How to I change the Comma to a Period in Levels or Dimensions?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to enter decimals with the dot key. On my new environment (new computer, new version of Illustrator), it no longer works. I would like to use the comma key instead. What may be the way to enable it? Some editing on Window's international options?

I'm working on Illustrator CC (64 bit), Windows 7.
I caught this error in Inventor 2013.Â
See attached
I did, a couple of months ago, a part with a rule containing some input boxes. It worked without a bug and set it as a specific template, on Inventor 2012.
I tried to reuse it as a template without changing its rule on Inventor 2013. When the input box pops out and ask the value it needs, if I type "0.2" it says that "string's conversion "0.2" in a 'double' type isn't valid". But if I type "0,2" I have absolutely no problems.

Setup or style expression that will take a field in a shape file that is defined as an integer and display it on a map with comma's for the 1000 maker (ie. 5913240 as 5,913,240).
I am using AutoCAD Map v2012 (can use 2013 if it has anything built in)
I've recently purchased Photoshop CS5.1 and I've noticed an issue. After working for a period of time (5-10 minutes), when I try to move an item/layer, or when I want to use the move tool, I have a 1-2 second lag between the time I initiate the action and the actual screen result. One thing I've discovered is that the Timing info grows in time reaching 140s sometimes. The higher this is the more the lag.
Â
I have no problems with hdd space for scratch disks and I have no installed plugins. One way to fix this issue is to restart PS, but it doesn't seem to be a viable solution. The problem also remains when I have OpenGL checked. I used to work with CS3 and this issue never occured.

I have existing roads, towns etc data that are already set to UTM 17. I want to import ascii point coordinates (from a comma delimited file) into the file. I can import the ascii coordinates as points fine (easting and northing), however the points come in as the absolute coordinates rather than geometric coordinates. I already set the files for right geographic projections. Beyond manually inputing the coordinates into the coordinate tracker, is there a way to import the coordinates form the file set for the geometric coordinates?

Seems to happen for really no reason, even if I apply the effect and let the comp sit idle, it hapens after a minute or so.

I have a spreadsheet and iLogic driven mater assy to generate different iterations.
I would like to change the scale of a base view on a drawing based on a parameter in my assembly. The idea is to get iLogic to change the view using a simple If / Else statement.
This is what I tried:
If Parameter("0 Generic Assembly v2.2.iam.BP") < 1570 Then
ActiveSheet.View("VIEW1").Scale = 1/8
Else
ActiveSheet.View("VIEW1").Scale = 1/10
EndIf
So basically the value of "BP" parameter (excel parameter in my assy) would drive the scale of the views. But its not working. Is it actually a sensible method? Can I use in the drawing environment the excel parameters in my assembly?
This is the error message I get when the rule is run:
"Error in rule: View Scale, in document: 0 Generic Assembly v2.2.idw
Unspecified error (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004005 (E_FAIL))"Â
Also using the same thinking I use iLogic to populate the drg number field on the drawing based on an excel parameter. The rule works but does not always updates the drawing no upon the parameter change or update/rebuild commands.
How do I create an Inventor part with a cost that will update according to the part dimensions changing. For example, we design products using aluminum extrusions and our cost is determined by foot length. How can I create the extrusion part to have a per foot cost that will dynamically update when I change the parts length for an assembly? It seems to me to be a fundamental need for many industries.
I will happily take any links to information that will explain this process. I cannot find anything online that clearly explains the process of creating parts with costs and variables.
Trying to get the tolerance on a hole to be what I want. I changed the tolerance on the hole, but my idw did not change. When I went back and looked at the tolerance on the hole, it was back to the original value. No matter what I do, it will not change to what I want it to be in the part. Here is a short video.
The dimension I am changing is .9688 and it keeps jumping back to .9686 when I go back into the hole tolerance.
Tried other values too and they would not take either...

I installed Photoshop CS3 Trial and whenever I run it and choose to begin my trial period I get the following error message:

I should note I never installed any earlier version of Photoshop on my system (I use a fresh copy of Windows XP with only a few programs installed).
how to turn Inventor DWG's into ACAD DWG's with the right layers, colors and linetypes. the way i did this worked, but it wasnt the way they wanted it to go..
is there a way to turn the autocad template (.dtw) into a inventor (.lin) file? How to export an inventor .dwg to an ACAD .dwg?Â
when you've exported a .dwg from inventor and open it in ACAD, all the right layers, linetypes and colors open with it right away.

I have an iLogic controlled assembly with sub assemblies that are also iLogic controlled. The main assembly calculates some lengths and turns some subs on and off and then updates all the subs. The subs also calculate some lengths and turn some parts on and off. I have a rule in both the main assembly and copies in the subs that control the LOD to make sure that it's set to custom before anything else runs.
Now I may be misunderstanding something, but it appears that it's possible to have a sub assembly set to one LOD but be referenced in a top level assembly as a different LOD. In other words I have a sub that shows in the top level browser as Master. If I open this sub and set it from within the sub to custom LOD and switch back to the top level assembly it is still set to master there. It appears that this is what my LOD rule is also doing, setting it to custom in the sub but not changing the top level reference.
I have Sample.ipt, SampleRev.ipt and Sample.idw. (Sample.ipt and SampleRev.ipt are the same configuration part with some different parameter value) Sample .idw is a drawing of Sample.ipt. How can I use code to change Sample.idw to be a drawing of SampleRev.ipt.

I want to change groups of part-colors from w/i an iam, but drive it down to the ipt level, so I don't have to open up each and every individual ipt, and change each one manually one at a time. I have about 1000 parts that need to change color, but want to do it in groups.

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to change the iProperties default field names. Â For example, in iProperties, under the Project tab, i want to change the field "Stock Number" to "Drawing Number". Â I know that i could create my own custom field in a seperate tab, but i think this way would have a much cleaner look and simpler workflow. Â If it is possible, is it something that i can incorporate into an ipt template? Â Or will this only change on my system?
I am working in Inventor 2012 Pro
If I need to change the material of all parts in an assembly I find it convenient to do this in the BOM. In the 'parts only' view I add the material column, change the first one and just drag it down like in Excel.
There are however some parts where the material is greyed-out (see attached image) and I cannot change them in to something else. I already traced this to parts which are present in multiple different sub-assemblies. I guess that's also the reason for the blueish/red icon instead of a normal part icon.
If I open one of the sub-assemblies the part is fine and I can change the material.
