Quite often when I open drawings or just open AutoCAD my tool palete is there but none of the tools are there to select from? If I reset the tool palette it does the same. Sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not?? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still happens. I'm using AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac. Screen shot attached.
View 1 RepliesUsually I can click a took and thats the end of it...if I want to show hidden I have to click the little arrow or something of that nature. Now when I click a tool it automatically opens up the hidden tools menu, which makes it very annoying to select tools because I've then got to click it in the hidden menu to select it.
Also performing things such as double clicking hand tool to show an image full screen don't work becuase as soon as I click the hand tool once it opens up the hidden tools menu and won't allow me to double click it. I've tried resetting to defaults and even checked my wacom/mouse settings...cant figure out what the issue is.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, Photoshop CS6 13.01
I must have clicked something or inadvertantly pressed a keyboard shortcut or something because a couple of weeks ago, the sub-tools on the tool palette started popping up without me having to hold down the mouse button for a second. Now when I click a tool (the rectangular marqee tool for example), the hidden tools (eliptical marqee, single row etc.).
I'm using PS CS5 on Windows 7.
How or where I can get the Detail tools that was in the 2013 Tool Palette?

pretty much everything you need to build a detail. Where are these tools?
For some reason, the tool palette I usually use is not accessible. I opened a drawing that a co-worker was using and my tool palette now looks like an old version - it doesn't have any of my custom tools in it. How do I get back my tool palette??

View 3 Replies View RelatedI maintain our enterprise tool palette so all others have read-only access. I keep the entire tool palette structure on a network drive, of course, so all have access to it. This works fine for all networked desktop computers but we have several laptops that are not always networked so i have copied all the necessary files, including the entire tool palette structure, to the hard drives of these laptops every time i update the palettes.
I recently added a new tool/icon to our palettes so i copied the palettes directory structure from our network drive to the local hard drives but, even after an AutoCAD reboot, the new tool does not show up.
In ACA 2009 I could, after saving the drawing, click on a wall, window etc and drag it to the tool palette to create a new tool.
In ACA 2011 this only works for lines/polylines. Plus the wall, door and window palettes are gone. How can I retreave them?
CS2 tools palette remains on top, when I now use CS4 my images cover the tools palette. Someone has been dabbling and lost a basic function when messing with the design of the interface. How does one keep the tools palette on top ?
I have mine down the left side of the screen and have done so since the very first ever Photoshop,.
As soon as I move my images around its gone, buried under them. The Layers etc palettes remain over the images, just the tools get buried.
Does anyone else have a problem with the tools not responding in the tool pallette? I have a problem with my tools randomly not responding when I click on them. Specifically the replace color tool and the blur/sharpen tools. I purchased this upgrade of PS CS about three weeks ago and everything worked fine at first, now the tools pallette is giving me problems. I tried reloading the program again and changing the properties, but neither works. I have windows XP installed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason when I hold down the right hand side on my mouse pad to access the hidden tools in the tools palette in illustrator, it shows the alternative tools but wont let me switch to them eg I hold down the right hand pad and can see the smooth tool underneath the pencil but I cant switch tools. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble adding tools to my layer palette in X4. Previously I use X2 and can perform this action. However it seems to be lacking in X4 and I certainly miss that.
In X2 I could easily add duplicate layer in the layer tab and all I had to do was a single click the tool and I could perform this action, it was convenient keeping in the same area where I could also delete the layer.
I know in X4 I can add the duplicate layers in the top toolbar, however it is not as convenient and seems to be counterintuitive to have it away from the delete layer tool. I also miss the other layer palette customizations.
Is there any other way to add the duplicate layers on the layers palette? Is there a way to perhaps copy the workspace from x2 to x4(probably a silly question).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'd like to know how to make the LR4 crop and others tools palette to not scroll on right panel, i.e. to make them behave just like in LR3 - the whole panel is scrolling up and down, but the tool palette itself is staying on the top and dont move. I know, that hitting the T letter make the palette to not scroll (something like 'always on top' command in other software), but this also hides the toolbar under the picture. Oh, and once more - to make it work you have to roll off the upper panel.
My question is - how to make the tools palette not scrollable, but without disappearing the toolbox under the picture?
I have a new copy of PSE 11 and the tools menu palette names on the left side of the screen are missing. I notice that some tutorials show the palette names and others do not. How do you turn these names on or off?

I am using AutoCAD 2011. Because when I typically draw a circle I use the center, diameter style to create a circle. The factory default is Center, Radius. I would like to make the center, diameter my default setting whenever I chose to draw a circle. I would like to know how to make that change then how do I get it onto a custom tool palette?

I am able to add it, but when I click on the palette to add it to a drawing, it acts like it's going to work but nothing shows up in the drawing. I have added it to the source drawing, saved the source drawing, dragged it into the palette. All is well until I try to place it in a drawing. The other blocks work fine.

I've created a pallette but unsure how to get my symbols into the pallette.
I have just installed AutoCAD 2014 with our company update and I am having problems using our tool palettes.
When I click the buttons on the palette to load our blocks I get the message below:cad2014 tool palette error.png
I've checked the directorys of the tool palettes and they are routing to the correct location.
I have just updated a whole load of block symbols as some numpty didn't put them on layer 0. When i have created a tool palette of the symbols, 4 of approx 30 symbols have got such a tiny tool image, that its impossible to see them, but oddly the rest are fine.
I have checked the blocks are zoomed to extents, checked the drawing limits are the same ones that are okay, and checked that the size of the block is the same, effectively i can not see any difference between the blocks. Even when i increase the image size to max in the tool palette view options the symbol is to small to identify. Oddly in windows explorer and in ACAD design center there is no issue with the tool image size.
Whilst i could manually create a new image, and tell the tool palette to use it, if this happens with all the blocks, it could be time consuming, when there could be a very simple answer i have over looked.
