I set up default tolerances in my part and would like to have them displayed in the drawing. I used the "Retrieve Dimensions" tool but they aren't showing up. I have the Tolerance Method set to Default.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to change the model parameter tolerances thru the API? I haven't seen this issue in the discussions. I've found the parameter.tolerance property, but it looks like it only returns the tolerance, Is there a way to set the tolerance?

I see a hotfix but for 2011. I have Inventor 2012 ......
I did, a couple of months ago, a part with a rule containing some input boxes. It worked without a bug and set it as a specific template, on Inventor 2012.
I tried to reuse it as a template without changing its rule on Inventor 2013. When the input box pops out and ask the value it needs, if I type "0.2" it says that "string's conversion "0.2" in a 'double' type isn't valid". But if I type "0,2" I have absolutely no problems.

I am using AutoCAD Map v2012 (can use 2013 if it has anything built in)
I want to finetune tolerances so I can in example change from 68% (not enough coverage) to 69% (about perfect), but instead it jumps to 70% or 71% (waaaay too much selected).
Is it possible to write a plugin to
* Mousewheel it (pointer over tolerance bar, scroll wheel, tolerance changes) or even
* press context button (mouse button 2) and spawn a dedicated input box to "hand it in"?
How do you read geometric constraints from the Assoc2dConstraintGroup in C# or VB?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure that this problem has anything to do with Autocad, or maybe my Video settings or adaptor, but I get an awful distortion of geometric drawings on my monitor, and yet the objects print out correctly. for example a perfect circle shows up as an elipse and enclosed is what a perfect square looks like.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed AutoCAD 2011 for Mac the geometric constraints automatically to everything that I draw. There doesn't seem to be anything about turning this feature off all together in documentation. I can do it with a selection set, but when I would have to do it to every line that I draw, it seems pretty ridiculous.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am drawing ordinate dimensions in blocks and then I am getting the geometric extents of these blocks, if the block contains the dimension, the extents are much larger than expected. What may be the cause?
See the attached drawing, the lines are connecting geometric extents MinPoint and MaxPoint. For the blocks that don't have dimension in them, the extents are correct.
I should design a Silicone model for a Breast Cancer Survivor. My problem is the Irregular Geometric Shape of silicone. I tried "Sphere"/ "Loft" commands, but I didn't get my desired outcome! I also drew the 2D base by "Spline"; however,"Extrusion" was not a good option to make it look like a 3D silicone!

I have existing roads, towns etc data that are already set to UTM 17. I want to import ascii point coordinates (from a comma delimited file) into the file. I can import the ascii coordinates as points fine (easting and northing), however the points come in as the absolute coordinates rather than geometric coordinates. I already set the files for right geographic projections. Beyond manually inputing the coordinates into the coordinate tracker, is there a way to import the coordinates form the file set for the geometric coordinates?
Is there a way to accomplish a gradient fade using geometric patterns (circles, squares, etc.) to fade one image into another image or into a solid color (example image attached)? Perhaps a plug-in has been made to accomplish this feat or somethhing similar?

I would like to add dimensions to an image.
Kind of like what you would see on a drafting drawing for a construction project: leaders coming off the edges, arrows extending between the leaders, and a dimension indicating the length of a side.
I don't plan to make a sophisticated drawing, so don't need something like AutoCAD, but I would like to indicate, say, the height and width of a rectangle, or the angular measure between sides in a triangle. My images are very simple geometric shapes.
Is this possible in GIMP?
I tried both the horizontal and vertical types - followed all of the (very limited) instructions to no avail.Cleaned up temp files.Installed SP2.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow do i do a geometric distortion without applying perspective? so in the example below. if i want it to look more like the second image (which i did badly with warp mesh,) rather than the top image. that is to say i want to be able to pull the corners like i did with the pick tool for the top image but not have it apply the perspective, which in this case bunches it up to the left. just to keep it in the plane as with the bottom image.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhow to cut up an image using a geometric grid that I can create in Illustrator.Today I've learn how to make the grid, using a tutorial I've found, but now I need to learn how to use this grid to cut a picture along all of the lines, so that I can rearrange some of them and perhaps move of them out of place too.
The first, second and third pictures attached are the kind of grids that I want to make (I now know how to do this), to use as a template to cut up the picture, the third and forth pictures are as close as I can find to the outcome I want, with the faces rearranged (I think these were done by hand in these examples).

I have a large surface (over 1.5 million points and 20 000hectares)
I need to get a point file .csv from the TIN to be able to use it in another program.
-so i've extracted the points from my surface, but they are Autocad points.
-next step is to convert them to civil 3d points.
-I can not select them all when converting them or my computer crashes.
-so i select about 25 000 at a time, the converting takes roughly 10 minutes.
and i have over 1.5 million points to do.
how can i speed this up.
will more ram useful?
there is a way to convert land desktop aecc points to cogo points and use the full description?
I do not have access to the ldt files nor to the Descriprion keys file. It would be nice if there was an option to preserve full descriptions when converting (that would be just too simple).
I have recieved a file with many points and would like to convert them into COGO points in Civil 3D. The problem is; I would like to keep the hole ID's as I convert, I've made a few conversions and lose the hole ID every time (not showing in Name or Description). Is there a seting I am missing to keep these? My aim to to organize the COGO points in different point groups.
