I have installed PS3. I´m told to remove any LUT loader or whatever photoshop installs on the system in order to leave my own profiles load. I don´t find any kind of loader, and i´m quite worried about what´s going on with the color here.
I use equipment for photographer: 10bit NEC screen (multisync LCD3080UX+) and Matrox Parhelia 128MB graphic card. The software is Monaco Optix with BasicColor together, using a MonacoOptix XR calibration hardware.
I do everything correctly, and this goes wrong. Can you please help me or redirect me somewhere better?.
I can open Adobe Gamma from the Control Panel but cannot get it to run at startup, even though I put a shortcut to the Adobe Gamma Loader in my Programs/Startup folder.
how to load Adobe Gamma at startup?
should Adobe Gamma be used with a LCD monitor?
Is there any possibility to install Gamma Loader without installing any other software from Adobe?I would like to adjust display settings but I don't need PS right now.

I had CS5 Master Suite side X side installed with CS 6 Master Suite. When I noticed problems with the CS 6 Photo Down loader not working correctly I uninstalled CS5 Master Suite. This did not resolve the issue and I am stuck with lots of photos that are unable to be downloaded using CS6 Photo Down loader.
i have a new HP Pavilion laptop with Vista Home Premium.
the problem is that the screen contrast is very low.
there are no hardware controls to adjust this.
so the only solution i could think of is to "install" Adobe Gamma Loader.
i did this by copying the files from my WinXP machine and put it into the Common Files folder into my Vista laptop.
i also put a shortcut in the Startup folder.
now here is the strange part...
when i boot up the laptop, Adobe Gamma Loader loads up for about 10 seconds, then it unloads.
i have to manually click on the Gamma Loader shortcut in order for my screen to remain adjusted.
how can i get the Gamma Loader to stay loaded?
also, there is Adobe Gamma Loader isnt listed in the Control Panel, like it is in XP. though i suspect the reason for this is because i copy and pasted it to the Common Files, rather than installing it Photoshop or Illustrator. can someone confirm this for me?
I downloaded the plugin for "photoshop pattern loader". I tried to open a pattern I downloaded, and received the error "gimp pattern plugin could not open image". I put the plugin under "program files/gimp/share/gimp/2.0/script" and also tried, under "c:/users/gimp 2.8/ plugin" folder.I don't know if I am trying to put the plugin in the right folder to work? I am running windows 7, 64bit.

Rhino allows for two-rail curves and extrusions, is there anything similar in Autocad2013? I'm working on a trellis that has an undulating, slatted top - I can array the slats along one spline/polycurve, but figuring out how to rotate them to match the secondary angle/curve (it twists) is proving to be really difficult. Rotate3D I have trouble with (crossing different faces/USC which confuses me), and doing so for each slat is going to be exceptionally time consuming.Â
Is there a way to array a form along two paths, so that the pieces automatically adjust to match the needed angles that both rails define?Â
how to get some infomation(Font, Outter Reference DWG, LineType File Path ) which a drawing may be dependent on ?
I'm develping a C# program with AutoCAD 2008.  To ensure the drawing to be displayed porperly when it be copied or moved, I Want to get the(font, out reference drawing and line type) full file path, and copy or movie the file to the same distination directory.Â
I can't find any API to  (Font, Outter Reference DWG, LineType File Path).
A program that will show vehicle paths once start and end locations of vehicles are entered?
I have a restricted area and wish to know if a vehicle will be able to turn around in this area.
We are 3 ppl working on a project and facing this problem that when we open a file with xrefs, they lose their paths. Even when we fix it once, the next time someone else opens in their computer its lost again.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI find it absurd that AutoCad C3D doesn't have a vehicle sweep routine built in to the design software. This is as basic to roadway design as super elevation is to horizontal curvature.
Buying third party software such as AutoTurn or Pathplanner R4 seems ridiculous.
I'm a single user at a small company tooling company. I've created a handful of useful iFeatures that I've saved just in the default path: C:UsersPublicDocumentsAutodeskInventor 2013Catalog
However, we're in discussions now about hiring another designer, so as I do new projects, I've been trying to do things cleaner and making sure that the method to my madness is obvious. So I'm considering moving the contents of this folder to a network drive, and also one that's independent of Inventor upgrades (version # in the folder path).Â
My question is this: In the application settings, there are (3) different path settings on the iFeatures tab. How are these different?Â
When I've developed iFeatures I've usually had them initially in the Workspace directory for the current project. Once completed and tested, I would put them in the default folder. When I go to insert one later, the "Insert iFeature" dialog box doesn't take me to this path and I have to look it up all the time. It just takes me back to wherever I inserted the last one from. So what does this path in the settings box actually do for me?
If there's no "shortcut" to point to the iFeature root folder quickly, why do I care where I put them? Couln't I create a network folder such as "Z:CADifeatures" for these and add it as a Library to my projects and save myself time? I'd also not have to change the settings and/or make copies when we upgrade to IV2014.
Would there be a downside to doing this? It almost seems too easy and like there's room for product improvement here.
What are 3 types of paths that can be used for storing an xref? when inserting an xref, how does the Overlay option differ from the Attach option? can xref drawings be scaled, rotated, or positioned at any desired location?

Is there a way to change a pdf underlay path when drawing files are moved?
Is there a way to set the pdf path to match the drawing location so when a drawing?
and pdf is moved and they have the same path the pdf will be linked to the drawing?
The same can be asked about raster image files & AutoCAD?
Is there a way to set the raster image file to match the drawing location so when a drawing and rastor image is moved and they have the same path the raster image will be linked to the drawing?
I prepare drawings for a client which include .jpeg images as part of the final product. The problem is: When I work on these drawings from my home office, I need to re-establish the .jpeg's path in order to work on the drawing. Then when I send these drawing files back to my client, they need to re-establish the .jpeg's path on their end in order to display the drawing properly. My client and I would like very much to be able to avoid this "re-establishing paths" step, where we can each open the drawing file on our computers and immediately see the jpeg image as part of the drawing.

We recently updated our servers and with that the path to all of our drawings. For example what was once located at W:FilesAutoCAD is now located at W:CorporateAutoCADDrawings. The problem is every time we open an old drawing for the first time we must redirect all of the xrefs to the new location. My question is, is there any way to do this automatically for all drawings when they are opened? Is there a way to tell the software to replace "FilesAutoCAD " with "CorporateAutoCADDrawings"? I'm sure others have encountered this dilemma.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to repath our xrefs from hard paths to relative paths. for example, currently our xref paths look similar to this:
F:/208009.00/arch/floorplan and we would like to repath it to: ../arch/floorplan
I have already tried to use reference manager. it takes far too long and usually fails to work.
heres where im at. i would like to use the redir command where i put in the old path as f:/208009.00 and new path as ..
however we have hundreds fo drawings in multiple folders that need to be changed. i am looking for a way to dynamically import the path info without having to enter each path manually. i have a script to isolate the info i need per drawing, but cannot figure out how to transparently input it into the 'new path' option of the redir command.
I see that I am allowed to specify more than one path for tool palettes. When that is done, which path is used if a user creates a new palette?I have some custom palettes on the network. They swap each other out using the hidden toolpalettepath variable. As part of that, they also include a button to restore the path to the default local folder. I am considering placing all of the delivered ones on the network but also want users to have a way of adding their own and having them placed in a standard location under their network user area.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor new drawings, is there a way to program Autocad to always load Xrefs relative? We pretty much use xrefs everywhere, and it seems like it would save a lot of time if I didn't have to open the External References and change each xref to relative.
Also, if you have an existing drawing and need to change the xref from absolute to relative path, is there a way to have it automatically do that? I'm assuming there isn't, but thought I'd ask.
I'm rebuilding the primary project template folder for my company. This folder contains a variety of drawings linked together using Xrefs and such. I'm setting up sheet sets in the plotting of these sheets.
I'm working with 15 different drawings and setting up 130 sheet sets that will each plot 1 layout from each of these 15 drawings. All of the drawings have the same layout names (A1, B1, C1,...,Z5). So, for example, the A1 layout from all 15 drawings is 1 sheet set.
When a new project is started, the template folder is copied and renamed. A known issue is that this new project still links all of the Xrefs back to the original template folder's DWGs. We use a script plus the 'Redir" command to update the Xref paths.
Now I'm noticing that the Sheet sets I've setup are having the same behavior, and I can't seem to find a way to quickly fix the file path of 130 sheet sets with 15 sheets per set.
Also, any faster way to setup the sheet sets I've described above other then individually adding layouts to their respective sheet set. I was hoping there would be a batch type method given that all the layouts have standard names.
Whenever I go to do a "Save As" or an "Open" (not from Vault), over on the left it has a gray area that says "Workspace", "Libraries" and under "Libraries" says "Content Center Files".
How do I edit this to add some standard network locations where we often save things? I often "Save Copy As" to save DXFs into another folder, completely separate from the project file, so sheet metal can get to the flat patterns to burn them out. It would be nice to have a shortcut to this location.
My company has many clients that each have different pen table, text styles, directories, templates etc. What we would like to do is create a toolbar/ribbon that does the following but not limited too:
1) Change the CUI file to the current client
2) repath AutoCAD so that the program will find templates, textstyles, pen tables, etc unique to that client (we keep each client setup files like this in separate directories)
I am sure there are other variables, pathes, toolbars etc we will need to change as well. What I would like is a toolbar button or ribbon button to do this seamlessly so that each user can quickly and efficiently change from one client to another.
how I can accomplish this or variables that would need to be changed in a LISP routine etc
I used autocad 2010 at my old job but I now use 2012. Now, I keep getting a "bad definition for linetype" error when I try to use linetypes that worked fine at my old job. Someone suggested that I reestablish my support paths but I don't know how to do this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a Library setup called "Vendor CAD" and it's referenced in all my project templates and most existing project IPJ's. I'm thinking of re-organizing my server and actually creating a CAD drive and moving all these files to an area protected from the non-CAD users.
Anyway, once I move the files, is there a way that I can batch change the existing IPJ's to refer to the new path? There's about 70 or so files, so it's not monumental, but I'd really like to not do it manually if possible.
Also - please note, I'm a single user, so I'm not using vault at all.
