View 2 RepliesWhen using mtext and a background mask and try to modify the border offset factor from the default of 1.5 , the factor reverts back to 1.0. If I type in 1.25 or 1.75, it will not save it and revert to 1.0. If I put in a larger number like 2.0 or 3.0, that factor will be retained.

When I am trying to label an object, surface slope, elevation or lot line distance my text reverts back to layer 0. I have checked the Label style composser and have everything that I see set to the layer I want it on. When creating the label I am even physically on the proper layer but when I make the label it still goes to 0.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the attached file there are two custom iProperties that cannot be perminantly updated nor deleted. The iProperties are "size" and "purch_qty". These iProperties were created and set using a custom macro but they are of course accessable via the standard iProperties dialog. I can change the values for these particular iProperties but as soon as I save the file they revert back to their original values. Same goes for trying to delete them. All other iProperties, custom and otherwise, seem to behave normally.
The sketch in this file originated with a 2D DXF file for a vendor supplied aluminum extrusion quite a few years back. The original file has been copied (save-as...) to about 20 different files over the years. The iProperties in question were added years after most of the files were created, Each file is exibiting the same problem. These files are used in a LOT of assemblies. The thought of recreating all these files from scratch and updating the assemblies is not very inviting.
No other IPT files seem to be having this issue.

After a little while the color palette suddenly became glaringly fluorescent and no amount of rebooting could get my original color palette back. After that I opened the Palette Editor under Tools and fiddled around the Sort button settings there. This changed the order I was seeing the colors in my palette which stayed as fluorescent as ever and the original sequence would not come back no matter what I did. I read up a bit and played around with the Color Management settings-in vain. As a last resort I have uninstalled and installed the program again-to no avail! What should I do? I tried the F8 start as well-that didn't work either.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe are having an issue with the xloadpath variable. We currently have a bunch of .ac$ files in the project folders on the network. We are trying to set the temp xref file location to the same folder as the temp drawing files (located on each user's hard drive).
After specifying a location for these temp files, the location is blank once the drawing is closed and opened again (which means they are in the folders on the network).
Why is this folder location resetting to default (no location given) when the drawing is closed and opened up again? Shouldn't this be the same as selecting the folder for the temp drawing files?
I use Print Preview in X4 for all printing - great tool.
When I use Print Preview in X6 the print options are not saved when I exit Print Preview to make adjustments.
I make the correction - go back into Print Preview and all options have gone back to default. Is there anyway of correcting this.
I use Corel Draw X5 while at work and to do the particular task needed I have to have the stroke set to COLOR: RED, and WIDTH: HAIRLINE, MILLIMETERS. How to set the program to jump to these settings as a default upon opening all files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy questions is how to prevent the following from happening. I created a layer style drop shadow in a .psd file with the below parameters.
I saved it as an .asl file that I could use later. When I loaded it into a different .psd file later that day some parameters stayed the same but the angle reverted back to 30 degrees from 120 degrees all on its own as shown below.
I just want to know how to keep layer style parameters I saved in an .asl file from reverting back to defaults when loaded in to a new .psd file.
My systems parameters are as follows:
Photoshop CS6 Extend Version 13.0 x64
Mac OSX 10.8.2 with 705.44 GB used out of 749.3 GB available
The only other software I am running is Safari web browser. This is my first time trying to save a layer style and use it in a different .psd file other than the one I created it in.
I am running Corel Draw X6 64 Bit on a new Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Laptop. All current updates applied. V 16.2.0.998
If I check off "Select workspace at startup" every time I start Photo-Paint the workspace selection box is hidden behind the splash screen!
I've tried resetting my profiles. How do I get the selection box on top?
I'm not new to lightroom. In every photo I go in to edit with the tools (any of them/all of them) my cursor only appears as the tool along the edge of my workspace. Once I move the cursor into about a half inch (on the computer screen) into the workspace my cursor becomes an arrow again, not allowing me to edit except for on the edges. I mean, I can drag the portion of the picture into the area in the workspace that allows my cursor to function as a tool, but this is not easy nor is it preferable in any way.

would it be possible to set no fill and 1px black stroke as the default fill when I start up illustrator?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the X3 version there was a menue setting for the color of the work space where you could change it and not have to use the Graphite color. In the X4 version there is nowhere to select non default color. There should be as not everyone wants to be forced into having it the default"graphite or whatever"color.
View 10 Replies View RelatedOn my Vista machine, everytime I restart PS it reverts to the PS default workspace. I have a personal 'default' which will return it to my configuration, but it's annoying to have to switch it every time I restart.
how to make it retain the last workspace used.
It does not do this in XP.
I open PDFs in Illustrator that were created in Autodesk Inventor. The default of Myriad Pro is applied and I would like to change that. I have made a new document profile and a new workspace, but the profile is only good for a new document. The workspace does not change the default type. I could save lots of time if I could change this behavior! I am working in CS6 on a 64-bit Windows machine.
Perhaps it is only a question of getting Illustrator to recognize Arial?
Everything you read says that to change the default AI (CS3) startup document you use this path:
Users > (User Name) > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Adobe Illustrator CS3 > New Document Profiles > *.ai
The problem is, under Mountain Lion that path doesn't exist. When I go to my user name, there is no "Library" folder at all. Under "Shared" there is an AI Library folder, but it has nothing of any value in it.
My AI startup document (that I've been using for ages) is found here:
HD > Applications > Adobe Illustrator CS3 > Plug-ins > filename.ai
However, if I navigate there and make changes, then quit Illustrator and re-launch it, nothing happens. I'm using the same old defaults as before. I know I need to upgrade to a later version of CS, but the prices have become so outrageous there's no way I can justify it as long as AI and PS are working. You need a mortgage to buy new Adobe products these days.
When I first install My autocad Map 3D 2012 my workspace name are Planning and Analysis, 2D Drafting Workspace or Map Classic Workspace after I select reset button in option->Profiles tab My Workspace names are Drafting & Annotation, 3D Basic, 3d Modeling or AutoCAD classic. View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and paid for the upgrade version of CorelDraw X6 because I have X3,X4 and X5. I have installed it already but I went to reinstall on my desktop PC as I wiped my hard drive back to factory state, CorelDRAW no longer gives the upgrade option.

I need to change arrowheads of dimension style to default value. I find out from AutoDesk Exchange document this list:

"_OPEN" open
But I can not use "" to change back to default.
I have been using autocad for many years but have never experienced this situation before. I have received a simple Electrical layout file from a consultant, after opening this file my settings in AutoCAD changed, for examples the snap angle to the cursor changed to 337.18 degree, the selection box (pick box) went to maximum and a few other settings also changed. I had to manually go back to the options and change some of the settings back to what I normally have which is very much similar to default settings. But I could not change everything back to normal. I had AutoCAD 2010 and later installed 2012 to see if it would fix the problems. What surprised me is that when install fresh AutoCAD 2012, the default settings is now changed to the settings that has changed in my previous AutoCAD.I would like to change the settings back to normal.

I used to resolve this problem (when I was actually trying to keep using my created brush when it was reverting back to basic brush) but I would resolve it by double clicking on the designated brush in the brushes palette.
Also seeing as were on the subject of brushes, nop matter how I adjust the firmness/ pressure both in the driver setting of my wacom and for the brush in illustrator, I see no difference?
