I can't figure out how to do that (lock-in position). I restrained on axis and surface-to-surface but I don't know how to prevent 50168P and 50181B from rotating around.

As I try to incorporate this into my add-in it doesn't recognize the MoveDefinition or PartDefinition.Features.MoveFeatures, as if these were not included in the SDK. The VBA code that is listed will run, but I cannot convert it to C#.net code. Is there something I am missing, perhaps an extra reference? Sep 19, 2012I'm trying to rotate text inside an text area type.That is, rotate the text (so its e.g. 30 degrees going across the screen), but the area it is within does not rotate.
Everything I try when rotating rotates the entire area + the text in side, which makes the positioning of the shape my text is in wrong.I am after being able to change the inside text angle and content whenever needed.

Jun 13, 2008You know that rectangle selection tool? Cool huh! It lets you select a rectangular area and then move it around the graphic, letting you re-arrange layers or selected areas...
Well, I'm looking for a way to use a similar rectangular select tool and then be able to point at the bottom right corner of the selected area and be able to resize the selected area proportionally. Is there such a tool in photoshop? And if not, is there another graphic program that has this capablity? All I want is this simple capability, I'm willing to use whatever program that has it... its too much trouble creating my own program to do it.
Remember I said resize proportionately, in comparison MS Paint has a similar selection tool and lets you resize what you selected but NOT proportionately. I hope you understand what I mean. Resize but keep same proportionate dimensions...

AutoCAD Inventor :: Cannot Rotate Part Round Main Assembly Axis
Sep 28, 2013Although the part, marked in blue in the picture, has, to my opinion, degrees of freedom, i cannot rotate it round the main assembly axis, the Z axis.
Maybe it's connected to the 2 holes underneeth it, which i projected?
Or maybe because of the axis i made through the M24 thread?

May 21, 2013Is it possible to get the "actual" calculated area of the face of a part from a drawing view? I looked at the drawing view object in the api but didn't find what I was looking for. What my goal is, I want to calculate the actual square foot of this piece and then subtract it from the overall square foot so I can calculate waste. Perimeter's of pieces can be in multiple forms, radial, straight or a combination of the two. See image below.

Jun 18, 2012I have a block that I would like make dynamic. It is a fishhook arrow for a roundabout traffic sign. I would like to rotate the head to various angles, and have the body of the arrow adjust. I already have the ability to stretch the two end points in their direction, and rotate the head, but the curved part of the arrow body needs to adjust for the new head location. I tried dynamic stretch, but it would not attach to the rotate dimension. How do I get these arcs to stretch along their radii and associate the end arc points to the near end of arrow head?
I had one thought of using multipe arcs so that they would overlap more or less as rotated, but this is a pretty crude workaround.

Nov 20, 2011I have shape files (also SDF) but they are without area (in geometry box there is only Type: Polygon; Vertex, Vertex X, Vertex Y).
How do I get the area of the objects?
This is data I received but when I created shape files (or SDF) they also didn't have area in geometry?
Is there a rule or something? I know it can be displayed in feature properies after ticking the box but I want area in geometry.

As you can see from the attached file, as the object rotates along the path, it shift off the path such that the distance between the rhombus and the path changes esp at the turn. Jan 30, 2012I like to think of myself as pretty competent in AutoCAD but I can't figure this one out for the life of me...
I hope I can explain this clearly: When I rotate an object using grips, the object is not shown spinning in real time. I select the object, pick the object's grip, hit <Enter> <Enter> to go into the rotate command and the object will rotate maybe 45^ or so and freeze (visually).
If I use the command line "Rotate" command, the selected object(s) spin in real time or if I use grips to rotate but then use an object snap, it begins to spin in real time for some reason.
I would like to use grips to rotate my objects and be able to see them rotate (like I used to in previous releases).
I have ACAD Civil 3D 2010.

Aug 24, 2011I've run into Paint.NET a few weeks ago. I think it's a very good choice for beginners (and maybe professionals too) at a graphic field. I've made some cool pictures (with some cool plugins inside Paint.NET or published at the forum) and now I wanna to make my own plugin.
The question is how to move and rotate a specific part of image at source canvas. The rest of the image must be untouched. I consider it's impossible to use Layers -> Rotate/Zoom tool directly (correct me if I'm wrong). So I should use a piece of C# code. I think source code of Rotate/Zoom tool would be very useful too but I couldn't find it.

Aug 23, 2013I've just got AutoCAD 2012 and mkaing some rings, I needed to fit the same textures of a ring of 8mm in a 6mm ring. My problem is that the inside diameter is larger in the 6mm ring, and that's why I can't use the Scale command. Is there a command that allows me to fit all the objects in this area??

Jul 23, 2013This has happened to me a number of times. Photoshop CC prevents me from rotating the object, I can still move the camera around but not rotate. I cant even select the 3D object. Ive check and caps lock is not on.
