CorelDRAW X6 :: Create Formulas Similar To Excel Using Macros?
Jun 5, 2013
I have a form I'm creating in CorelDraw and I would like to be able to input numbers and have a table that performs calculations similar to what Excel does. Â It's basically going to add up prices and then calculate tax.
I found Oberon Fit Objects To Path as a very interesting macro and i tried to download it.I have downloaded the zip file from Oberon website , but an Error showed up on my screen saying:Â "Unable to find CorelDraw x5 installation"...
I know the reason for this is because of the x5 version, which i don't have in my system. But i have also downloaded some other macros that are x4 or x5 versions and they are working excellent on my CorelDraw x6.
Any other macros similar to the "oberon Fit Objects To Path" macro?
I want to create a line that looks like a set of railroad tracks - two rails and ties - or a single track with ties half as long as the 2 rail tracks would be.
I want to be able to use it the same as the lines that are installed with CDR 12 - scalable, editable points, curving, extend the length by pulling an end point, set point size , etc.
Basically anything I can do to and with an installed line, I want to do with my custom one.
I am just writing my math book on Corel Draw and unfortunately I could not import correctly all the information from Word, this because all those formulas which I have done in Word using the equation editor could not be transferred to Corel Draw. "How can I transfer all the math formulas written in Word to Corel Draw?"
I've deleted my test macro from my .CDR file via Tools -> Visual Basic... But after closing Corel and opening that file again, it says that it "contains macros"
How to create macros of a drawing and then hw can we change the drawing by editing the macro. E.g.. I have drawn a circle of 30 mm dia.. than need to crate macros for same and then by changing the dia of circle in macros I want to create new circle of 50 mm dia.
Another thing I wanted to ask is what is difference between visual lisp and visual basic. Which is easier??
macros are all disabled and i remembered there is a command to disable all the events but i could not figure out where exactly it is located and even i tried to reinstall the using modiy and repair twice times to install the software but still persists to activate the macros.
all the macros are grayed out and even Alt F11 also not working.
Assigning shortcuts to macros? I did some but now the option to select macros has completely disappeared.
Correction - all my macros have disappeared. The macro manager is showing up empty. It's as if X6 can't see any macros at all. Delay Load is unchecked.
Just noticed the file name window is named "trial expired" - yet I can open a file.
I am trying to switch from X3 to X5, I moved my macros to the X5 GMS folder but the macros don't show up under "Macros" in the customization dialog. I can do Menu>Tools>Macros>Run Macro... and run a macro like that but I would like t be able to assign shortcut keys to the macros and create tool bars, but so far no luck with that.
I installed the X5 suite and updates, set up my macros, and everything was working fine. When I restarted Coreldraw, all my macros were disabled? I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled, and the same thing happened again. Everything works fine in X4.
I have created a macro to change the Country of Origin text in a cd label file and I also have created a macro to remove some guide rings in the same label file but I am unable to combine the 2 macros into one macro I can run on the cd label file. The code for each macro is as below.
Sub Rings()   ' Recorded 27/04/2012   ActivePage.GuidesLayer.Visible = True   ActivePage.GuidesLayer.Visible = False   ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines_2").Visible = True   ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines_2").Visible = False   ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines").Visible = False   ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines").Visible = True   ActiveLayer.Visible = False   ActiveLayer.Visible = True   ActivePage.Layers("Graphic Elements").Visible = False   ActivePage.Layers("Graphic Elements").Visible = True   ActivePage.Layers("Guidelines").Visible = FalseEnd Sub
'TextReplacePublic Function FindReplace(ByVal str As String, ByVal toFind As String, ByVal toReplace As String) As String   Dim i As Integer   For i = 1 To Len(str)       If Mid(str, i, Len(toFind)) = toFind Then  ' does the string match?           FindReplace = FindReplace & toReplace              ' add the new replacement to the final result           i = i + (Len(toFind) - 1)              ' move to the character after the toFind       Else           FindReplace = FindReplace & Mid(str, i, 1)       ' add a character       End If   Next iEnd Function
Public Sub TextTranslate()   Dim s As Shape   ActiveDocument.BeginCommandGroup "Text Translate"   For Each s In ActiveDocument.ActivePage.Shapes       If s.Type = cdrTextShape Then           s.Text.Story = FindReplace(s.Text.Story, "Recorded in Ireland", "Recorded in China")           s.Text.Story = FindReplace(s.Text.Story, "Printed in Ireland", "Printed in China")       End If   Next s   ActiveDocument.EndCommandGroupEnd Sub
how I could (1) join the 2 macros above or (2) create a batch macro for each macro above I could run to update all coreldraw cd label files in a folder.
I work for graphics company who uses Corel heavily for all of our graphics work. We have custom built macros that were made to save our art into our database to then be accessed through Microsoft Access.
We've had these Macros running for many years and have never had any issues. Due to a mail server crash we moved to Office 365; a cloud based mail server. We then started updating our machines to Office 2010 to be able to use our new cloud based email locally.Â
The issue is once we upgraded to MS Office 2010 our macro stopped working and we cannot see where the issue is being caused. The weird thing is it's on both XP and Win7 machines.Â
We've uninstalled and re-installed Corel with no luck. I've changed permissions in Win7 and it has done nothing.
I'm wanting to cut a shape out of a rectangle from a macro. Â I need to do this on hundreds of files. Â I tried to do the following while recording a macro:
Select all shapes Run Arrange->Shaping->Back Minus Front
However, this just results in this comment being recorded: "Recording of this command is not supported: ShapingCommand"
How to call the shaping commands from VBA? Â I've dug through offline and online documentation and have come up with nothing.
Still on the basics, here's a demo video that includes adding a macro form and sizing of some selected shapes. I had fun doing this one but it's hard trying to squeeze everything into a short video (to keep video file size low).
How to compare two similar solid model and found where its differetiate is, and how to compare two similar drawing let say rev.1 to rev.2 and found where its differentiate is?
Find out an option in coreldraw x6 which exactly similar to adobe illustrator cs4 as below
storke / align stroke / align stroke to center / align stroke to inside / align stroke to outside

how can i create a attached rectangular sticker 150mm with x 40mm height with outline 2mm width and that outline width did not go out dimension of 150mm x 40mm
I want to create a space style similar to BOMA with editable boundaries to use for LEED Daylighting calculations. I figured out how to make a new property set definitions, new space style, etc., but I can't get the boundaries to read as the LEED boundaries. I want the Base area to remain as is, but I want NET to be Daylit, Useable to be Sidelit, and Gross to be Toplit.
I could do the workaround and just use the OOTB BOMA style, but then others editing will have to constantly translate which means what as we edit the drawings. When you look at the display display Properties for the space style, the boundaries and hatches read as net, useable, etc. I can't figure out where to redefine those and when you right click the space and Edit Boundary, I need to be able to display the correct properties, not the BOMA properties.
it's possible to create a barrel vault skylight that would work similar to a curtain wall (i.e. stretch the skylight and it adjusts to a fixed size and adds mullions)?
I'm having trouble finding this functionality. Is there a way to type say 3+1 into a parameter, like lengthSegs and it result in 4? Or type 1.2* in something like scale X and have it result in 1.2 times whatever the parameter value was?
I've made an stairs assembly that contains adaptive parts that are all controlled by the assembly parameters.
Here is my assembly and the controlling parameters. The stringers on the side are made with the frame generator and use the "extend" feature to get the appropriate length, as driven by the parameters. The reason I used frame generator is so that I can easily change sizes of the stringers down the road, if needed. Â I chose to make the parts associative so I could control all of the parameters from within the assembly instead of opening each part separately.
My goal now is to be able to use this assembly (or something similar) as a template to create new sets of stairs, all to be placed in the same main assembly.
I attempted to duplicate all of the parts (append a "2" at the end of each file name and replace components in the new set of stairs with the 2nd version) but ran into problems with the two stringers. I can't figure out what to do to get the Frame00001 and Skeleton00001 to reassociate to Frame00002 and Skeleton00002. So any time I change my slope, the original stairs will end up trying to copy the new stringers instead of keeping the old ones.
how can I make this assembly reference a new frame, and secondly?
I am trying to create an attribute that displays the product of an Area of an object in the block and the value of a different attribute. For instance, here is what makes up the dynamic block:
1 rectangle (with width and height parameters and stretch actions) 1 Attribute called "ForcePerSQIN" - the value of this is entered separately for every instance of the block by the user 1 Attribute called "Total Force"
In the "Total Force" attribute, I want to create a field that contains a formula to multiply the area of the rectangle (which I am able to obtain with no problems using the Area property of the rectangle object type) by the value of the "ForcePerSQIN" attribute, which is user-defined. The problem I have is that it appears as if the value of this attribute is treated as text and thus cannot be used in the calculation; I get ######.
Is there a way to make the "ForcePerSQIN" parameter treat the user-defined value as a number instead of text so that it can be used in the calculation? Or is there a better way to accomplish my ultimate goal?
I was wondering if there was a way to make conditional formulas with a parameter? So I want a parameter called system. On the pulldown to enter the field under properties.   I want there to be 3 choices (i.e. 1=Air, 2=Water, 3=Gas).  If the user tries to enter any value other than the 3 values specified (whether by typing or pulldown), a message comes up stating they cant do that. The names for the systems have been simplifed for this example but the spelling is critical to the external database. I have tried but but I keep getting the follwoing is not a valid family parameter: X. X because thats the first conditional value.Â
Is it possible to create a gradient similar to radial gradient, except that the shape is other than circular? This image would be the starting point, but I would like the white part fading to black to be another shape (say, a rectangle, a banana, etc.).
