Im trying to create a spoof of an image but I cant get the style of the text right. You know how when people take say, the snickers logo but replace the word "snickers" with something else.

I want to have uniformity in all my floor plans. I know of the alternative of having all the floor plans in one single file. But I don't want it that way.

View 8 Replies View Relatedtrying to copy txt from an outside text editor and pasting them into an open, editable text layer in my workspace. The problem is that I can COPY the text fine, but when I click over to PS to paste it into the open editable text layer it either pastes the previous text from my clipboard OR it won't paste anything at all. I can then go into any other text field on a browser, spreadsheet document, a different text editor, notepad, etc and successfully paste the proper batch of text I wanted to paste into PS. Sometimes I have some rather large files open 50+megs when I notice this happen. I have to save my work and close out entirely of PS and then open it again before I can begin editing my original document again and successfully paste the text into the open editable text layer. This may last for a few COPY/PASTE sessions of additional text in additional text layers, but then begins displaying the symptoms I described above.
I am on Win7 on an AlienWare M17XR3 laptop with 16G RAM and AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series display adapter.I assume it's either in my PS performance settings which I have PS using 10413MB RAM and has over 350G scratch disk space. If it's not that I guess my laptop system performance settings which I've never tinkered with since I purchased it.
How can I copy a profile view style from one drawing to another? I can't seem to locate the ones I created in toolspace to be able to drag them from one drawing to another.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI paste Arabic font (a sentence in Arabic in Word for example) onto a text layer in photoshop, it compleatley switches the direction of the text and the sentence doesn't read as it was in word. This leads to us going through a very complicated process of saving it as a pdf and then importing as a vector.
Does anyone know how we just import Arabic text from another document so that PHotoshop (using CS3) renders it the right way around (words and individual 'letters')
I am looking for a way to change the text style used by a table style with Visual LISP. So far I have been able to get the IAcadTableStyle object from the acad_tablestyle dictionary, but there is no property for text style. Is this even possible? Code and results are below.

I've seen the question mark before but all I needed to do in the past was select that little button and change it.
Corel x5. When I copy text from an email or word document to a Corel file I need it to keep the same Font, Size & Color.of my Corel file template. But when I paste it, it keeps the Emails or Word Documents Font, Size & Color instead. I think I clicked on the wrong thing when I first installed Corel. I cannot locate my Corel disc to reinstall it.

So far, i've been using cloning. But if there is a great deal of letters, cloning becomes tedious pretty soon.
Just wondering if there exists some more elegant trick to do this job.
Basically, I'm trying to extract the text from the attachment showing below so that I can transfer it somewhere else. I seem to be getting stuck on the "Path from Text" part, I'm using it, but nothing happens. View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm a LONG time Corel user -- back to version 4. Have been using X3 for years. Bought X5 but liked X3 better so I kept using it. (Basically only used X5 to import customer Illustrator files and PDFs that wouldn't import correctly into X3.)
Got new computer with Windows 7 and decided to upgrade to X6 64 bit. Overall it's been fine. Only using for a few days.
One thing I do are custom estimates for my clients. I keep several "stock" paragraphs of content on the desktop so I can copy and paste these into the estimate. Typically I just open an old estimate, rename it, and start the new estimate.
Opened X3 estimate in X6 and renamed it. Having some strange behaviors. The file was way too big. Should have been a couple hundred k and it was more than 4mb. Crashed several times. When I would add a page and copy content from a previous page, it would make the desktop grid printable, and I couldn't turn it off. Crashed some more.
Decided to start with a new X6 document. Copied pieces from the X3 file to make a new estimate template. File size now looks correct at a couple hundred k. Everything working fine except when I try to copy text from a paragraph box on the desktop INTO a paragraph box on the page it crashes. Not every time, but often.
I must have hit a hotkey or something because now when I drag select vector and text and copy paste inside the same document it only pastes unformated text back without any vector.
When I use create outlines on the text it copies fine but if Im just copying everythign together or only the text object I get unformated text back.
For labels, is the font decided in the general tab under text style or in the text component editor under the format tab? Are there overrides? There seems to be multiple locations for fonts choices when creating a label and I can't find a nice black and white answer.

I like using the edit label text in the lable styles to add additional text and information.
I can turn on / off the backroung mask for all the style but not each.
Is there a way to turn on / off the backround mask of each layout text.
I'm using civil 3d 2012 and testing 2013.
I have inside every text,Mtext contents different text style like Arial_1 , Arial_2.
How i can give all the contents inside one style ? the normal procedure i will enter inside text to enter editing mode and changing text format style one by one. I want it once.
I want to save my routing of entering every text to change its content text style.
(Notice:select all from outside without editing mode will not do the job)
I wonder if it is possible to create a new text style where one can set the text to be already rotated.
I know that it is possible to rotate text in many ways but the styles always seem to be set on the horizontal to begin with.

I have encountered a bug that when I copy text located at the desktop area. X6 (32/64bit) will crash. if I forget this bug during my work! I need to drag the contact back to the work sheet before I copy.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am new to VBA for Autocad and have basic knowledge of Autocad, but have experience with VBA with EXCEL. I am trying to search for text written on to a drawing that has been written as plain text. There is no table. I am writing code to open each drawing in the file as a for each next loop and then find text, then copy text to a table cell, in a table set up within the loop statement. Then I intend to transfer the data to Excel. When I copy the text into the cells of the table and transfer to Excel, the text does not transfer. Is there something I need to do to re-format the text copied straight from the drawing into the table cell. The drawngs have been produced by some external drafting service provider, most likely in India. The functionality of Autocad has not been used and therefore, there are no tables. The text titles, sub-titles etc... are just basically text with lines drawn around them, to simulate a table that looks like a table but are infact not.
My main problem is copying the plain text (titles, sub-titles, references etc...) into a table cell for export to Excel. Any knowledge of copying Autocad plain text to Autocad table cells
I am in AutoCAD LT 2008. Within the last few months I have noticed that some of my text is changing from a regular font style to bold when being copied/pasted, moving, and/or stretching. This is also happening with the text in my dimension style. When I check properties, nothing has changed from one text's set of properties to the other. I have not changed any settings that I am aware of since this started happening. In some cases if I paste with a base point, then paste I can avoid this, but not in all cases. I have also opened the text boxes to verify that the bold button did not get activated. This is a very annoying problem and if I don't catch all the text that has been affected it makes drawings look inconsistent.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using Illustrator CC although I haven't tried doing this in earlier versions. When I copy text that has a drop shadow made with "effect/stylize/drop shadow" the drop shadow is editable from the Appearance pallet only in the original document. In the pasted document the drop shadow is there but does not show up in the Appearance pallet so I can't edit it. It shows up on a different layer so I can delete it but then I have to create an editable shadow from scratch on the new document. When I copy objects that are not text with drop shadow, the editiability remains, but it doesn't seem to work with text unless I create outlines of the type and then I lose the editability of the text. Is there any way to copy drop shadows that are editable on text?
