AutoCAD LT :: Ribbon Icons Missing?
Aug 14, 2013I am trying to find the individual icons in the ribbon back in my Autocad Lite. For example all the small icons under the "Clip" tab have disappeared.
How do I get them back?

Oct 19, 2012is there a way to stop ribbon from changing all those icons whenever you clicking on an object? because my computer at work is a bit slow and each click like that on a large civil 3d profile has a slight delay which that time adds up to reduced productivities. and i am clicking 500 times a day since there are 500 vertices to modifiy on say this alignment.
everytime you click on an object the ribbon changes which takes up cpu time due to running a bunch of codes to populate the icons on the ribbon. tried closing ribbon doesn't work still have the delay when mouse click on an object to show the grips. oh well maybe it's showing the grip that's using the cpu. but how can you say for sure without turning one feature off at a time to test?

3ds Max :: Ribbon Icons - Adding Export Selected Command
Mar 21, 2012Where i could find those ribbon icons in max, for example am adding the export selected command which has an icon when you do file export, but when i add it to the ribbon it says missing icon, and i only have a modeling folder and object paint folder with icons.

1 Sure but where are the Autocad icons actually hidden?
2 Why did they get lost in the first place ? The cui does some odd things at times.
3 What is the right spot to add the path changing file support paths makes no difference. (includes reboots)
Other machines here are fine don't want the same problem with theirs when we add the new toolbars.
As an extra we run new workspaces to avoid this problem but the original Civil 3D workspace is corrupt maybe.

Sep 29, 2010With 2011 I have noticed my DWG icons in explorer are displaying the generic icon and not the new DWG icon.I have gone through the Folder options and File Types tab to try to reassign it but no luck.

Jul 25, 2013I need to create a section of a 3d model. Unfortuntaly the layout tab I need is missing. Normally if somthing is missing I type 'CUI' and then click Ribbon>Tabs> select the one I want and drag it to 'Workspaces Contents' - 'Ribbon Tabs'
The ribbon tab for layout is missing from the cui. See attached images.

AutoCAD 2013 :: MEASUREGEOM Missing From Ribbon
Sep 19, 2013I am using a full version of 2014 plain vanilla AutoCAD. More recently I have had the utility panel (that contains MEASUREGEOM) and the export panel pulled down in the work area for ease of access. The utility panel has disappeared completely, and sometimes I find the export panel hiding on the far right side of my screen with just a little bit of it sticking out. I right click on the the home tab and open "show panels" and I don't even see the utilities panel as an option to check or uncheck. I wonder if the utility panel is hiding beyond my screens view, but am unsure how to easily explore this possibility.

Mar 22, 2013I just upgraded to 2013 map to a different computer. I loaded my 2012 profile and other than having to load the profile every time, I also do not have most of the ribbon tabs which I had upon the initial installation of 2013. After about 2 days I lost all od my map ribbon tabs, and at the same time my cui stopped loading automatically.
What is going on with this 2013 thing? It seems there may be a serious need for another hotfix or service pack.

Apr 22, 2013I went to use my laptop with autocad LT 2012 which I do not use that much. When I lookd all the Icons on the tool bars are missing. The tabs still work but it is hard to figure out what they do. I have not changed any settings.

Sep 1, 2009I am missing the icons for the "ON/OFF", "FREEZE", and "LOCK" in the Layer Properties Manager in AutoCAD 2010. Recently upgraded computer to 64-bit and had to re-install 2010. Since then, it takes forever to reload the Properties Manager. Adding new layers, trying to turn layers on/off, freeze layers, etc. causes the Manager to reload. The file I am working with is only 75 kb, tiny in comparison to files I usually work with. My co-worker has a 64-bit and 2010 as well, and her Properties Manager is working just fine. Do I have to reload 2010?

May 17, 2012I thought I had a grasp of the CUI routine, but apparently not. I copied the Image panel from the "Insert" Ribbon tab in Task-based Geospatial, and got it where I wanted. The commands are there, but the images are not - just the infamous cloud with "?". I can go back into Task-based Geospatial workspace and the icons are there, but I can't figure out where they are being referenced. Are they embedded here somehow? In the CUI under both the main .cuix list of ribbon panels and those for the partial workspace for TASKBASEDRIBBON, the button images are not linked to anything, just the cloud with "?" It seems that I need to be able to copy the Image panel from the right side window (when Task-based Geospatial is set to current) over to the main .

Also when i try to open a file the quick link to vault is not there. i have installed vault basic 2013 and it opens up fine and my files are in it. Do i have to create a link?

View 9 Replies View RelatedAutoCAD Inventor :: 2014 New Install - Missing Green Dot And Invisible Icons In Nav Bar
Jun 1, 2013Have installed inventor 2014 as part of the Product Design Suite Premium 2014 & have a few issues.
1). In sketch mode when drawing a line/circle etc there is usually a green dot in the centre of the crosshair, this is not vissible at all making it difficult (if not impossible) to see where the cursor is snapping to. The same happens in the drawing mode when dimensioning. I've checked the options but can't see anything obvious.
2). The icons in the 'Navigation Bar' are invisible, I've checked the opacity levels & irrespective of the setting they are still invisible. You can hover the mouse pointer over where they should be & they work, they're just not visible.
Also, the close, minimise & restore down icons in the top right corner are also invisible. Similar to the navigation bar issue, they work, they're just invisible.
Have tried uninstall & reinstall, & have downloaded & installed the update, but this doesn't solve these issues.

if open autocad program first, every thing is fine , ribboon is working good. but if derictly open a .dwg file when autocad is not running, the ribbon panel is gone, i tried every method i can find -- reinstall, repair install, type "ribbon" command, reset cui, swich to other worksapce then swich back--- but the ribbon just don't come back.

May 14, 2013I am unable to find the "Ribbon Combo Box - Workspace" to our 2013 MEP or ACA CUI. It is visible in vanilla AutoCAD 2013, but it isn't listed in the Command List (under Ribbon Control Elements). I am unable to transfer it from AutoCAD's cuix either. We typically have this control in our Quick Access Toolbar, but I am unable to create this same environment in the 2013 verticals.
I am unable to see it even using one of the default profiles, like "AutoCAD Architecture (US Imperial)".
AutoCAD 2013 :: Tool Palettes - Images / Icons Missing With Annotative Blocks
Aug 20, 2013I just made myself another toolpalette, and the icons/images don't show up.Well, none of the icons/images show up except for the Junction Box (J with a circle around it.)I found that the Junction Box block is the only one that is NOT Annotative. All the other ones are ANNOTATIVE (as they should be.)
In Windows Explorer, it looks like images were saved for each new block I inserted into the toolpalette, but the images are blank except for the Junction Box of course. Is there a special way you have to put your Annotative blocks into a toolpalette so the icon/image shows up??
