I'm using AutoCAD LT 2013 and I'm having problems inserting .dwg and .dxf files into an existing open dwg. I have previously done this successfully on this computer so I'm pretty sure that I am doing it correctly. What happens is this: I go to insert the file, select it and it shows the correct image in the preview window, but when the actual file inserts into the drawing, it's a completely different file all together. The funny thing is, I have restarted my computer and the program several times, and each time it inserts a different drawing. I have tried inserting a .dwg and .dxf and they both insert the wrong one. I tested it by xrefing the document that I want to put in and it shows up correctly when I xref. I've also tried saving it as a block with the WBLOCK command, and still the wrong thing inserts.
I downloaded the service pack for AutoCAD LT 2013 and nothing has changed.
I'm running Adobe Illustrator CS4 on my Mac Pro running OSX 10.7 Lion and for some reason I am no longer able to open any new or existing files. Illustrator boots up just fine but 'File>New' gives me nothing. 'File>Open' gives me my usual search box but once a file is selected, again, I get nothing. Dragging a file into Illustrator gives me this response',
Before promptly quitting.
I have tried deleting all the files from my Illustrator Preferences folder but doesn't seemed to have worked.
I recently got a new laptop with windows 8, it is horrible. Aside from that I was able to install my CS5 , I pinned my 32 bit to the task bar but for some reason whenever I am in bridge and want to open an image (s) it goes to open the 64 bit Photoshop.
our company use Photoshop in combination with PDF-Files. Normally we can open every of our PDFs with Photoshop.
But now we have some PDFs that we can't open with the 64Bit version. If we try it the application crashes. But we are able to open the same files with the 32Bit version of Photoshop. We assume a bug in the 64Bit Version.
How to get the a PDF-Sample-File because i am not allowed to append the file to a public space.
When opening existing tiff files in Photoshop 6 they are opening very tiny in top left corner(memory can be anything from 1 mb up to 1 gb. I have to magnify each one seperately right up to see them. Never had this problem in CS 4, tried everything in preferences, view etc etc
I installed Photoshop CS6 - 64 bit, but Bridge keeps opening up photos in my CS5 that is still on my computer. How do I change this so that it will open the photos in Photoshop CS6?
I have drawings (some with more than one sheet) from inventor 10. Now I like to open it in inventor 2013. The first sheet is showing, but I can't open the other sheets. I can print them, but I can see a listing of it or go to the sheet.
FYI, until December 2012 I worked in Inventor 10, now I have inventor 2013, so everything is new to me.
I have one problem presentaly i am using Autodesk Inventor Pro 2011, if i have to open a model which is created in Autodesk Inventor Pro 2012.
Autodesk Inventor Professional 2012 AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 Windows 7 64bit, Office 2007 Pro Intel(R) XEON(R) CPU @2.40GHz 2.53GHz, 4.00 Gb RAM NVIDIA Quadro 600 Graphics 465GB SATA TOTAL, 124GB SATA working folder
After recently installing Corel Draw 12 we discivered we could not open our existing .cdr files. It would make sense if we were trying to open V:12 files with an V:5 but it seems like V:12 should support V;5 .cdr files.
When I try to open about 90% of my files, I can't. I get an error with a yellow caution triangle with an exclamation point. it says "Error Reading C:UsersSignsPlusDesktop.......
So I end up dragging everything to a new page. That works fine but it's a pain ending up with multiples of everything.
I have recently updated my template files in Inventor (.idw, .ipt (standard/sheet metal), .iam (standard/weldment)).I added ilogic rules and custom iproperties to them.
I would like to update all my existing files to have these changes so they would be available when we copy design new parts. Is there a way automate the process of updating these files? I have about 4924 of them.
is there anyway of opening old files from previous edition of autocad on the newer version, have a file from a few years ago and it wont open now on the new one?
We just installed the new version of 2012 Product Design Suite. I've spend many hours creating great little ilogic dialog boxes to populate iproperty fields using custom iproperties and then automatically place this data on the .idw file when the view is placed on the new drawing. All works great when the part is created with my new 2012 part template and then placed on my new 2012 idw template. The trouble is with parts that were created with 2011 Inventor. Obviously, the old template does not have the ilogic data built into it. Is there a way to upgrade/migrate the part template file from 2011 to 2012 on an existing part?
I think I'm asking for a miracle here, but I have an assembly with 40-50 parts that I created in 2011 and now need to build the idw files for them and would really like to be able have the customized iproperties added to the existing part files.
The computer at work is saving the 'old version' files in the parent folder instead of the old versions sub-folder. Where is the setting for changing this?
Presently if I insert a block into my drawing - and a block with the same name exists - the newly inserted block takes on the definition which exists in the receiving drawing . How do I reverse this i.e. I want to be able to overwrite the existing block definition by inserting the new wblock version.
I cannot save my previous files created on a student version to an upgraded 2014 version. I tried changing the save as path in the options menu, but no luck. I am able to open the file in the upgraded version but it states that it will open as a student version. Also I cannot copy and paste anything from the student version to the upgraded one. Not sure why.
With the sad fact that we have to save files into older versions of Corel for other people to open in their Corel Draw, is there an easy way to check an existing CDR file to see which version it is saved in? File-Document Properties DOES NOT seem to do it, although that would be a great place to have it.
what is the command in AutoCAD 2013 for exporting drawings as DWFx files so that clients who do not have AutoCAD can open or plot a DWFx file using a current version of Internet Explorer or Safari for Apple as an alternative browser.
I am using an educational version of inventor 2013 and I have been making part drawings and saving them as .dwg. I have tried to view these files using edrawings at school and it says there is a error in viewing the files. I have also sent the files to several friends that have various programs for viewing dwg files and none of them are able to open the files. I can open them perfectly fine from my computer using dwg truview. I have also tried saving them as different file types such as .dxf but these wont open either.
I am having difficulties opening some files today. They are files that I normally work with everyday. They are an stp. file and jt. file. See attachments... These are hot items I need to be working on so the sooner the better.
When I do this, inventor keeps closing unexpectedly as well.
