Corel x5. When I copy text from an email or word document to a Corel file I need it to keep the same Font, Size & Color.of my Corel file template. But when I paste it, it keeps the Emails or Word Documents Font, Size & Color instead. I think I clicked on the wrong thing when I first installed Corel. I cannot locate my Corel disc to reinstall it.

When I copy properties from one paragraph frame to another, only font and its size is copied, not paragraph settings (spacing before/after paragraph, bullets, indentation etc.). I never had problems with this - it started a couple of days ago (the update??).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a LONG time Corel user -- back to version 4. Have been using X3 for years. Bought X5 but liked X3 better so I kept using it. (Basically only used X5 to import customer Illustrator files and PDFs that wouldn't import correctly into X3.)
Got new computer with Windows 7 and decided to upgrade to X6 64 bit. Overall it's been fine. Only using for a few days.
One thing I do are custom estimates for my clients. I keep several "stock" paragraphs of content on the desktop so I can copy and paste these into the estimate. Typically I just open an old estimate, rename it, and start the new estimate.
Opened X3 estimate in X6 and renamed it. Having some strange behaviors. The file was way too big. Should have been a couple hundred k and it was more than 4mb. Crashed several times. When I would add a page and copy content from a previous page, it would make the desktop grid printable, and I couldn't turn it off. Crashed some more.
Decided to start with a new X6 document. Copied pieces from the X3 file to make a new estimate template. File size now looks correct at a couple hundred k. Everything working fine except when I try to copy text from a paragraph box on the desktop INTO a paragraph box on the page it crashes. Not every time, but often.
I have encountered a bug that when I copy text located at the desktop area. X6 (32/64bit) will crash. if I forget this bug during my work! I need to drag the contact back to the work sheet before I copy.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've a problem to open an old X4-Coreldraw file. The first time I can open it - when I want to save this file CDraw says that the file will be changed to the X6 Version. I say OK and save the file. The 2nd time I'll try to open the X6 file again then the Error occurs! I changed my settings in CDraw to a local dir c: emp, also to a new drive - but nothing happens! All the drives have mor than 400 GB free space! I hope this will be enough.
View 14 Replies View Relatedtrying to copy txt from an outside text editor and pasting them into an open, editable text layer in my workspace. The problem is that I can COPY the text fine, but when I click over to PS to paste it into the open editable text layer it either pastes the previous text from my clipboard OR it won't paste anything at all. I can then go into any other text field on a browser, spreadsheet document, a different text editor, notepad, etc and successfully paste the proper batch of text I wanted to paste into PS. Sometimes I have some rather large files open 50+megs when I notice this happen. I have to save my work and close out entirely of PS and then open it again before I can begin editing my original document again and successfully paste the text into the open editable text layer. This may last for a few COPY/PASTE sessions of additional text in additional text layers, but then begins displaying the symptoms I described above.
I am on Win7 on an AlienWare M17XR3 laptop with 16G RAM and AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series display adapter.I assume it's either in my PS performance settings which I have PS using 10413MB RAM and has over 350G scratch disk space. If it's not that I guess my laptop system performance settings which I've never tinkered with since I purchased it.
I paste Arabic font (a sentence in Arabic in Word for example) onto a text layer in photoshop, it compleatley switches the direction of the text and the sentence doesn't read as it was in word. This leads to us going through a very complicated process of saving it as a pdf and then importing as a vector.
Does anyone know how we just import Arabic text from another document so that PHotoshop (using CS3) renders it the right way around (words and individual 'letters')
I´m trying to extract text from a Corel file to a TXT file in another editor and then merge it back in.Extracting the text seems to be working just fine but when I´m trying to merge it back in I get the error message "Wrong file format or could not open".
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to copy some designs made on Corel DRAW to Photoshop and it copies them in very low resolution. Never mind I change the resolution of the document in : Tools -> Options -> Document - PageSize -> Resolution
Only solution I have found to far, is to over-scale the design before copying it, but that neither comfortable, as then the page-size in no longer applicable, the designs mess between pages as part of the design falls outside the page, or I need to resize also the page size what creates inconveniences for printing
Is it possible to increase the resolution at which objects are copied from Corel Draw ?
When I'm trying to select files to load through CorelDraw X4's File command, it makes automatic copies of the files I've selected if I hold down the CTL key too long (maybe 5 seconds). This is extremely annoying.
Is there a way I can turn off this features? I've tried to find an option that controls this, but can't.

My plan was to copy the first two layers into the new file, turn off the second layer, turn on the third layer, and then copy it, along with the top layer still turned on, into the same new file. I want to repeat this process until all layers have been copied. I just cannot seem to find out how to do this without a tremendous amount of extra work. I am able to remove the text, move things around on the pdf image using Corel Draw, but I want to edit the actual customised text to name it differently, in the exact same style as previously used by the designer.
E.g. it currently says "Green Tea", but I want it to say "Coffee".
