My ctrl key has stopped working in Inventor.
It works fine in other programs.
Also when I hit F7 in a sketch Inventor does not show the section of the part to my sketch plane.
Also, my memory bar indicator does not work, it just stays all grey.
Problem: My Autocad 2009 SAVE AS not working properly, when I'm trying to save my work output or anything I want to make SAVE AS it's totally not working...
Is this cause by virus or there something wrong in my software?
I'm currently using Civil 3D 2012, and all of a sudden CTRL+Z has stopped working as UNDO. It does nothing. I've found this issue in lots of other outdated forum posts, but none seem to relate to Civil 3D 2012. I went into CUI to see if the shortcut was somehow changed, but the UNDO command still points to CTRL+Z as its shortcut.

When I use Ctrl + Click instead of going to the layer it only jumps to the folder containing that element rather than the layer it's self. Is this new with CS4 or is something not working?

I'm running Illustrator CS6 using Parallels Desktop 8 and Windows 7. It appears that the ctrl/alt keys do not work. I've tried resetting my preferences and restarting my computer.

When I use the free transform tool crtr-T and use the ctrl drag button, the corners do not extend properly. It extends universally as aposed to a distorted corner-pull. I uninstalled CS6 and reinstalled still getting the same result.

View 2 Replies View Relatedas the place I work at recently upgraded their PS version to CS6 and basically rendered my Intuos 4 completely useless because of the damn Alt/Ctrl modifier, which seems to control the "drag to create a copy of the layer function" regardless of the tool you're using.
It might be specific for my region, but Alt+Ctrl or Alt Gr modifer is used in order to reach certain keystokes, such as ], [, @, so when by default the brush size function on my wacom is linked to a "[" (alt+ctrl+f windows function), my tablet completely flips out and starts sending a mix of Alt, Ctrl and Alt + Ctrl function controls instead of the [ which I'm trying to use.
Alt + w/e functions work just fine, but I can't use any modifer using the alt+ctrl+w/e combo that involves creating a symbol, even while using the keyboard. For example, I can use the alt+ctrl+z command to undo something, but if I linked my brush tool to a "§", which is invoked by calling the alt+ctrl+m windows command, it will act as a normal ctrl + m command and open the curves window.
Our company is planning to buy new workstations Dell Precision T1700 [URL] and we have question about compatibility with Inventor 2009: Will there be issues with drivers or directx etc. that don´t match with Inventor 2009 ?

Using Inventor 2009. For some reason (all of a sudden) it will not open a step file. When I go to search for the file I would always use the file drop down an there would be a lengthy list of options. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy students draw all of the individual parts of a product as ipt files. Next they create an assembly using those ipt files on a iam template. Next they generate a multiview assembly drawing on a idw template from the iam file. On the idw multiview assembly random visible lines disappear and we are not able to get them back. Students are turning of the visiblity of some of the hidden lines on the idw assembly but not all hidden lines.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to determine the moment of inertia of an L-section using IV 2009. By selecting Tools>Region Properties of a closed loop profile in the sketch environment the moment of inertia is given, however the principal axes through the centroid are at 45 degrees to the toe of the angle (see attached image). I want Ixx and Iyy where the X and Y axes are parallel to the horizontal and vertical toe respectively.
Coincidentally, AutoCAD orientates the principal axes the same when viewing the Region Mass Properties of a similar Region.
After installing Inventor 2009, you may find that other software on your machine now has connection issues such as Apache Web Server, Skype or other servers/programs that are configured to use port 80.
This is because Data Management Server 2009 is configured to connect to that port every time you reboot your computer. If you go to your Windows start bar, select 'Run' and type in services.msc, you will see a list of services. Scroll down to 'Autodesk EDM Server', its' Status' should be labelled 'Started' and its 'Startup Type' should be 'Automatic', which means that this service is started when you turn on your machine, thus connecting to port 80 automatically.
You could change the 'Startup Type' to 'Manual', so that any of your other servers/progams that need to connect to port 80 will function properly, but that would limit the ability for Inventor 2009 and other programs that are configured to use port 80 to run simultaneously. You would also have to manually start this service every time that you require to use Inventor 2009 and the Vault.
If you don't mind EDM Server to hang onto port 80, but you're having connection problems with Skype, then change over to another port for Skype. Open up Skype, goto Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Connection. If the checkbox is selected for 'Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections', then uncheck it and restart Skype.
So, how do you configure EDM Server to connect to another port? There are four configuration files that need to be changed, so the default of port 80 is not used.

You will have to restart 'Autodesk EDM Server' in services for changes to apply.This should eliminate your connection issues. Why Autodesk has decided to use 80 as the default port number without an easy way to change this through the console is just silly in my opinion.

Since we often use special materials in our design process we also create/add the new material in the material database. View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a sheet metal part with multi-edge flanges; the part unfolded no problem. Now, I need an exact, mirrored copy of that part [new part number]. My first attempt was a mirrored component at the assembly level. The part was mirrored but it would not unfold. My next attempt was a derived part with the mirrored option selected. This part, too, was mirrored but would not unfold either.
"In sheet metal parts, mirroring flanges or contour flanges created using multi-edge select is not supported." Is this why the flat pattern fails?
Is there a workaround? I'd hate to create the mirrored part from scratch when I all need is reverse bends.
