CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Text Defaulting To Arial After Backspacing?

Nov 7, 2012

we have just upgraded our 5 man shop to X6.This is happening on all of our setups.

when we are selecting a row of text to edit. if you start typing while the old text is highlighted it will keep the current font and color.

if you select that row and hit backspace to delete a few letters until the text line is empty and begin typing it will default to Arial and make the color black.

CorelDRAW X6 :: Dimension Number Are Blue

Sep 2, 2013

It is likely that I don't use dimensioning often enough to get familiar but I think X6 is harder to use than previous versions. I do like being able to pick various arrowhead styles or tickmarks. Still trying to figure out why dimension numbers are blue and how to change that back to black and resize.

AutoCad 2D :: Move Radial Dimension Text Away From Lines

Mar 5, 2013

Im trying to move radial dimension text away from the dimension line so I can add in text between the dimension and dimension line.

#1 is the default style
#2 is what happens when I do "Move text only", it moves the dimension line to inside the radial and I do not want that.
#3 is how it looks when I just manually edit the dimension text
#4 is how I want it to look

#4 is a combination of dimension and a manually added leader with the dimension line removed. How can I move the dimension text on a radial without the dimension line automatically moving to the inside? Or is there another way to add in text outside the box while having the dimension text offset from the line?

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Linking Dimension Lines To Object On Another Layer

Sep 3, 2013

We like to put our dimension lines in CorelDraw 5 on separate layers from the objects being dimensioned.  This way we can turn the dimensions ON/OFF depending on our needs.  Unfortunately, we find that the dimensions for these objects do not move with the objects on the other layer.  We have also found that certain edit operations seem to break the link between the objects on one layer and their dimensions on another layer.

How we can maintain our dimension lines on one layer, the objects on another, and prevent the problems described above?

AutoCAD 2013 :: Dimension Offset - Text Outside Of Extension Lines

Jul 31, 2013

When placing a dimension with the text outside of the extension lines, it defaults to placing the text either above right or below left of the arrows. If you try to grip/drag the text to another location (i.e. below right or above left) it won't allow it. I don't know if it is following some standard, but in the example shown, I had to explode the dimension to position the text in the preferred location.

AutoCAD .NET :: Assign Colors To Dimension Lines / Arrowheads / Text

Jul 22, 2013

I just created a dimension style called "Test" and I am now attempting to use its DIMCLRD and DIMCLRT properties without success.

DIMCLRD is supposed to assign a color to dimension lines and arrowheads. How to use this property to assign, say, color index 140?

AS well, DIMCLRT is supposed to assign a color to dimension text. A code snippet on what I am attempting to accomplish is posted below:

Dim tblRec As DimStyleTableRecord = New DimStyleTableRecord()

tblRec.Name = "Test"
tblRec.Dimasz = 0.08    ' Sets the arrowhead size
tblRec.Dimclrd = ???     ' Here is where I am attempting to assign a color to dimension lines on this dimstyle
tblRec.Dimclrd = ???     ' Here is where I am attempting to assign a color to dimension text on this dimstyle

CorelDRAW X5 :: Imported Text Highlights In Blue And Adds Odd Characters

Apr 29, 2013

I have attached two jpg's so you can see what I mean.

I have been importing this text for a long time and ever since X5 it is doing odd things. When I select the text to edit it, it highlights all of the text area in a light blue color. Usually I can get one edit done, if I try and select any other part again, Corel crashes and I have to re-open my program. As you can see what I have to edit is these strange characters that show up where the apostrophe's are supposed to be.

I've been in touch with the makers of the program I am importing FROM and they have no idea why I'd be having trouble with their text. They say all they use is Aerial.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Turn Dimension Text / Graphics Into Lines And Curves

Oct 29, 2012

I have a rather weird problem. I am using .dxf files as digital overlays on a new optical comparator we recently purchased. The problem is, the cad files we used to create our old mylar overlays is both 3d and comprised of text/curves/dimensions. I figured out the flattening and turning the text into lines and curves, but I cannot find a method to change the dimension graphics (profile boxes, length dimensions, and angle dimensions) into lines and curves.

When I import them into the comparator program only the lines and curves can be displayed on the comparator. Is there any way to flatten and make all of the dimension graphics lines and curves?

On computer monitor it was only showing clear text in Enhanced view mode. When I changed view mode to Wireframe, then these lines shows on screen also. I only have text on this file, no background or any other object. I tried to change the font to other font types including Tru Type fonts also, but problem remained same.

I need to resize each photo down to approx 350kb for the Internet. I'm using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2. I've run various process's like smart photo fix, sharpen, then improved the saturation and then re sized at 75% "weighted average". When I view the photo on the Internet the blue sky seems to be in lines. How I can stop this and get an even blue colour.
