CorelCAD, looking for a way to create vertical incremental numbering for schematic line number referencing. Don't see any way to do it with table. want to maintain control of vertical spacing.

I know with the contour tool I can create a dome with horizontal lines, but is there a way to do it with vertical lines?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working on a horizontal directional drill with multiple survey points.
The survey points make up (what looks like an upside down dome) and they are all connected with polylines. I need to add straight vertical lines to each point. Of course I can do this manually, but I'm wondering if there's a way to automate it. I've tried Lee's point manager, but it seems the problem is there's no option for xstart, xend, and ystart, yend. I also tried created a block out of a line then importing that on the points with point manager, but I need all of the lines to end at the same position at the top. This doesnt work because as you can see the points aren't all equal from the bottom. I also cannot find a way to trim blocks. I was hoping blocks would have the same xstart and xend, etc. as a line, but they don't.
I am trying to create a custom curtain wall which will contain vertical strapping for the vertical mullions and horizontal wood boards. I created the two profiles and am able to create the curtain wall type control spacing etc...This looks great in elevation and plan, but when I cut a section detail the vertical strapping is cut at every horizontal mullion.
My question in short! If I want to create the look of continuous horizontal boards how can I prevent the vertical mullions from being cut? I'd rather not offset them apart so I can use this model element in details. See the section detail view attached.
Is it possible to create a viewport with a different horizontal and vertical scale? I want to create a horizontal scale of 1"=40'-0" and a vertical scale of 1/4"=1'-0". Is this possible?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am creating construction plans sets that require 3 road profiles for the left edge, center and right edge. I would like to dynamically link the center line profile with the edge profiles.
I have created alignment offsets to obtain the existing surface at the offset location. I would like the edge profiles to have a vertical offset from the center profile. Also if I modify the center profile I want it to dynamically adjust the edge profiles.
I have created an extensive action that runs on one psd. It turns on and off layers and fills them with different colors. The batch wants to name each iteration of the script the same name. Is there any way to save with incremental names. I know the batch dialog has this option, but I think it only works when the batch is based on many different files.

Can I change the Elements 8 format to work in a vertical format to accommodate the larger size possible with a vertical image. It is difficult to manipulate the functions in Elements when the mouse is working in a horizontal mode and you are viewing a large image in a vertical format. If the format of the Elements 8 software can be changes to vertical, any protocol (directions) to accomplish this?

I am noticing that when I expand the shape (in this case a perfect cube), the vertical paths are not exactly perfect, and are not truly vertical, but off slightly. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've created a dynamic block with listed increments e.g. 36, 42, 48 inches width. The dynamic window block that comes with autocad has the same incremental stretch.
This block shows the tick marks as well as a the value in a dynamic input box. How can I have the value displayed in my custom dynamic block. All I have is the "tick" marks.
In other applications, you hold down shift (quite often) as you move a slider and it jumps in larger increments. How is that done in Smoke 2013. For instance I want to move the scale value in larger increments.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to set up a dimension that starts at a minimum value and increases incrementally by 1/16" of an inch to satisfy another dimension. I've attached a pdf showing the part and the two dimensions. I need the overall thickness of the part to start at 1 1/4" as shown and as the width (Depth + 1 1/2") changes, the thickness will grow when the tongue of the part gets less than 5/8". I'm guessing this is an area best suited to ILogic, but I'm not sure how to get started.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've done the full backup to an external drive. When attempting to do the incremental backup I follow the prompt to select the destication and do the browse to locate the previous backup folder.
I double click on it expecting it to be loaded into the incremental backup prompt but instead it goes into a busy state and then give me a "Elements 10 Organizer Fails to Respond" message.
I have got a problem with the backup-function. After making a (time-consuming) full back-up, I'd like to make a incremental backup. The first steps are the same. At a certain moment, i get the opportunity to choose the incremental one. Therefore i locate the .tly file. When i want to proceed, PSE11 freezes.
Is this a common problem, and (more interesting)

backup-medium: external drive, connected with e-sata
OS: Windows 7
I performaned a backup on 12/6/2013, The backup folder name is "13-1206 PE 11 Backup". It is located on an external 1TB drive.
Today I added a number of files to the catalog. Now I am trying to do an incremental backup.
My 1st step is to ogen the organizer and choose File > Backup
2nd is to select Continue to not search for disconnected files, (these have been deleted)
3rd is to chose incremental and click [NEXT], the calculating total media window runs
4th In the Destination settings Window I enter 13-1206 PE in the Name box (this is the character limit)
5th In the Backup Path I browse to G:13-1206 PE 11 Backup
6th in Previous Bachup file box I browse to G:13-1206 PE 11 Backup and open Backup.tly
I get a message that says "You may not specify the location of the previous backup as the new backup location
I have a batch of photos that are adjusted individually for exposure. Now I want to increase the exposure to all of them by say. .10 stop. Is there a way to do this in LR4 without having to adjust each file individually?

For this I have to select each alignment, its respective profile & generate the report for it. As am having more than 200 Alignments I will have to repeat the process 200 times. Is there any way to make the process easier like generating report for all the alignments at once?

Just thought I'd share some stuff that can be done with CorelCAD.
Under export, you can export a STL or STereo Lithography file. These files can be sent to a 3D printer. Sometimes, when things around the house break or go missing, a quick measure with a caliper and some fast CAD work - then a half-hour or so in the printer will produce a new part.
CorelCAD is quite useful for that kind of work.
Here's some stuff I've done with CorelCAD and an UP 3D Mini printer, which makes parts in ABS plastic - and they are quite strong... So it's great to build stuff.
First project: A clip to stop my mirror wobbling. Took about 8 minutes to design and about 8 to print.
I have windows 7 and photo shop 10. I was wondering if when I do a back up in increments to I make a new destination folder every time?
I also wonder, is it suppose to take so long?
I am new to corelcad. In fact, I am looking at the trial to make my buying decision.
I have installed the trial of corelcad2013 and have opened a autocad lt file from autocad lt 2002 (I guess).
I see a black model page.
When I select all (ctrl+A) I see all elements selected.
Any way to get them visible?
I use CorelCAD 2013 and the software seems perfect to me. But now i realized a huge problem. I only use CAD in 2D Mode. When i make the drawings i have different Z Values in the Field "Normal Z". I don't know why CorelCad does this. I never put in a Z Value.
Is the Normal Z Value editable? When i export the Drawing to my cam system the drawing is disarranged but only all Values with different Z. Normally the value is zero but she lines are -1...?
I exported a drawing (Clipper ship drawing) from TDX5 to CorelCAD .dwg format.Here are some first findings/remarks:
1. Bezier curves are displayed as "segmented" lines - should be bezier curves or adapted splines. (My Clipper ship drawings contain hundreds of bezier curves next to B-splines).
2. Texture fills are not displayed properly, only fragments and on wrong places.
3. Hidden layers are exported and shown - there should be an option to indicate whether a hidden layer should be exported or not. Better still in CorelCAD a hidden layer should remain hidden until a "show layer" command is issued. Now you have to delete a hidden layer before exporting the drawing. (My ships drawings contain many layers, many of them often hidden).
