I'm working on a part of an image that, I suppose, is "complex".
I'll start by saying I have no snap to options selected. I'm zoomed to a section of an image and moving the node arrows to create the pattern. Why do the arrows push each other out of the way? How do I manage node manipulation without the pushy arrows? Is it possible to have too many nodes? I only have this happen when working on something with a lot of nodes.
I have a complex shape that has a cutout to the edge and I would like to apply a radius.I can, of course, play with nodes etc. but is there an easy way to do this? I use combine and weld etc. but the problem is ensuring the edges touch on both faces.
Im importing large plots from autocad in .pdf format into corel to annotate and overlay a few images , these drawings have literally thousands of lines are really slowing the computer down a lot making it impossible to do anything, is there a way to optimize these so they run any faster? i really dont want to have to flatten them into raster images as it defeats the point of it!
if it was indeed possible to remove text from an image with rather detailed background. I'm no stranger to Photoshop and the Adobe Family however I've tried several methods and all of them seem to work but finished result looks obviously doctored...
Here is the image, my client wants the price from the image to vanish, while retaining the background!I have tried myself to accomplish such a result but my attempts at this
I've been trying to hatch a complex image with a single pattern, but with different stroke weights. Â Here I added an image of a simple greyscale image with below the hatching that I'm trying to make. In short: I want to use only 45 deg. hatches in this direction. However, based on the grey value, I'd like the hatches to have different weights. Â However, since this image is quite simple, only four different weights were needed. However, I'd like to know if there is an easy way to do this for complex images. For this image I just used pattern fills with different stroke weights, but I'd like a smoother and easier solution, preferably one where it would be possible to have many different weights without having to split up the image in thirty different parts and making thirty different pattern fills. Â I'm not sure if this is possible, but I might be overlooking something. If it would be possible with a plugin, I'd like to know too. Even if there might be a workaround via Photoshop, and the end-result would not be a perfect vector, It'd be fine.
When I am setting the plot sheets I have to switch off Sections and section boxes, Ref planes, window tags, door tags or planting, objects that or not required in views. I seam to do this quite a lot.
Is there a way to set the state drawing so that at the things you want switched off are or if needed go back to how it was before.
I have a purchased model with a "hose type" rigg, and I can't figure out how to replicate it.
There is a hose with a bone structure that has four point helpers one on the face mask, one at the top, one at the bottom and one in the middle. If I move the one in the middle it moves all the bones without stretching them...
I have moved some files around using Windows Explorer to split up some large file directories. LR3 sytill thinks the library is as it was bvefore the move and I cant seem to stop it. Â How do I tell LR3 that the files have moved and rebuild the library?
The Text tool has options for anti-aliasing - Strong, Crisp, etc. Is there anything similar when filling paths?
I am filling two paths with a common edge; when the Anti-alias box is un-checked, the border looks ragged, but when the box is checked, the border looks grey. I can get the results I want by filling twice with anti-aliasing turned on, but I would like to have the box "Half-checked".
I have not been able to the nice feature of pressing shift+ number to control the amount of flow while painting for some time now (or to control the amount of opacity with airbrush on). This feature was great when I first started using it back in PS7 but I haven't seen it since the last few packages.
It is a major time saver for any digital painter's workflow and am worndering if their is any way to make this function work again.see the the adobe link if you'd like to see Adobe's description of the function.[URL]...
I am hoping to get something that i can print out and refer to the next time i try and resize an image so how to resize and resolution relationships when i resize an image or when i redo the resolution in an image. Â i always seem to LOSE RESOLUTION when i make an image smaller - say going from 19" wide to 8.5" wide - and the image always seems to get downsampled in a way that doesn't seem necessary. the way i can tell this happens is if i blow up the 8.5 wide document that i just RESIZED, the resolution is not the same as it was when it was a 19" wide document even though it seems like it coule/should be.
I have a video that is 2:20-long, so it is a bit longer than a DVD/DL (8.5GB) at full HQ. But, when I let X6 "make it fit", it seems to reduce it by almost 50%, making the DVD folders only 5.1GB. This really ruins the quality.
Is there any way I can either control the reduction or tell it to leave the output alone when writing to hard-drive/DVD folders. I can then use a different DVD/video processing program that is smart enough to control the reduction just enough to comfortably fit/fill a DVD/DL (I have such a program) and not use a 100/50/25% approach to compressing/reducing.
Is there a way to control the transitions from one image to the next when generating a flash web gallery? I'm using CS4/Bridge on WinXP. The fade out/in from one image to the next is very chunky, no matter what the file size. And that's on my local copy before I've uploaded it to the web. I also haven't found a way to generate web galleries from within CS4 itself (looked at file/automate, as well as window/output, but nothing obvious in either location).
Is it possible to map '[' and ']' to the wheel on a mouse? I think that it would be much easier to control brush size like this than using those keys. If not, I'll just try to find adjacent keys on the left size of the keyboard to do that.
I'm trying to do is take a video file and make a part of it into an animated gif. I only just got Photoshop CS (Version 8.0) and so I'm still a bit of a clutz with it. What I'm doing is going into ImageReady and using the "File > Open" option to open the video, I edit it down to the length I want with the dialog that pops up. Then I adjust the video and canvas size to my needs. But I can't find any option to control the speed. While I'm editing it the animation runs in slow motion, and when I save it to gif it still runs in slow motion. However, if I save it as a QuickTime file or something, it runs at normal speed. How can I change the frames per second or at least get it to run at the normal speed it does in the video for a gif file?
The only way I've found so far is to edit out frames from the animation, but then it comes out choppy. I've asked in several other places and looked at tutorials and they say to use the "File > Save to web" option. But there does not seem to be any such option and I think they may be referring to older versions. How can I do this in the version I have?
I have a small residential project with corner lot sloping up diagonally from the intersection. The client wants to raise 'usable' surface of the site by introducing terracing - 3 retaining walls 3' high and 3' apart.
All is interrupted by a driveway and series of steps leading to the main level. I'm trying to modify existing surface, but the topo seems to have 'life of it's own' . I've tried to Split some surfaces to make life easier. That worked to some extent. How to make the topography cooperate? Is there a way to 'turn off' triangulation? ( not the visibility ) . I'm certain the contours I'm creating can be built, but Revit is 'changing' them to something else. Some points that I place are simply ignored.
Using Revit 2014, I link in a dwg file. I open a view and using V/G overides for Imported Categories, I turn off the Acad layers I don't want to see. Then the next time my dwg file is updated, the V/G will remain the same and I won't have to reset the layer views. Now I duplicate this view for additional views I need in my project. But I need to apply a different View Template to each view. This destroys the original V/G settings that I had set up for the dwg file.Is there a way to set up my linked file so that it retains the layer on/off settings through each update and lock it. Then I can apply different View Templates to introduce other characteristics without altering the desired layer settings.
I have VS4 and yesterday worked on a project with a music track and a voice-over. I created a track I liked using SmartSound, the automated music track creation app that comes with VS4 (and there's a version for VS2 & VS3 as well). A few seconds after the music track started, I wanted to dip the level so that I could insert a voice-over, but there was no way I could figure out to reduce the music level just during the voice-over. I had to reduce the level of the entire SmartSound track so that you can hear the voice-over above it.
I could have created multiple SmartSound tracks for this, using normal volume before and after the voice-over, and reducing the level during the voice-over. But that would create music that didn't flow as a continuous piece, and I like the continuous track.So... is there any way to change the level in the middle of a SmartSound track? I would normally click on the track in the timeline, split it into segments, and set the levels for each segment. However, the SmartSound track wouldn't let me do that.
What is the surface size threshold above which civil 3d 2012 will create an mms file, and how can I change that threshold to force it to keep the surface data in the dwg file if that's what I want?
As a background....I am coming off of 10+ years using Catia (that's the software the company used) and have moved to a company that uses Inventor instead. I have used inventor for the past year.
In the past (Catia) it seemed pretty intuitive to create the vertical and horizontal during the creation of the sketch in such a way that would reflect the way you would want it defined as a view in a drawing. As well as controlling the preferred screen view (vertical +’ve to the top of the screen and horizontal +’ve to the right of the screen)
As per a previous post....I have tried the "Edit Coordinate System" but find it difficult to control the Vertical and Horizontal axis independent of each other.......
I understand that "functionally" there is no issue...but it becomes quite disorienting in a complex model when going to edit a sketch and the model spins around, showing the sketch in an orientation that doesn't relate to the models features, or "sketch related" features.
It becomes especially difficult/confusing when modifying/checking other peoples models as well.
I just wanted to support the need for this functionality. In the end it just enhances the flexibility of the software and maintain some amount of definable company standard work procedures for modelling.
Maybe it hasn't been included in the software because of proprietary reasons? I would hope there is a reason.....it seems like there are people out there who would utilize it.
I have many layers of data being FDOÂ / SDF and Native Autocad Layers in the Display Manager which controls the DRAW ORDER. I also have 2-3 XREF's attached which when inserted create a separate layer in the Layer Properties. I am trying to separate these XREF layers from the Map base layer and have a new layer created in the DISPLAY MANAGER for each of the xref''s. I right click in the display manager and go DATA>ADD DRAWING DATA>DRAWING LAYER and select the Xref layers. They successfully get inserted into the DISPLAY MANAGER but when checking them on/off, it doesn't control its display. It appears they are still on the MAP BASE.
Problem: I need to be able to control the size of toolbars (ICON size) via the worspace.
More Details: There is a department in our company that has a very specific function they need to perform in our ACAD drawings.
I created ONE toolbar that has the commands they need and set this toolbar to be the only thing that is displayed in their workspace.
Since it is just one toolbar I thought it would be good for the tool bar to use the large icon setting. But I only need to it to change when when using this one workspace.Other workspaces need to use small icons.
Is there a way to control the icon sizes when switching between workspaces?
ps = New PaletteSet("MyPalette") ps.Size = New System.Drawing.Size(164, 266) ps.MinimumSize = New System.Drawing.Size(215, 150) ps.TitleBarLocation = PaletteSetTitleBarLocation.Left
For some reason changing the Size and MinimumSize doesn't seem to have any impact.
Also..I've been basing a project on the width it allows me but on a lower resolution screen it loads cutting off the right hand segments of the controls.Â
When I create a new layer, Photoshop automatically assigns a number to that layer (i.e. Layer 51). Is there a way I can reset this numbering system? When I start a new folder with a new set of layers, I want it to begin on #1 again. How do I do this?
Is there a way to control the color of a field region when it is exported to Autocad? I believe the boundary of the field region dictates the color of the filled region when exported to Autocad. Is there any way to override this?
How do I make the Qleader retain 3 vertices when I stretch the vertices? It's fine if I do not enter any text with the command and then create separate MText, but I'd like to use the command as it's written. However, if I start stretching the endpoints around on the screen, I will end up with extra vertices in the line, and I cannot get rid of them.
