In my title block I have my email address. When I print out my drawing it is underscored. How do I get rid of this elegantly? The only thing I could do temporarily is break up the text into three distinct parts: name-the at symbol-host so whatever in my system recognizes urls will not pick up this email address and underscore it.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI've inherited a dozen heavily detailed drawings only they have been drawn freehand and do not conform to any snap mode or grid. Unfortunately the objects are not all out by a certain amount, so to adjust the entire drawing to conform to the nearest snap point I need to pretty much go through every single object and snap it to the nearest point, which will take weeks.
I've googled around a bit and have found a lisp that may potentially work however I'm running 2004 LT so therefore can't test this lisp until I find someone with a full version.
I'm sure I can find someone with a full copy of Autocad even if it means borrowing their computer just to re-align the objects. I've yet to test out the lisp I found [URL] .... although this lisp seems to suggest it will work with text objects, unfortunately my drawings include a range of objects including text, rectangles, plines etc.
I've taken a look at DotSoft's 'ToolPac' and will buy it if needed as it will apparently align all objects to the nearest snap, but I thought I'd check to see if there was any other easier/cheaper ways of doing it first.
I'd want to do the next :
Add a line, add a line, insert a curve with automatic spirals (clothoids) :
- Insert the minimal value for clotoids that comply tangency.
- If I have a standard criteria, use the appropiated values and choose the minimal value automatically.

For some reason there are a few parts that don't want me to change their BOM structure. I change them from "Normal" to "Purchased" but they instantly change back to "Normal". I have all the files checked out and in the parts document settings it's BOM structure is actually correctly labeled as "Purchased".

I'm creating/applying Object Data for Pipe Size and Valve Number for a Water Main Atlas I'm creating in Map 3D.
Is there a way to define Annotation for the Valve Nubmer and Pipe Size, so the Annotation is automatically created when each Valve feature (entity) is created? Or when each Pipe entity gets drawn?

automatically insert the arc like the picture? Is there a setting somewhere that will do this? Right now when we have a location that cannot accomodate the text we are drawing an arc and grip moving the dim text to the new location. I am trying to find a more automated way to handle these types of situations.

I've been exporting drawnings from an other program into AutoCad2013 and all the objects in my drawning appear as loose objects in AutoCad. Can AutoCad create automatically blocks from these loose objects ?
Example : I added a picture of a transformer in this message. This object (2 circles, triangle and star) becomes all loose objects and is NOT one symbol anymore. My question is, if it it is possible that Autocad can recognize these loose objects and create automatically blocks from them. There are a lot of transformers in my drawnings and If I have to do it myself it will be loads of work.
Another thing they asked to do is working with correct European Symbols. I should therefore change blocks in my drawnings into correct one's. I believe when the wrong symbol is already a block it's more easy to change them. I think I should just select all wrong blocks, edit them and then update them. But before this, I have to get blocks in my drawning ofcourse.

We are implementing a new ERP system and we've programmed the configurator in it to build a price for us. We'd like to create a simple 2D drawing for us in AutoCAD based on some of the data from the configurator automatically. Is it possible using AutoCAD LT 2013 or do you need the full version to build something like this? Also, does this sound like it would require a lot of programming in CAD?
