AutoCad :: Convert 2013 DWG To 2010?
Apr 5, 2013I have a file that my boss saved as 2013 format, I can't open it. He's the only one in the company that has 2013, and he's not in the office.

AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Convert Solid To Polyline With Mechanical 2010
Nov 8, 2012I'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2010 and received a .DXF file that contains 'solid' objects. Unfortunately the next tool in my workflow doesn't understand 'solids' only polylines (and a few other basic shapes like circles, lines, etc). Is there some way to convert the object in AutoCAD?
I tried the 'boundary' command but when it asks to 'Pick Points' and I click inside the solid, it always gives the error 'Valid hatch boundary not found'.
What am I missing here?

Dec 20, 2012I am using autocad 2013 primarily and other employees are using 2010. I am saving my drawings as 2010 and for me there are no issues. On the other hand people using 2010 are having objects missing in the drawing. All layers are turned on and all thawed. The primary objects missing are AEC objects. Is there a switch to show or hide these object?

Jul 14, 2012We recently updated all of our software at my company from 2010 architectural desktop to 2013 autocad. We do a lot of architectural work where we use the "wall" functions to draw our floorplans. I have noticed that the walls are disappearing on some files and not on others. Or we will only be able to see the outside line of the wall, but not the interior, which results in an undesirable appearance to the floorplans.
I have also run across these error messages when opening the files, I dont know if they are related or not:
"Unhandled exception C0000005 (access violation reading 0xffffffff) at address E43AA180h"
and
"Unhandled exception C0000005 (access violation reading 0xffffffff) at address D41218AEh"

Aug 31, 2012im working whit and have purchased a computer to plate punch that works with files in nc1 extension, but only works with extensions Autocad dxf and dwg, so we are looking for if Autodesk has a module to convert dxf or dwg extensions to nc1.
I've found one that converts a DXF NC1 but I found one that converts DXF to NC1.

May 29, 2013I received the attached dxf file and want to turn it into a component assembly for dynamic modeling. I was hoping to turn it into a dwg in AutoCAD and then importing it into Inventor. When i load the dxf file in AutoCAD, it seems that only the surface mesh is available, and no components are listed. I tried using the "Convert to Solid" tool, but the console output indicates that the "objects cannot be converted".
Is there any way to identify the individual components, or should i have been given another file?
