Photoshop :: CS6 Photo Down Loader Not Functioning Correctly
Oct 16, 2012
CS6 Photo Down loader locks up when I attempt to download photos. Buttons like browse, settings, get media do function. This worked fine with CS5 Bridge on this machine. The machine is a windows 7 box.
Â
I had CS5 Master Suite side X side installed with CS 6 Master Suite. When I noticed problems with the CS 6 Photo Down loader not working correctly I uninstalled CS5 Master Suite. This did not resolve the issue and I am stuck with lots of photos that are unable to be downloaded using CS6 Photo Down loader.
Working with layers in Paintshop Pro X6 instruction # eight says: To resize (the layer that I just placed on my background image) click on one of the corner nodes and drag outward. But no corners or nodes are showing for me to drag the layer to where I want to position it. It seems like a step is missing from the instructions.
So as it stands, I can get my layer onto the background image but I can't resize or reposition it at all.
I want to know how to resize a photo without loosing quality....... in the image resize box the is a check box that says maintain file size ......what does that do .
I have tried to resize using it and the file stays the same as the original.
I have serious problems with calibration here. White turns to maroon while going gray. Something is going on very bad.
I have installed PS3. I´m told to remove any LUT loader or whatever photoshop installs on the system in order to leave my own profiles load. I don´t find any kind of loader, and i´m quite worried about what´s going on with the color here.
I use equipment for photographer: 10bit NEC screen (multisync LCD3080UX+) and Matrox Parhelia 128MB graphic card. The software is Monaco Optix with BasicColor together, using a MonacoOptix XR calibration hardware.
I do everything correctly, and this goes wrong. Can you please help me or redirect me somewhere better?.
I can open Adobe Gamma from the Control Panel but cannot get it to run at startup, even though I put a shortcut to the Adobe Gamma Loader in my Programs/Startup folder.
Is there any possibility to install Gamma Loader without installing any other software from Adobe?I would like to adjust display settings but I don't need PS right now.
i have a new HP Pavilion laptop with Vista Home Premium. the problem is that the screen contrast is very low. there are no hardware controls to adjust this.
so the only solution i could think of is to "install" Adobe Gamma Loader.
i did this by copying the files from my WinXP machine and put it into the Common Files folder into my Vista laptop.
i also put a shortcut in the Startup folder.
now here is the strange part...
when i boot up the laptop, Adobe Gamma Loader loads up for about 10 seconds, then it unloads.
i have to manually click on the Gamma Loader shortcut in order for my screen to remain adjusted.
how can i get the Gamma Loader to stay loaded?
also, there is Adobe Gamma Loader isnt listed in the Control Panel, like it is in XP. though i suspect the reason for this is because i copy and pasted it to the Common Files, rather than installing it Photoshop or Illustrator. can someone confirm this for me?
I downloaded the plugin for "photoshop pattern loader". I tried to open a pattern I downloaded, and received the error "gimp pattern plugin could not open image". I put the plugin under "program files/gimp/share/gimp/2.0/script" and also tried, under "c:/users/gimp 2.8/ plugin" folder.I don't know if I am trying to put the plugin in the right folder to work? I am running windows 7, 64bit.
I'm a new user of GIMP 2.6.11 for OSX, and I can't figure out how to make photo colors print correctly. My printer is an Epson 2200, driver version 8.37. When I print one of my old photos from Mac Preview, colors come out the same as they did when I used this printer from Photoshop 6 on my old Windows PC. When I print the same image from GIMP on the Mac (using the Print command, not Gutenprint, and selecting photo quality and specifying the right paper, etc), the colors are too far off for a simple CY, MAG, Y level adjustment to get back to what I expect. Under image properties GIMP says the color profile of the image is sRGB IEC61966-2.1, and the image appears the same on my monitor in GIMP as it does in Preview. But it appears GIMP may be using a different color profile for printing than for display. is that possible, and if so, how can I change it?
System Information Windows 8 x64 AOC 2243fW 1920x1080 monitor (x2) Processor: Intel Core i3 2120 3.40GHz (Dual Core) Ram: 6GB GPU: nVidia geForce GTX 760 TI 2GB DDR5 Â Notes: Photoshop is up to date. Performance settings in photoshop are set correctly. Monitor Profiles are not defective. Images/Files are not corrupted. Â Issue: After a fresh restart of my PC Photoshop will function as normal for a short while (1hr appx.) after that it ceases to import/export or do any of it's intended functions. I CANNOT import ANY files. I am not presented with any error messages and it simply doesn't work. Buttons appear to highlight and the toolbars are still accessible, however I cannot continue with my work. If I then restart my computer it will function for a short while again then this will happen. Â Things I have done: Reinstalled Photoshop CS6 Deleted Preferences (Multiple Times) Contacted Adobe Support in which case they failed to fix the problem.
I have photoshop CS5 and recently my zoom is malfunctioning. I draw on adobe, and more of the time when I zoomed and zoomed out my images still look consistant and smooth. Yesterday, my zoom at 33.3 and 66.7% isn't properly functioning. It distorts the pixels at these zooms, which makes it difficult to see and draw. It used to never do this, and I also didn't change anything in my photoshop to cause a change. Is there anyway I can reset the zoom how it was before? Or reset photoshop?
I have installed Photoshop CS3 Extended on my PC (Pentium 4, 3 Ghz, 1GB RAM). The program loads fine and I can use the adjustments (levels, hue, filters, etc). When I attempt to use the Clone stamp tool, It does not work. If I push the "Alt" key and click the mouse, I get the cross-hairs like you are supposed to, but when I release the "Alt" key, it does not clone anything. The circle and the + signs follow the mouse, but no cloning is done. Also, with the Healing brush, it goes thru the motions (round paint brush), but does not leave the dark trace when the mouse is clicked and held. So when released, no healing is done. I have Photoshop Elements 6.0 on the same computer and it works properly. I have tried un-installing/re-installing; deactivate and repair,
I have attempted to download Photoshop CS6 Extended trial, however, once the install is completed, it's just the standard version. WHERE can I download the Extended Version?
I have CS4 and am unable to use the wand tool as it used to work.I've checked the color picker settings, and it is always set to point sample, and STILL does this. I've checked and unchecked the anti-alias, contiguous, and sample all layers boxes and set them to every possible combination of the three. I've set the tolerance level to multiple numbers and it does not affect the fact that it selects like this. In fact, setting the tolerance and checking either anti-alias or contiguous does NOT affect how it selects, and it will always select like this. I've found that it is selecting EVERY color/line created, regardless of opacity of the line. I've reset the tool multiple times, reset the color picker multiple times, and reset all tools several times. No affect. Â I've tried asking on Tumblr AND on deviantART and have asked Google multiple times since the issue rose, and have seen several fixes for similar problems (none of them exactly like this, as far as I could tell). I've also even gone into the AppData file and deleted the .psp file. Â I've changed settings around in Photoshop, and it doesn't seem to affect anything. I really need to use the Magic Wand tool for my artwork, to select shapes in individual layers, so that I may shade them. Another problem with the selection is that whatever I select is aliased, despite the "anti-alias" box being checked. Â I realize that I can use the "select pixels" option that shows up when I right click a layer, and it produces the same effect the wand tool ONCE had, but I'm used to using the wand. I'll be using the select pixels option for now.
I have just started using my Photoshop CS6 (64-bit). Â I am trying to use Ctrl++ and Ctrl+- to zoom in and out respectively, but nothing happens. Â Is there something that I should be doing before starting to use the keyboard shortcuts? Â PS: my OS is Win7 Ultimate 64-bit
Running Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP Professional 160GB; 77GB Free
All of a sudden after more than a year functioning fine my clone stamp tool stopped working. Everything else is working fine. I reinstalled CS3 and the tool worked fine then, after a reboot, it stopped working again.
I am not supertech knowledgeable, so other than running a complete scan with my anti-virus program and a Windows Defender scan, neither of which identified any problems, I'm at a loss.
I have installed the trial version cs3. When I run the program it says, that the licence for this product isn't functioning anymore. I have to deinstall and reinstall or go to the adminstrator. I deinstalled it and installed it as a administrator. Same error. I am running this on Vista.
I have been having problems with photoshop element 10 since I got it. I thought is was due to all the picture and programs on my computer. i purchased a new computer and deactivated the program on the old computer and installed on my new computer.
I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and now Photoshop is not functioning as normal when running on Windows 7. Mainly when a modification is made to an image i.e, cropping, unsharp mask, etc. the image will be blacked out, requiring clicking on the canvas area to reacquired the image. Also the canvus changes from my neutral gray setting to a grid or black background when modifications are performed. I reinstalled Photoshop CS6 Ex after the new Windows 8 installation.Â
Mac Mini, 2010, OS 10.8.2, 8GB ram, Photoshop 13.0.4 x64. The Image / Adjustments / shadows / highlights controls are, quite suddenly, not working properly. When the control sliders are moved, nothing happens to the on-screen image until the "OK" button is actuated when any changes made to the sliders are suddenly visible. I have done all the usual things, including re-installing, but nothing works.
I want to make one picture of two pictures from the organizer - but I don't manage to resize the picture in the top-layer. Always with the zoom-function the bottom-layer is also getting bigger or smaller - whatever I tried to entangle this layers!
The Type Tool has suddenly quit functioning. When I try to type with it, it gives me one HUGE vertical line on the screen, and will not adjust the font type size. Â how to fix without me going through a total re-install?
I am having problems with photoshop. Whenever I use the brush, it seems to be faded, and have this sort of faded background over it.  It almost seems as if the 'flow' option is always down, but it is at 100%.  The more I brush over, the darker it gets, but the flow and opacity are on 100%.  Here's a quick screenshot: [URL]  Also, the brush preview box is an odd sepia color?  I think it may have something to do with my color profiles, because every time I open PS, I get the message ' The monitor profile LCD color management and conversion appears to be defective. Please rerun your monitor calibration software.'  I went to my control panel, deleted my color profiles and management, and nothing happened. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  It is frustrating, because I can't just draw a clean line, it always has this fuzzy border. My 'draw' tool works just fine though.
The blur gallery in photoshop CS6 has stopped functioning properly. When you activate one of the blur filters in the gallery the window changes to the gallery interface but the cursor remains as whichever tool was previously selected. Any thoughts on how to rectify this. It was working ok so I am assuming it was affected by an update but I've been wrong before. Is there any way to view and uninstall updates?
I just got a new laptop (Apple Mac book pro with OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion) and a fresh installation of Adobe CS6 and Photoshop is practically unusable. The issues are that there is weird color banding across the full size image (it looks fine in the thumbnail preview in the ‘navigator’ tab). These bands move and change. Next, when I use the selection tool it selects weird shapes. And if I attempt to fill it, the fills are not the color, nor the transparency nor the shapes that I set. That means masks can’t be used and pretty much no editing is possible. Some blog posts describe a similar problem, and propose changing the ‘Performance’ preferences .
