Xara :: Error Code-6 When Trying To Run Designer Pro 7
Sep 16, 2011When I try to run Xara Designer Pro 7 I get a window popup that tell me "The program could not be started. It's possible that the installation folder is damaged." with the error code: -6
No matter what I try I get that error. I tried with a new doawnloaded file, with the file from the CD, after to have removed files on the Intel SSD or hard drives, and keys in the registry (but maybe i missed some!). I also tried with or without system protections/firewall/antivirus as well with or without administrator rights.
My system is Windows 7 64 bits with Xara designer pro 7.1.1.

Jan 31, 2013I am a C# developer and not very familiar with coreldraw(when using with c#). My problem is that i am programmatically importing image on a curve using the following C# code.
d.ActiveLayer.Import(imgpath);// image path is path of the cdr file
var v = d.ActiveShape;
v.SizeHeight = 20.00;
v.SizeWidth = 15.00;
v.AddToPowerClip(s);
Now when i run this code the image gets placed into the curve bit it gets stretched vertically means the face of a student(that comes from imagepath) get stretched vertically..When i do this Manually with scaling and sizing ratio locked it gets properly inserted in curve....
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: QR Code Image
Feb 13, 2012I am trying to put a client's qr code png on a file I am creating for them. It seems to be a regular png file, but when I try to import or paste in either CD or PP all I get is a black square.
What is strange is I can open this same png with Intraview no problem, I can copy and paste it into Word with no problem, I can open it in Adobe PHotoshop Elements without a problem. I also can open and view it in Windows Live Photo Gallery. It is just in CorelDraw X5 that I am experiencing the problem.

Apr 23, 2012we updated from corel 14 with smart designer to corel 15 with smart designer 4.5. Corel is crashing almost continually and is running slow. it is on a dell workstation running a xeon processor W 3503 @2.4 GHZ with 4 gig of RAM with windows 7 professional with service pack 1 32 bit system. We have defraged the system, ran a registry cleaner, rebooted etc..

Jul 12, 2011I would like to export my Corel files and parse them myself with C# code for display in Microsoft’s WPF. I've tried this with SVG files with mixed success. Any resource that explains the coordinate system of Corel's SVG export data?
After parsing corel SVG paths, I've noticed some odd behavior. Here are a few things:
The position of a Corel graphic on a page prior to exportation affects the size of the graphic in the SVG file?
I get negative numbers (x y points) in the SVG file when corel numbers are all pos. The x,y values seem to be flipped to y,x values.
I have a large volume of our own clip art that I need to put on line via Microsoft's WPF (windows presentation foundation) all of which is saved in CDR files .

When I am creating a word object, if the Height of the Text is greater than 21cms the art work is not being generated. It took me a while to understand this. Jun 4, 2013Originally, I'd used linear transparency on image#1 which caused a line that showed up only on a Ricoh-generated hard proof. I kept the transparency of image#1 and converted it to a bitmap, so no lens, but still the line. Finally I ditched the transparency I'd applied to image#1 and placed image#2 over image#1 to achieve the fade-out of image#1 that I had originally intended. Now image#2 is creating a line only evident when printed on that bloody Ricoh!
