I am handling BeginDocumentClose event of a Document but before my code executes Message Box pops up asking me if a want to save my changes. How can i suppress it? Because i am asking use to end the process for this Document and if the user chooses No i am Vetoing the close so no need to Save changes.
View 3 RepliesI am currently in the process of re-writing my VBA in .net.In VBA I successfully used AcadDocument_BeginClose which called lisp functions.It would be nice to have all code in the same environment I need to transition my changes.
Therefore I need to call lisp from .net.My function works well when run withing the cad files session but does not appear to call the lisp when called after the BeginDocumentClose.
Is it possible to call a lisp function after the BeginDocumentClose event?
I have a problem with shortcut keys in inventor 2013.Example:
-In 2012 when pressing "s", it would create sketch.
-In 2013 when pressing "s", it needs enter/spacebar to confirm that sketch creation.
I can't seem to find a setting that changes this, or a thread here on the forums describing anything about this. Only threads about shortcuts suddenly not working anymore, which is not the problem for me at this moment.
Is there a way to disable confirmation dialogue pop-ups such as "are you sure you wanna replace the existing file?" and "are you sure you wanna close this without saving it?"
Is there also a way to avoid being prompted every single time I save a jpeg, to precise the jpeg quality .....
I have created an action in Illustrator CS5 that ungroups a radar graph and deletes the axis lines. And I would like to run this action on a batch of 100 files. The problem I am having is that when I run the action, I get the following pop-up message at the ungroup command:
If I click OK, the action continues. But, as part of a batch, it becomes a bit tedious to have to click "OK" 100 times, and it sort of defeats the purpose of running the action as a batch.
I see options in the batch window to override action "Save As" and "Export" commands, but is there a way to have the batch override this confirmation message? I suspect there may be a way to do this with a script, but I am not proficient enough with scripting yet to take that route.
I use autocad architecture 2013 and it works just fine until the save turns to qsave whenever i want to save a drawing by save, save as and ctrl+s it works as qsave..how can I turn it back to SAVE ?

When I attempt to save a drawing I have completed, I cannot save!
Can't save, save as or any other variation of save.
This is my issue every time I click save.
I have the student version of AutoCAD 2012 on an HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. I originally installed AutoCAD in June of 2012. It worked fine for 9 or 10 months but now whenever I select File/Open, File/Save, or File/Save As, AutoCAD stops responding and the spinning blue donut appears. AutoCAD never comes back and I have to close it from Task Manager. I uninstalled AutoCAD and reinstalled it, and the process went smoothly. However I still have exactly the same problem with the File operations. I apply Windows updates, but other than that have not made any changes to the software on the laptop. AutoCAD works fine for everything except the File operations. I am able to save with CTL/S and am able to open AutoCAD files from File Manager.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to open a drawing then close it right away, if it was not the drawing I was looking for, as long as I didn't pan, zoom, or do anything else. Almost a year ago I had a pop-up with-in AutoCAD that they reccommend I make this selection. I can't remember what it said really, it was something about a script or lisp loading at each drawing opening. Well, the result is the 'Drawing 1' does not disappear when I open another drawing and I would like that to stop. Also as I said it does it to every drawing. how to stop this? I tried the 'startup' command and that is not it. It is not a big thing just something I think is a waste of my time having to close that drawing each time I open AutoCAD. Not sure it matters but I am using AutoCAD 2012

Since we got that out of the way let's get to it.
A week ago I was told that a lot of times the PC's freeze when you try to "Save", "Save as" or "Open" a file (we open/save on a network drive). If that happens we have to restart the PC and hope it doesn't happen again, but since this happens quite a lot (over the course of four days about 27 times on 7 PC's) I tried to fix this.
I installed the patch, updated the drivers for the graphic card and reinstalled NET Framework 4. The problem didn't occur as often but it still happened sometimes.
I am facing problem while using Save / Save As / Save for web options in my Photoshop. On clicking Save / Save As commands, my photoshop gets closed abruptly and I am losing all data. If I choose Save for Web option, the file Save dialog box appears and when I click on the 'Save' button, the application gets closed abruptly.
It was working fine yesterday. My version is bundled in the Technical Communicator suite 3.5 and I faced some problems with Adobe Acrobat, for which my IT team took support from Adobe and got it resolved just two days ago. (Case ID - 184809966)
Why does AutoCAD still have automatic save if it is not going to automatically save your files? I have used AutoCAD for over 20 years and when the introduced automatic saves, I thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. But apparently some time between release 2010 and 2012 it was redone or it just don't work. I can recall closing a drawing w/o saving by mistake after having worked on it for 2-3 hours and only loosing at the most 10 minutes of my time. I just did the same thing and lost about 2 hours worth of time and my automatic save was set to every 10 minutes as I have set it since automatic save was introduced.
View 4 Replies View RelatedURL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.
I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)
I've created an action that uses the save for web dialogue to optimise images for the web. When I use the batch command to process a full folder of images, even though I have "Override action "save as" command" checked, it ignores this and still uses the location that was used when the action was created.
Apparently this is a known issue in CS6 and previous versions but whether this has been fixed in Photoshop CC?
I have a problem with CorelDraw X4, some tools like save, save as, copy, cut, export doesn't work.

Number two on my list behind your fantastic new layer functionality that I had been dreaming about for three years. I NEVER close PDN. The ONLY time it closes is once every week or two when the 20, 30, 50 tabs that I have open, finally overwhelm my system. I bounce back and forth so much that there is no way to continuously save them as I make changes cause it would jack up my workflow by taking up too much time.
No way around it, this is just how I work. It would be lovely if PDN was able to, similar to After Effects, popup an error box saying it was about to crash and did 'you" want to save the session. Especially, now, with 4, as while it is a super duper version upgrade, the crashes were daily, with me, and I couldn't keep losing that much data. Sophie's choice, for me. The old layer window or daily crashes.

Using Image, Mode I have verified on both that the images I am trying to save are 8 bit and not 16 bit images. I am on Window 7, 64bit.

However, if I saved to Multi-picture Format, I would get the familiar .jpg and everything worked fine for a while. This morning I cannot find a file format in "save as" that results in the .jpg file extension.

Until i try to close the interface, then it will pop-up a dialog message that do i want to save before i close or not, then i click yes but it does not display png,jpeg and the likes as file extension. it only displays psd and some uncommon extensions.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I first started using CS6 I would edit my photos and when I used "save as" to save my photos then open them in a different photo viewer they would have lost a lot of color and contrast. When I reopened them in CS6 they still had no color. This is all occured on my PC. I used to use PSE 7 (on my PC) and the "save as" function to save them and they turned out fine. I recently got an iMac and when saved on there the same way and reopened in a different viewer they'd have the correct color,
but when opened on my PC the color would be lost again. Also tried opening the images I saved on my PC in CS6 on the iMac and they still had no colo/contrast. So that would mean it's not a monitor calibration thing. I'm trying to figure out how to save my photos so they have the best quality they can have for printing and also the correct color for clients to view on their computers.
PS: I did use the "save for web" option on my PC and the photos have the correct color that way! But those aren't the proper size and stuff for printing. Also I'm very new to iMac and full photoshop so I'm not sure what sizes/pixels/color modes/etc are normal or what photos are supposed to be.
I'm running Windows XP with Photoshop CS6. Since the "Save" button runs off the edge of my monitor, I can't click Save. I also can't move the dialogue box up far enough to get to it before running out of screen space. I tried just hitting the enter key, but nothing happened. I end up having to do a control-alt-delete to get out of Photoshop altogether.I've never had this problem before when I had CS2 or with the CS6 I have at work.Is there a way around this?

It just does nothing, when I choose to save a file under "something.cpt". It works, as long as it is a JPG, but not as a CPT. I am working on a Win7, with CorelX5 in german. Support told me to reinstall.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a PSD file (16bits/prophoto RGB) with some layers. I combine the layers to ONE and change the bit depth to 8 bits.
Then I do one of two things:
(a) I save the file for the web in JPEG 90% high-quality and with sRGB ... filesize 340 602
(b) I change the color profile to sRGB and save the file as JPEG in the highest quality (10) ... filesize 174 549
I am at loss here. How on earth is it possible that the second file is almost half the size as the one saved for the web?What effect causes this? It is very easy to save for yhe web but as long as the JPEGs are that bigger it's no option.
so photoshop totally disappointed me yesterday, i spent HRS creating a graphic and i went to save it to PNG, it said i could only save it as a copy; so i clicked ok....my graphic wasn't saved AT ALL!...what am i doing wrong???
