I need to know how to produce a 53' x 3' banner on one continuous piece of roll paper on a Canon iPF8000s.
I have done it before (once) using "tiling" but I have forgotten how I accomplished it (and perhaps there is a simpler way)
Can I produce an editable PDF in Corel Draw 15, like i can in Adobe Acrobat?

Quite often my print customers want their invoice or statement to have rounded rather than square cornered boxes. When the whole form needs to be done as a table I can't do this. Masking it out works on a solid fill, but not on an outline.

I am trying to generate A4 tiles of a large banner (13m x 3m).
In the layout mode, I can't seem to get the image size to be set at 100%. If I manually set the image size to 100% and click on apply, this drops back to 38%. 38% is the highest it seems accept.
Is this a limitation with CorelDraw? Is there a way around this?

I can adjust the line width of the ribbon banner outline and the color of the banner outline without problems. I want the outline of the banner to be one color and the interior of the banner to be another...how do I color fill the inside of the banner?
View 3 Replies View Related(CORELDRAW X6.3) Today I tried to export a .jpg file (text file) for a banner that was 6ft x 18ft. The export function wouldn't allow the 18ft, but changed it to like 9ft.
Tried in same in X3 and had the same result.
I could export the file as a .pdf and it worked just fine.
The question is, is there a maximum export size?

I recently had to reformat a hard drive and reinstall everything.
I have a bunch of custom made symbols that I use often and for some reason, when using the Symbols Manager docker, they are no longer showing up in the Local Symbols>User Symbols folder in that docker as they used to.
The old hard drive had XP Pro on it but this new one has Windows 7 Pro on it. I am aware of the path changes made in Windows 7 and swear I have the custom symbols located in the correct directory.
I am using X4 version 14.0.0.567
I have them placed in the following directory:
C:UsersAdministratorAppDataRoamingCorelCorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4User Symbols
When I attempt to create a new Symbol, it saves the new symbol file in the directory above and when I go to that directory, I can see all of my custom Symbols. They just are not showing up in Draw X4 for some reason even though they are there.
For some strange reason I no longer have the option to export to ai. I am not running 6.4 (latest update) and was hoping that when this update was installed that it would have fixed the issue, but it did not.

I have some text with stars powerclipped inside of wording. When I save as svg and open in sure cuts alot the stars are no longer power clipped.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been trying really hard now and this has ocurred several times before for me: I copy a text from MS Word and paste it into a Paragraph text frame in Corel Draw, and all I get is a line break. That's correct, just one line break, no text.
If I take just a few hundred words it pastes allright, but if I have like 14 000 characters including spaces, it fails to paste. If I paste the same amount of text into Notepad and then from there to Draw, it works alright. There seems to be a problem importing/pasting formatted text, even if you discard all fonts and formatting in the Paste text dialog.
If I go to Edit/Paste special/Text the import works, but the text does not land in the text frame selected or where you have the cursor active, instead you get the text in some randomly fomed text frames where you most likely don't want them, many times just as big as the page and with no margins.
So there definitely seems to be a problem pasting longer texts into Corel Draw.
When I try to import from My Documents, the drop down file format on the right no longer has "ALL FILES" as an option. Therefore, I am unable to import photos, logos, etc.

None of the ones listed under arrange, transformations will work. Have I accidently turned something off or what. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it is the same. I am running windows 7
View 8 Replies View RelatedWith automatic windows update 12/12/12 problem with fonts type T1, which are used in a document, suddenly no longer visible even after Save Image in PDF, but present on the document.
So when you format text in t1 long distance, for the update windows then this is visible, then no longer visible, but there was still. only way to solve computer back to earlier restore point, then everything is fine again.
I am running the 32 bit trial of X6 and the transparent vignette bitmap effect no longer works. I have converted the bitmap to CMYK transparent and back to not transparent several times in CorelDraw X6 and it still does not work. I have event tried making the bitmap an RGB transparent background and it still does not work.
Then when I click "Edit Bitmap..." it DOES open as a bitmap with a transparent background but the vignette function in Photo-Paint X6 does not work with the transparency either. It forces a background color. There is no longer an easy way to fade the edges of a photo.
Why do you always manage to break stuff that was working Corel?
I've done a series of system roll backs over the last week and now I cannot get any Corel program to open.
I've un- and re-installed twice but this has not worked.
I can see my .cdr files and their previews in Windows 7 but when I double click on one I get the error message "there was a problem sending the command to the program"
Is there something I need to do for a clean uninstall so I can reinstall correctly?
I do a LOT of photo editing while using CorelDraw X6. It was really handy to launch the photo editor with the icon. How can I get it to launch, again?

My preferences were set to 16:9 right from the start and all the material is either originally 16:9 or cropped to 16:9, so it would be nice to produce the video as 16:9. I tried a few other file type options that I thought might be suitable for uploading but can’t find anything on offer that would produce a small file size in 16:9.

I think that I need to do 3D views of interiors as my clients are being asked to provide them for presentation purposes. I would like to know if it is possible to produce decent 3D views in Architecture and render (even in a basic format) them too. If I can do this then I don't need to spend money on Revit LT or similar but maybe just some money on training.

My images after being processed in LR show clearly different colours in other applications e.g. Picassa on the same computer with properly calibrated screen by Spyder 4 Pro.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe are currently working on an architecutre project for which we have to make printed curtains/screens. The maximum of one Curtain is about 180 meters (600ft). Over the 180 meters we have a pattern, which makes it not so easy to split files into pieces (color gradients, a.m.m.)
Our printing company suggested us to produce everything in a 1:10 scale (1 meter is 10 centimeters) and in 600dpi and they will scale it up with their rip unit and print it than in 1:1. Final print resolution is therefore 60dpi.
As a start we are doing a 25 meters x 2,5 meters file - which is already super hard on the computer. (all new macs with 16gb ram and adobe creative cloud)
Is there any way of working like with videos - online and offline files? So that we work on a smaller scale and then repeat all the steps on the larger images.
We want to get our workflow optimized as we have to produce 3000 meters of image.
Photoshop CC cannot produce 2 equal batch results ! its skips images at random and even worse skips parts of the batch commands! This makes PSD CC absolute useless in a professional environment, and that Adobe have not fixed this huge bug in the last 5 updates they have done in less than a month is an outrage.

How do I import photos of all different sizes and output to a 800 x 600 photo suitable for import to a digital photoframe? In Photoimpact, I set up a new image that is 800 x 600, make changes to the photo (crop, hue, etc), resize so that the minimum ht or wdth is 600 or 800, right click, copy, move to new image, paste, then move the image about until I am happy with the finished photo and save to a file that will subsequently be copied to a USB pen drive.
We are trying to find a way to produce a BMP/PNG/ tiff file Heightmap (Hillshade?), I was able to produce something, but it isnt good enough quality (attached). What is the best workflow to achieve a good quality image?
