View 9 RepliesI am trying to create an automatic isometric drawing from the top, side and front views...
View 9 RepliesI need to check if all my three views are correct.
I attached the dwg
How do I annotate the views?
Is there a way to turn off automatic isometric view when returning to the model from a sketch view (in 2012)?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use both CS5 & LR3 (and sometimes Canon's DPP as an image browser). I want to stop using LR and just have one app (CS5) to manage
I do not need the database & image management features of LR. However, I do make a lot of use of virtual images and side-by-side views (candidate selection & before/after views of virtual images with the original).
How do I efficiently do the same thing with Bridge/ACR/Photoshop?
We have been putting dimensions on isometric views and the dimensions have been coming out fine. Now, however, we have an isometric and the dimension is about 400mm out and is not on the plane/face it should be.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Autocad LT 2012. If I draw in an isometric view, is there a way to look at each direction to see the different views? For instance if I make a cube, can I hatch all six sides with different colors to show if I'm looking at the correct view?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly that I would like to show dimensions on an isometric view. I am able to create the dimension, no problem. Issue I'm having is that when placed on a standard lettersize page, the dimensions are too hard to read. I've tried editing the size by double clicking the dimension & editing the font. It doesn't seem to make a difference what font size I enter, the size remains the same. How can I change the text size on isometric dimensions?
View 2 Replies View Relatedon a couple of my lager project i have recently had issues with Autodesk Civil 3D 2012 Freezing in Model Space switching between Isometric views. the number of view changes varies each time but seams to freeze during regen of the model.
I have checked the performace tuner and updated my driver, see Attached Log.
We are in the process of changing our CAD Stations over to Windows 7 64 bit, but im not scheduled for a couple more months.

i have been drawing a 3d model and when it comes to dimensioning, i can only do it for the vertical and horizontal distance from the top view. i cant find a way to dimension the thickness of my model from the side or ront view.
how do i change the settings for this..
Is it possible within the drawing to have model space and paper space displayed side-by-side like two vertical split screen viewports?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIm currently trying to draw a layout for a simple angle iron part using the front, side, and angled view. Its a flat part made of sheetmetal and it will get 1 90* bend in it.
My first question is how do i bend a part in autocad LT 2011? Ive been using autocad for years but ive never had a request for an angled view.
My second question is how would i create a layout using all 3 views and include the info block in the bottom right displaying all the info?
If it is possible to create proper dimensions for 3D isometric drafting views? In AutoCAD I could set an oblique angle for a dimension but in Revit there is no setting. I can only dimension 3D model views.
See attached PDF for example.
I've drawn a 3D helix with a different base and top radii. Is there a way to generate the Right and Left side views without actually drawing them?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI wish to show a standard top and right side view in my IDW. In my views I have a particular hole I don't (or hole set) that I do not want to show on this (or any at points) view. Is it possible to suppress a single or multiple features?
I have tried expanding the tree in the browser and clicking on the component (right and left) but there is no 'visibility' or 'suppress' avail. in the menu that comes up.
I am trying to create the artwork for stickers to cover the front and side of a freezer. I have created the front panel which consists of a block of colour along the top and bottom (with logo in top panel) and then an illlustration in the middle. Now, I want the blocks of colour and illustration to carry on seamlessly to either side to cover the 2 side panels (which are the same height but different width from the central one). Should I create in 3 separate documents and how do I make sure that I follow the illustration at exactly the point where it finishes at either side of the central panel? I haven't been using InDesign very long and I cant work it out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm currently taking an CAD program and I'm having trouble drawing a few objects in isometric perspective. These objects must unfortunately be drawn in 2D. I've drawn the orthographic perspectives for each object based on the dimensioning given however I'm unsure how to proceed on certain portions of the drawing. This is all homework and I doubt using any customization is allowed.
The first image is a top view of a fixture. I'm having trouble with the central portion which I draw by first constructing the vertical arm then using the array command.
Is there some way to create an array of this object that respects the isoplane that I drew my isocircles in?
If not, I'm able to look at the original using the VPOINT from the 1,-1,1 point and get the perspective that I want. Is there a way to use the UCS and trace over the orthographic perspective then take that traced image back to the world X-Y plane? I've tried this before but once I get it back it simply looks like the orthographic perspective.
The following drawing I'm simply having trouble drawing one particular curve which the green arrow points to. The drawing is of two perpendicular intersecting cylinders one having a slightly smaller radius then the other and the curve in question represents the edge formed by the intersection. The research I've done indicates that it's an ellipse however I'm unsure how to draw it correctly and the one I put in is simply an estimate. How can I construct the correct curve? Even if I could change viewpoints I'm not sure I could find a way to trace this one.
How to draw 2D isometric images from orthographic projections in AutoCAD as it seems many of the sites I find are either trivial or focus on drawing by hand.
I recently started drawing in cad, and i have a couple problems. At time now i am trying to learn more of isometric drawing and i have couple questions about drawing a particular figure:
21.jpg
So in there i don't know how to draw that "thing" witch i highlighted in red. I don't know at witch angle i should draw it's center(center length should be 50 cm). If I would know that, i could easily draw a isocircle above. So how do i find this "right" angle?
Second question would be about isofillets - i read here in forums that i should do them in isocircles, and i did that and i got good results - it looks very good, but the problem is, that in this drawing, it shows that those isocircles should have a defined radius - R6, R16 and etc, but if i do round corners with isocircles, i dont get that result(in R16 case radius is even way too big). So maybe there is a way to do them "right" and have them defined? I attached that drawing .
I don't know how to rotate the 3D image to exactly the isometric view (30 degree, in this case) I need. I'm using AutoCAD 2005. how exactly to draw curves right in isometric view without using 3D?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to draw a "u bolt" in an isometric drawing. I found one solution, that served the purpose of giving the customer the general idea of the stands we are trying to sell them, but I'd like to know if there is a way to draw it properly.
I have attached a pdf to show what I came up with. Pipe Stands.pdf The only way I could think to get it to work (look right) in isometric view was to draw to vertical lines, make an arc across them with the elipseisocircle, and then use the path array to fill the U shape with the isocircles. This keeps the tubular shape, and the number of circles resembles bolt threads.
My problem is that the u-bolt is only threaded on the ends, the arched part should be smooth. Since this u bolt is to clamp fiberglass pipe to the stand, those threads (in my drawing) could cause damage. In this instance, I just explained this in the email to the customer, but I'd like to find a way to draw it proper.
My boss said i could generate an isometric view of a drawing if i have the plan, elevation, and side views (makes sense enough). how do i go about doing this? is there an existing thread i can be forwarded to? (searching "isometric" didn't seem specifically useful.)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently made a new drawing template with ilogic prompts for entering data for all fields within the template. It also sets view sizes etc. I have lots of master drawings, which are reused when sizes etc change for a contract, which i would like to transfer to this new template. Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard does not offer this function.
I could get all drawings in a folder copied to specific sheet size on the master template. As the template will probably be developed further in the future I'm very loathed to do this take manually.
Where I could get a drawing of front axle. I am looking for an axle like a Dana 44 or 60. I am mainly interested in the steering knuckles. I need them for a concept drawing. I already looked at 3D content central and cad block exchange network.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to know what is the better angle for drawing isometric stuff , Searching came up with 30 or 26.565 . however , i find 26.565 easier to draw with the pencil tool and i think it looks better . But 30 is very simple to draw because Paint.net do it when pressing Shift with the line tool .
So both drawing is okay , but i want to see your opinions about which one looks more like a professional isometric style , Here is an image of two boxes:
I've been making iLogic assemblies with hints of VB for about 6 months now. My Boss has asked me if I can write code that will effectively create drawings automatically.
What we would like to create is a rule, which when run, creates a new drawing file, places the active assembly in a base view, then place a Left, Right and Top view of the assembly and place a parts list in the top corner. Dimensions are not really important at the moment, as the sizes of the parts are in the description field and the drawings are used for assembling the product only.
