Nov 16, 2013I want to sort paragraphs in alphabetically order for a glossary. If this is possible I will glad to know. If that can't be undone in coreldraw, how to export text for ms word. When i copy and paste in word 2013 it loose all formatting. I try paste special but there is no option for keep formatting. My all glossary text is type in paragraph frame.

Jun 13, 2013I have been using X3 for years, then decided to upgrade to 4 which I did, however I stopped using X4 as I could not see the Fonts display in the fly out box as they show blank so you can not see what the text would look like say in 'Bold' or 'Italic' or in a different font. I keep trying to sort it then I just go back to X3 but I really want to use X4 (I have X5 which does exactly the same thing.) I have looked at the 'Font settings' in X3 & compared to X4 checked and unchecked boxes, still no different. I did have X4 loaded on another old computer, which I uninstalled, thinking this may be the problem. Didn't change anything, so I have just uninstalled and reinstalled on the computer I am using now but still no good.
My operating system is still windows XP not sure if this is the cause?

Mainly used to open a new document and make the layout background solid and non printable. I really like this feature since I work with the color white a lot, however I could not find any setting to start new documents with anyway. The macro creates a new doc and changes the layout setting to what I like, but when i run it with no documents open, the only menus i get are File View Tools.

Mar 30, 2011CorelDraw was working a few weeks ago, but now when I open a menu Bitmap and select anything to edit the picture, like Blur, Camera, Distort, or any of them, I see the adjustment slider screen open, but then it minimizes to a small blue bar that lists the name of the effect and does not allow me to make any adjustments. In fact I can do nothing until I close (x out) the blue bar.
I have done the reset to workspace, downloaded and installed patches, but nothing changes.

Apr 21, 2012I'm working on a book that has watermark on all pages and jpegs too of a4 size. Working in earlier version [x5], I used to overlap all the watermarks which was located in master layer. When I used to import a fresh jpeg on new pages, the watermark went below the jpegs. What i used to do was create a new master layer and then cut pasted the watermark in that layer, and the watermark came above the jpegs in the pages that were added later. In CorelDRAW x6 this i'm not able to do.
The watermark remains bottom of the jpeg, no matter what i do. if i edit the same file in version X5, it works fine and then i get it into x6 and do rest of stuff it works fine. The watermark problem still exists.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Randomize Order Of Objects In Layout?
Aug 22, 2013I use CDX5 to run our laser engraver. A customer brought us in some plastic sheet he'd like us to laser into small little "lenses" that go over LEDs. These little lenses are roughly .5" square with one radiused corner. The material isn't cheap, so of course the customer wants to minimize waste - I can't spread them out.
I just ctrl-D duplicate them into a tightly packed array and send to the laser... Unfortunately, the material isn't very laser-friendly. It sucks up a lot of heat and starts to bulge, which takes the laser out of focus. I can get decent results by doing a few at a time, but that causes too much waste. If I try to do to many in one area, the bulging leads to ruined parts.
Is there a convenient way in CD to randomize the order of objects? If the laser would cut one over here, then another over there, etc, I think the heat buildup would no longer be a factor, and I wouldn't have to babysit the machine. I thought about doing it manually in Object Manager but, ugh, there are like 384 pieces in the layout.

Jun 4, 2013So all of a sudden my contextual menus in AI CS6 are acting weird. They always "flyout" to the right (or the direction of the arrow in the main menu), but now some of them are opening to the left. This is really annoying when you are trying to move quickly and are expecting that menu to flyout to the right. I have attached two screenshots showing the issue.

Feb 21, 2014i'm doing a large project that requires me to import 40 to 50 image files into separate edge documents. (about 30 documents each with 40-50 sequenced images.) each time i import a batch of images, the order gets messed up. in finder they are labeled as filename01.jpg, filename02.jpg etc. when i import them into edge, it scrambeles the files for no apparent reason (see image below) and i have to delete them and re-add them from the images library to get them in order.
why don't they just import in order?
as you can see, i moved file _10000 to the top (it was somewhere in the middle) and the rest of the files are in no apparent order. this is extremely annoying as the files were named as such to keep them in order!! is this a bug, or just the way that edge thinks importing files works?

Aug 12, 2011I'm in search of an answer for a MAJOR problem I am having! When I capture pics to a file for a project, they are renamed to a time and do not stay named as my original file. It is absolutely necessary for the pics to be in numerical order for the projects I do. I see an option to sort, but it sorts by new name (time) instead of the original file name. I've not been able to find an answer and I have a HUGE project that must be completed tomorrow evening.
