CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Can No Longer Run Program After System Roll Backs
Jan 13, 2011I've done a series of system roll backs over the last week and now I cannot get any Corel program to open.
I've un- and re-installed twice but this has not worked.
I can see my .cdr files and their previews in Windows 7 but when I double click on one I get the error message "there was a problem sending the command to the program"
Is there something I need to do for a clean uninstall so I can reinstall correctly?

Jul 26, 2013I'm having an issue with PowerClip I never used to have in X3 (the last version I was able to afford).Basically, some small details in a graphic keep getting irreversibly lost due to PowerClip... I'm tracing over a drawing I scanned, and placing small details inside larger objects to keep my workspace clean. What's going on is, as I get to work on, say adding blends and gradients to a different part of my graphic, the next time I zoom out I notice the details I placed inside a container I wasn't currently working on are suddenly gone; They're not in the wireframe view for either the full image or within the container, and have simply vanished from the container, as though I never even made them. I make sure outlines are always converted to objects before I put them in a container, but I can't imagine it matters..PowerClip is one of my most-used tools and it'll really limit my abilities if I can't rely on it.

Sep 19, 2011I am currently experiencing a big problem when using X4 which is causing some major headaches here in the Workplace!
Whenever I hit space, paste text or do anything involving fonts I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error folowed by a non-responding dialog with force close.
I have been using X4 for some years now and not sure what has caused this issue, it was fine in the morning and stopped working in the afternoon.
I have SP2 installed and no changes have been made to any settings to cause this.
X4 is the main programme I use here at work and this problem is grinding the place to a halt.

But now when i am opening this file it say "File contains Invalid Object" "IGNORE:ABORT:RETRY"..I chose every option but nothing seems to happen and corel draw gets hanged..I tried importing it..also i tried re installing it but nothing seem to work...

Aug 16, 2012Upon startup of CorelDraw X4, I get an error message and the debugger opens (macro) and highlights a line of code in the Recent Files macro. I suspect it may be a Windows 7 update since about 15 updates were installed today.
P.S. - resetting workspace by pressing F8 at startup is not an option.

Aug 16, 2013I came across an interesting problem. I was using PaintShop Pro to import a RAW image from my camera, then export as a TIF for use in CDGS X6. When I tried to import the file into CorelDRAW or PhotoPaint, I got an error message:
(X) Invalid compress data
I could see a thumbnail image in WIndows, and I could open the file in IrfanView. Re-saving the TIF from IrfanView allowed me to open it in CDGS.
I thought the problem was with PSP, and reported the issue to the product team, but then I tried exporting the same TIF from PhotoPaint (from the same RAW image file), and when I tried to re-open the TIF, I got the same error. So PhotoPaint could not read the TIF exported from... PhotoPaint!
Smaller files don't seem to be an issue, but my camera files are in the neighborhood of 5000x3000 pixels, and the TIF files weigh in at around 50MB.

PC - Dual core with 2Gb RAM 300Gb disc space running MS XP Sp3 (ALL Latest updates installed), latest NVidia drivers installed. I have looked at all previous inputs on this problem and carried out installation with Anti-Virus disabled, FIREWALL disabled, disconnected from network etc etc.
On attempting to start any of the package applications the software fails with an A.R.M. error.
