I'm having a problem with showing the both x,y coordinates for a certain point , know how can i do that , and by the way I'm using Auto-CAD 2005, because whenever i try to show it , it either show the X - coordinate or the y - coordinate alone but i need to show both of them for example this point (4.2 , 2.2).

I made a complex assembly from Solidworks few years ago. I imported it to Inventor 2012. How can I find the coordinate of the center point of the: a) parts/sub-assemblies, b) the complex assembly as a whole? Under Application Options, I have already checked: Sketch->Display->Coordinate system indicator. Under the assembly tree, I can go to the Origin of each sub-assembly/part and make the corresponding Center Point visible. However, I want the x,y,z values.
I copied and pasted a sub-assembly/part to a new assumbly file and then used VRMLout to export. When I imported the .wrl files to another application, the location of the parts/subassembies are not correct. I think they all became (0,0,0).
I wonder if there is a way to get an intersecting point coordinate of two polylines(lines) programmatically.
For example, like in the below sample picture, I need to get coordinates of the points in the red cycles.
Is there any method that I can easily use?
Could I get a sample code snippet that computes the coordinates? (in C# & ObjectARX 2010 if possible?)
I've looked up "Through the Interface" and this disscussion group. couldn't find any useful yet.
Is there anyway to create a point from the coordinate and elevation data listed in a section inquiry panel (see attached)?

I am trying to get the coordinate of the lastly appended(added) point object.
It seems like I need to use "ObjectAppended" event.
However, when the event is triggred, it looks like the sender object is "Database" (not Point object).

I use the command UCS, Object, Select my base point and measure from there rather than cluttering measurement lines; however, without using UCS, Previous when ever i copy and paste the base point for the copy paste is off.. yes i can reset just wondering why it does this.
I cannot get the point labels (Point #, Elevation and description) to show up beside my point markers. Looks like those labels are set to "true". Got to get my drawing to engineer in next day and he needs to see the shots.
I have attached my dwg that I have already inserted the points to. Kind of new to importing points to CIVIL 3D I have been pulling topo from contour lines in the past.

The Point Label style in Civil 3D 2009 only has the option to show Meters which isnt precise enough for the clients wants. I am using the metric template in autocad Civil 3D and all units are set to metric.
Is there a way to change you point label to show Millimeters?

I am trying to set-up point and point label styles to show trees on a survey plan. The point styles is set with a block, and a label is a regular label style that shows a point number and elevation. The problem comes when the label is positioned outside of the block that represents the point. What I need is sort of fixed offset from the center of the point.

Is there any way in Lightroom 4 that I can see the "subject distance" assuming that this will show me the focal points that I need to stack the images? I have checked these images but cannot confirm which focus order they are. I know the exif info contains this "subject distance" as I've seen it on Flickr.

So how do you get ps to place guides (H&W) at the center of any doc.
The guides do not lock to a center when i pull them from the ruler. I can not figure out a way to make the ruler show zero at a center point and go =/- out from a zero center point like a number line either.

On some Illustrator CS5 documents, when I click inside a text box, no insertion point (aka the blinking vertical line, or blinking cursor) is shown. I can see the edges, and can highlight text, so it's not the show/hide edges preference in view as far as I can tell. And I've switched show/hide edges off and on, even with ctrl-H a few times to make sure. So right now I can't tell where my insertion point or cursor is inside a text box until I start typing or highlighting something. The little blinking vertical line is gone! How do I get it back?

The reason for this is - I am a CAD tech for a welding shop and we cut parts out of steel and we use the dxf file format for our plasma table to cut parts. For example : if i have a 1 inch thick plate and want to put a 3/4'' hole in the plate the hole will be distorted because the hole is smaller than the material thickness. For these situation we can use the plasma table to burn a point or a dot on the center point of the hole. But to do this the point or dot must be on a different layer in the dxf.

I'm trying to draw a plan of my house in Autocad 2009 but I seem to be endlessly using trim and extend because I can't easily select the points that I want with osnap. Eg. imagine I have a box, and I want to start drawing another box inside it that has each side as 10 units smaller than the corresponding side on the outer box.
Step 1 - I draw a small line from the top left corner of the big box using the endpoint snap, typing in "5" for the length.
Step 2 - I then do the same at right angles to the first line to get me to the starting point of the inner box. This always leaves me with 2 small lines to remember to delete.
Step 3 - Then in order to draw the top line of the inner box I end up drawing to a random length because I can't say "draw until 5 units away from the right hand side of the big box", then I end up trimming it later once I've repeated steps 1,2 and 3 for the next side of the inner box.
I know in my example above I could have scaled the box down or something but that's not what I'm getting at. I really want a way of selecting line start and end points that are a known position away from an existing point.
I have a database of points I am trying to import, and the point data for each point includes a hyperlink. I've created a set of custom User-Defined Property Classifications for all the data types in the point database, and I've created a point file format to use to import the points.
It's a database of existing curb ramps, the data includes things like widths, slopes, some text, and a hyperlink to the Google Streetview at each ramp. I've created a custom point label that will show the data I need to see at each ramp.
All goes great except that the import fails because of the hyperlinks. I've tested it by removing the hyperlinks from a small test portion of the data set, and the test points are then successfully imported. I suppose I can delete the hyperlinks from the entire database, but if there is a way to include the hyperlinks in the point import I would prefer that.

In uploading the Point input data into the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 software program, is it possible for me to add more Point Attribute items after Point Number, X, Y, Z? I need to have the chemical results/data attached to the (sampling) Point that has the Point #, X, Y, Z - like Point Number, X, Y, Z, Arsenic, Lead, Mercury in the input .txt (or .csv) file.
