problem (it worked). But, I have become increasingly frustrated that the quality of my DVDs are still fairly poor to my mind. I have been taking HD videos of my daughter playing soccer and the videos look good on my computer (in clip mode, anyway, as opposed to project mode, which probably takes more processing power than I have). However, they don't look that good to me when I watch DVDs I have created.
The camcorder is a Sony HDR – CX150 and its native MTS files are 1440x1080. After some reading, I discovered that standard DVD conversion plummets the resolution to 720x480, or 480p. So, perhaps that is part of the answer for why a standard DVD format of the soccer game doesn't look so nice on a 37" 720P or 1080i LCD Vizio TV? The 720x480 picture is being stretched to fit? OK, but why does motion look so bad? The image is decent when people are standing still, but I see a lot of blur and, sometimes, streaking when the camera pans or people start to run. What can I do about that?
I tried upping the bitrate for the DVD MPEG settings (from 6800 to 9800), but that did not work. I thought perhaps I could try making an AVCHD DVD using the 1920x1080 resolution and play it on my Blu-ray player (a Samsung BD-P1590) to see if that might look good. It didn't. In fact, it seemed to be the same or even slightly worse.
So, how do I get the good quality videos I am taking to translate to the TV screen? I have tried two different DVD players and TVs as well as my laptop.
I would like to know if I can make screen capture videos with VP3 like you can with camtasia or one of those. I'm ready to download camtasia but I wanted to check here first.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI use CorelDRAW for flight training material graphics. I've started on a video project, using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD.
The project will be rendered as 720x486. how to setup my page and export graphics I make for this DVD for best quality? I have been exporting as PNG, which I think is best type, at 600dpi. But, I think I made my page too small and maybe some quality is being lost in the render? The graphics look blurry on the video now.
Can I run Video Studio Pro X4 at other than full screen? While working on a project, full screen is fine. But, once I start rendering I'd like to have my PC back and do other things and have VSP render in the background. I opened the preferences dialog, could find nothing relevant. Doesn't appear to be the normal windows shrink button in the upper-right, only minimize which takes VSP totally off screen.
Running Win XP SP3.
With CS I was able to press F+TAB to get a blackbackground screen for viewing my work ,why can't I do this with CS2 or is there another combination for CS2?

-Premise: I like working in full screen mode. I see only my composition, and access all of Photoshop's functionality with hotkeys.
It used to be that, in Full Screen mode, one could press alt+f to access the file menu, or any other menu using the correct letter. Is there anyway to get the same results in Photoshop without leaving full screen? What happened to alt+'space' to access the common Windows Application menu for things like Minimize, Maximize, Move, Close, etc? I see that I can click on the PS icon at the top right, but this is not the same: consider those of us who use multiple monitors, sometimes the application closes on one monitor and then is re-opened when that monitor is no longer present. In cases like these, the application is stuck on a non-existent monitor with no way to use it. Alt+'space' used to be the solution for this.
I download avi files and then edit them in Videostudio X4. THe avi's are always from different resolutions and framerate.
When i play the converted or edited avi files on my mediaplayer on a Widescreen tv then the video is played may time not full screen. Sometimes it is on top and sides filled with black borders.
I would like the video's always be full screen on tv (off course with good quality).
My question is: how can i see in Videostudio if the video can be played full screen on tv?
Let's say i have 2 video's: divx / xvid 576 x 320 at 25.000 fpsec and 512 x 384 at 188.900 at 25.000 frames per second. Would these files be played full screen on the tv?. How can i calculate that it is 4:3 or 16:9 and what must the preference be in Video studio itself: 16:9 or 4:3?
I have made a movie and its 2 hours long,i knew trying to save this to a 4.7 gb dvd I would lose a little quality, well I'm impressed with the results, but for some reason the finish movie isn't full screen, now I know its saved at 4:3 not 16:9, and with 4:3 I expected to have space on both side of the screen when watching it on a TV or computer . But I also have quite a bit of space on the bottom and top as well. Here the properties of my project.

While playing DVD, made in Ulead Video, the slide show would display in full screen on any TV (for example a horizontal picture would be displayed in full screen and vertical picture would be displayed from top to bottom exposing some black background on the sides which is OK). Now I am using Video Studio Pro X3 and after I create a DVD there is a black background around each photo during playback. In other words, each photo seems to be slightly reduced in size or there is a black border around it during playback of DVD.

When I do, it does not appear. If I leave it as vector it does, but I cannot get the option to outline object or use the print/cut setttings. I seem to be missing some steps.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI usually use photoshop (cs6) in full screen mode with menu bar. Often I use the window+d shortcut to return to the desktop. From here, whatever window I open, ie my browser, explorer, etc, photoshop pops up in the background minus all the menu bars. This is very annoying because it means I cannot work with files on my desktop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently ran into an issue where Photoshop was freezing (URL ..... - my issue starts at reply #4) and in order to solve it, I had to open Photoshop by pressing CTRL + ALT + SHIFT, which deletes all preferences. Now that I can open Photoshop, I can't toggle into the different screen modes. The F key doesn't do anything anymore and the options on the toolbar are disabled. I can only choose Standard Screen mode.
What's wrong and how can I fix this so I can work in full-screen mode again? I am on a MacBook Pro using the latest version of Photoshop CS6 from Creative Cloud.
