AutoCAD 2013 :: Sheet Set Manager - Model View Tab Not In Alphabetical Order
Dec 12, 2013Using Autocad2013. Roughly two weeks ago we updated our company server. Since then, in the Sheet Set Manager, the 'Model View' tab is no longer in alphabetical order. The drawings are just randomly listed now, no order whatsoever.

May 9, 2012I have a set of Design Drawings on my desk that I need to produce a set of Record Drawings. The Design Drawings are a combination of three original contracts so the file paths for these drawings are scattered thru three project folders. Is there an easy way to create a new Sheet Manager for my Record Drawings. If I open the original Design Drawings and use "Save As" then the drawings being saved to the new Record Drawing Sheet Manager are all tied to the original Design Sheet Manager.
To copy the drawings to the Record folder I will have to open them and relink all xrefs besides having to determine the file path of each drawing to be sure I am copying the correct files to the Record Drawing Folder. Is the easiest solution to use "Save As" and insert a new border with the corrected "Fields' so they are now connected to the Record Drawing Sheet Manager?

Jul 26, 2010I've created a new sheet set with some existing drawing files. These files have several layout tabs in each drawing. The Sheet Set Manager (SSM) seems to import the layout tabs in random order, not in the order they appear on the drawing, nor in alphabetical or numerical order. In addition, the SSM imports and numbers all of my drawings in reverse order. Any system variable setting, or some other property setting somewhere that will change this back to ascending order?

Feb 21, 2014i'm doing a large project that requires me to import 40 to 50 image files into separate edge documents. (about 30 documents each with 40-50 sequenced images.) each time i import a batch of images, the order gets messed up. in finder they are labeled as filename01.jpg, filename02.jpg etc. when i import them into edge, it scrambeles the files for no apparent reason (see image below) and i have to delete them and re-add them from the images library to get them in order.
why don't they just import in order?
as you can see, i moved file _10000 to the top (it was somewhere in the middle) and the rest of the files are in no apparent order. this is extremely annoying as the files were named as such to keep them in order!! is this a bug, or just the way that edge thinks importing files works?

I have entered the custom properties, then when I go to the title block and try to insert the fields with current sheet set custom the drop down box is empty and then when I try to type in the custom property name the link still does not function. Feb 10, 2013I'm fairly new to Autocad and getting used to using sheet set manager. What I'm experiencing is, when you insert a model view it brings in an xref of that model, but i'm then unsure how to add additional xref models into the same view.
For example I have a separate ground floor plan file and OS data file which I want to show in the one sheet view without nesting the OS data to the original ground floor file.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Layer Properties Manager Column Order?
Jul 26, 2011Most annoying thing, the VP Freeze and New VP Freeze columns in the Layer Properties Manager keep resetting themselves to original position. I've done all the proflie stuff, re-save it after changing it, re-load it when I find the error, etc.. and still it reverses every time I restart AutoCAD.
What is it with the columns in dialog boxes? I've posted how the column widths in the File Dialog box reset everytime too. How they don't follow windows folder options. Is this some Windows issue or AutoCAD issue?

Jul 7, 2011I am starting over here at work. I am using and familiar with SSM. However, i want some feed back on some of your practices on where you keep the DST files and other basic setting. I want to make sure i am not missing something or overlooking a better (efficient) way to keep everything organized.
currently I have created a "template" DST file and keep it in a subfolder for the project that is currently being worked in. I like this because when we archive the job folder; everything that goes with that job gets zipped/archived.
I have been thinking about putting all the DST files in one "SSM" folder in the root folder list of our projects...
