Mar 28, 2011I am looking for road signs, ie county roads, stop signs etc.Where would a guy look for the signs, be blocks or xref?Is there away to use the sign images fro ArcView?

Jan 7, 2013I have an Input parameter called "Construction Slope" of type "Slope" that I would always like to be negative. As i did not find the possibility to restrict end user to inputing only negative value I tried to change the sign of the slope to negative if it is positive by using an "IF" expression (when used as a "Geometry Property" for a new link):
IF(ConstructionSlope<=0,ConstructionSlope,(-1)*ConstructionSlope)
However this expression produces an error: "Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression <...> Cannot infer a common type because more than one type is possible". If i remove multiplication by -1 then the error is gone (and the whole expression becomes meaningless as well of course). See even attached image.

Sep 22, 2011My problem is we need to have the lettering on the concave side of the sign. How would I make the flat lettering I have in the elevation shot follow the curve of the sign in the plan view?
I usually do most of my autocad drawing in 2d, I've done a few things in 3d but I'm not that experienced. I say that because I was thinking maybe I could make a 3d model of the flat elevation shot and bend it into radius I need.

Apr 26, 2011I have created a farm map in AutoCAD 2008. I want to have a sign made with this image on it with dimensions 775mm x 1096mm. I saved this image as an eps file of size A4 and sent it to the sign maker. The sign maker got back to me and told me that when he blew this image up it was blurry and could I please save it at its actual size.
My problem is that I'm not sure how to save this image at this size.

Jul 3, 2013I have been using [URL] to download aerial images and then insert them into my drawing using mapiinsert. Usually they come in perfect, but sometimes they come in way off. In this case I downloaded image it came in way off. Then i used project base jump and in came in where it should, but the quality is not good enough for what i am trying to determine. so i downloaded an image from [URL]inserted it using mapiinsert. It came in once again way off, but i noticed it came in where the other image did. What am i missing. I do not fully understand how these images choose where they land. I understand there is a world file that gives them xy coordinates, but that is the end of my knowledge.

Sep 7, 2012If I have images in my dwg, and I want to temporarily use the shift key for ortho, it doesn't work. On the cammand line, it reads, "Image (s) not selected. Select Images (s) then issue command." I am not trying to manipulate an image. Why is it defaulting to an image object?

The size of the image that I can't import is 36.6 mb, but I can import a MrSIDs image size is 611 mb into AutoCAD this is the error message that I get when I try an import the smaller image. "this file is an unknown format or invalid for images"

Oct 18, 2013I signed up for a trial awhile back but never did anything with it, so I have no trial offering available now.I am wondering how their high resolution image product looks in 20 to 30 scale viewports, if their high resolution image is rubber sheeted over a 25-30 acre townhome site.
I would want them to look less fuzzy and grainy than the USGS NED 1/3 meter images I tried. How does the curb and gutter and sidewalk look when used as an underlain to as-built survey linework at this scale?
