is there any way to compare ctb files? I know there is a tool called tableprint9.exe that will export the ctb as text but it is not working with Autocad 2010.
i am developing some code to read in mass dxf OR dwg files, seperate the two, then convert each to a database to be read later. however, whenever i run it, i get this error: System.AccessViolationException:
Attempted to read or write protected memory. this is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
at AcDbDatabase.dxfIn(AcDbDatabase*, Char*, Char*) at Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices.Database.DxfIn(String fileName, String logFilename) at ZahnerCommands.Commands.GetFiles()....line 72
here is the code that i have so far. i have been tinkering around with it for a few days and cannot seem to get it to work. the dxf file i have chosen works perfectly well, and i am using autocad 2011.
using Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices; using Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices; using Autodesk.AutoCAD.EditorInput; using Autodesk.AutoCAD.Runtime;
I have drawings that are saved as ACad 2010 and need to work on them in ACad 2014. I am receiving error messages saying the drawing is damaged and requires recovery. Errors are being detected and some files I can eventually open but edits are missing. Others I am unable to open and I get a message "audit could not correct errors in database".
We are using Inventor 2012 and would like to read Solidworks 2012 files directly into the system. This can be done with Solidworks 2011 files but our vendor upgraded his software between the time he sent us test files to try the import and now. Can you tell me if the is a plug in or something that will allow us to read SW 2012 files or should we upgrade to Inventor 2013?
We will be doing some grading in a park with trees. Probably maximum depth or fill of 12 inches. The question has come up to be able to show cut and fill quantities as a visual shade of colors. I have a way to display cut and fill ticks and it will give me the value, but that's not what they want. I change the cut ticks to red and the fill ticks to green. What is the best way to represent this like when you turn on slope percentages and assign different colors. but I want like 0-2" fill to be red, 2" - 4" to be green, etc.
It takes a list of Parameters and cycles through the assembly looking for parts with the same parameter names. It then copies the value of the parameter from the assembly down to the part.
It occured to be that this would be more efficient if I didn't have to manually create a list of parameters to compare.
What I'd like to do is create a list of all parameters in the assembly file that begin with the prefix 'A_', and compare this list against the parameter list held in each subassmbly and part file in the assembly, copying the values down as before.how to build the parameter list?

Is it possible to write an AutoLISP script to read an .xlsx file and use the data in the various cells to modify a block within a .dwg?
Ex.: We use Flow Control Modules (FCMs) and use AutoCAD Electrical to show electrical contractors where/how to wire up the devices. In AutoCAD, we have blocks for various types of FCMs, and each block has terminals which are tagged DESCA1, DESCA2, DESCA3, etc. Each of these tags will change based on what the particular FCM is used for.
We also have .xls(x) files we call FCM Maps, which come from our engineers and tell the drafters how to lay out the .dwg files.
Is it possible to write a LISP script to take, say, cell A1 from the .xlsx file, and put that data into DESCA2 in the block, cell A2 into DESCA3, and so on?
I have a big hole in the ground in my model. Its easy to get the volume of cut with C3D. But I have a topsoil layer, weathered rock layer and then solid rock, I basically need to break them down into different volumes. The way I would normally do it is calculate the topsoil, then work out the weathered rock and minus the topsoil, then for solid rock cut I minus the topsoil+weathered rock. I have attached the 3 volumes I need for info.
I am a new Lr user, but have spend several hours experimenting with the product, so I have some familiarity with it. When I plug my card reader in my computer, Lr only sees the NEF files. I know I have both JPG and NEF files on the card, but Lightroom is not seeing the JPG files.
i was downloading my raw files from canon mark II and importing into Lightroom 4, i got half of them loaded but the rest didn't load bc it said it couldn't read the files. and they say zero bytes and i can't open them or see them in my external hard drive also.
I recently transferred my RAW images into LR4 and it is not listing them in the "Folders" on the left of the "Libray" screen. Files are in tact on my hard drives, however after import LR4 is not finding them. They are being read and listed on my backup drive however they will not come up on the main hard drive.
I just purchased and installed PS Elements 11 and it seems to be unable to read the .CR2 raw files from my Canon 6D although according to the website this camera is supported.
I have Adobe Lightroom version 3.5. When importing my RAW/NEF files, lightroom says my "the following files could not be imported because they cannot be read." I use the option "convert files to DNG" upon import.I have a Nikon D5100.
I just installed LR5 and to my dismay it gives me an error message that it can't read the files from my CF card reader (CR2) Never had a problem with this in the past on LR3, LR4. LR5 support says I have all the latest updates.
Yesterday Lightroom handled a bunch of files from these cameras and today it gives me a message "The following files were not imported because they could not be read." same answer for both ORF (Olympus raw) and jpeg's. The files will open in Elements. Reformattng cards both CF and SD) uninstalling LR and downloading a new install.
In middle of an import via a card reader, LR 4.2 stopped importing. dialogue box said could not read the files. Tested cards and cardreaders for two different cameras - same dialogue box comes up. response is there area many bugs in LR 4.2 and Adobe is ignoring. One Adobe spokes person suggested optimizing and restarting. haven't tried it yet.
I have updated to ACR 7.3, my Photoshop is version 13.1 x64. However, I still cannot read the RAW files from my Nikon D600 with the message to check if there is an update for my cameras raw files available.
Had the operating system of my Macbook cleared, then reinstalled my copy of LR3. After first import from Nikon 7000, received message that raw files of this camera are not compatible with my LR. Puzzling, for I have loaded on this computer with this copy of LR3 from this camera thousands of raw files.
When I use Photoshop CS3 and paint fast strokes with a brush they update in real time. But when I do that on the same computer in Photoshop CS4 with the same brush size I have to wait a lot after I draw for my paint strokes to update. It is so slow that is simply impossible to work.
I need to compare and match two colours but dont know how to do it exactly. the scenario is; I have two samples. Sample A is the reference, and Sample B is a trial. The trial sample is going to be very close to the reference, but not exactly the same colour.
What I am going to do is scan both samples on a scanner and then compare them. I need to find out what colours do I need to add/remove from Sample B to make it exactly same as Sample A. That is the most important bit; need to be able to understand which colours missing or needs to reduced.
Samples are one uniform colour but ideally need to get 3-4 sampling to get the average colour from each sample for accurate results.
We're trying to perform a shadow impact study in NYC. We have imported the existing buildings and topography and run a shadow model with these features. We have done the same adding a new building to the model. We now need to quantify and compare the incremental shadows cast by the new building in addition to the existing shadows. Is there a way to assign a color to the shadows cast by the new building to differentiate these shadows from existing conditions?
