Is there a way to edit a .pc3 file to ensure that a drawing is being flattened so when non-autocad users receive a PDF, that was created by AutoCad, that they can easily print the drawing? Sometimes our clients have issues opening and printing our PDFs.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I tell LR to edit a photo in PS (CS6), I get back a TIFF file that is 10X larger than the orginal RAW file, and I ultimetly delete it to save space (after first converting it to a jpeg). Why doesn't PS do LR style non-destructrive editing, i.e., why not simply return a record of the edits made in a format compatible with LR?

When I attach an Xref to the file I am working with, it is dimmer in color. Is there a way to edit the xref file so that it appears brighter & easier to read. I seem to call this ability in some previous training, but I cannot seem to figure out how to change it.

I have created the feature line using my design elevations but need to add a PI and Elevation at a specific Northing. For some reason when i'm using the add line tool, i need to click the same two points 6-10 times before it actually closes or even more frustrating; it just doesn't close. When I review the event viewer error, it says cannot add / crossing break line... This isn't true, there are no breaklines being crossed.

The problem is that i don't find where i can modify this expression in VBA in the database.
I don't have much experience with parcels. We don't subdivide property. But I have to do some Acquisition maps and this is the first time I've had an opportunity to do them in Civil 3D.
I wont get in to the gory detail, but I created some parcels that were very slightly off for rotation. It turned out there were some distance problems too. I thought I would just rotate the parcel based on a couple of known corners and then snap to corners I had from a drawing in the correct system.
Mostly that worked. But now I have a curve that isn't tangent because the far end of one of the tangents was adjusted. Also, somehow, the radius is off. I'm only talking about a couple of thousands of a foot, but I'd like to make it right since it has to be edited anyway. I've tried the parcel editing tools from the ribbon and read some of the sections in help that I thought might apply. I haven't been able to adjust the curve.
So now after all the warm-up, my questions. Can I just erase that curve and use the parcel creation tools to add a new curve? Will that curve automatically be added to the correct parcel? Is there anyway to modify the existing curve to be tangent to the revised lines? IOW What's the best way to proceed?
LDT had a command for editing multiple lines of text without exiting the command. This made renumbering and relabeling very easy and saved time.

I Created a Feature Line from Objects (a polyline). I added it to Site 1, gave it a name, layer. Do I Assign elevations during creation (conversion options)?

Why are the elevations locked? I want to set them.
I have a complex grading situation with a sewer near a drainage channel. Long story short.... I need to somehow look at my alignment section by section and try to establish a feature line that will represent my proposed top of slope. There are a ton of different constraints that I will not go into. My ultimate need is the ability to establish a feature line or 3d pline from the section view. I know that this is somehow possible via corridors. Im working with just an aligment and cross sections at every 25 feet. Is this possible?

Civil3D - have surface from contours (plines), breaklines, etc. Have been able to edit TIN to add points or move them in the past (I think). Recently, I can't add or move points through the TIN edit. I'm guessing something I changed (maybe recent update), variable, etc

Right now all of these options are turned on for each new surface. The command settings for CreateSurface allows me to control the build options for new surfaces, but I cannot find anything for edits.

I have created an alignment from an imported polyline. I now need to vary the delta angle between some of the tangents for different scenarios. I see the delta value in the panorama but it is not editable. Is there a way to enable it? If not, how can I adjust the angle parametrically?
