I created my sheets in another drawing using the Plan Production commands. Problem is that my alignment label Ticks displayed on the main drawing and Xrefs Modelspaces but do not display on the Xrefs' Paperspace. The ticks do not also plot on paper.
View 4 RepliesIt appears that once I bring in an xref from another firm, I cannot not get it to display properly on screen. It was working on a previous drawing and now it doesn't. I know this explaination isn't very clear so I have attached two files that are print screens of my model space and my paperspace.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty new to using multi view blocks and rendering etc etc... basically all I want to do is show my surface (lake and landscaping) as grass, show a clear blue hatch to represent the water line and add some multi view blocks.. people and trees...
Using the multiview blocks toolpalette I have dragged and dropped some blocks into model space and ensured they are at the correct elevation to sit on the surface...
I have noticed that only one of the multi view blocks within the landscape tab is showing as I would expect - the rest all look like an extruded cross... I don't know how to fix this or whether this is correct.
I am having an issue with my label displaying in my profile after I create my plan and profile sheet set. The PVC, PVI and PVT all show up, but the labels are not displaying. I looked through the layers and they are all thawed.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use diagnol fractions in my label text for 1/2 and 1/4 deltas. It displays and seems to work fine in Autocad, but when I plot, the numbers have trouble displaying themselves.
I'm using a light color from our .ctb, so I thought that was the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case (I tried two heavier lineweights and it only got worse). Increasing the percentage size of the fraction also has no effect.
how can I draw a circle with 285 ticks or small dashed lines along the rim U know just like the 360 degree compass.
After that I want to write text following the path of these ticks.In other words radial text so the whole thing would like like rays of text coming off that circle.
Using R14 I am unable to print leaders in paperspace. I have created the leaders so they go from one view to the other. They show up fine in the drawing but will not print. How do I get them to show like they are in the paperspace when they print?

My situation is that I have several page 'layouts' (complete with paper size boundaries and title blocks) drawn in 2D modelspace, as this is how I have been plotting up until now. I am trying to set up these 'layouts' in actual paperspace Layout Tabs for batch processing, and I would like a way to position my view within a viewport so that the recatngle that I have drawn in modelspace snaps to the viewport extents. I am sure this is a 'day1' type of question, but I'm very new to paperspace Layouts.

My question is...The long batter ticks are shown every 2m AND every Vertex and Elevation point on my Feature lines. Is there a way to make the style not show long batter ticks at every Vertex and Elevation point?
The label associated to a grading point when is moved when is moved changes its size automatically and a leader appears. After this happen no control over the grading point and its associate label. refer to the image below.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a stationing line. I've used the block PTTICL to make ticks. The ticks display perfectly. I'll run through a plot preview and the ticks show on the plot preview. I push plot go to the printer and the ticks are not plotted.
I've checked the layer. They are on a layer that should print.

I've run through a number of options regarding the alignment label properties and found "display" to be equal to "true."
Everything else plots just fine. Only the station label ticks refuse to plot. My project is fairly short so the work around was to put a poly line right on top of the tick mark.
AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013.
C3D 2013. We have profile line labels, some of which get manually edited (for example, change the "<[Tangent grade(FP|P2|RN|AP|GC|UN|SD|OF)]>" to a static number such as 0.29%).
However, if you CTRL+Click and select one of these labels and change the style of that one label, then the manual edits are lost and the label reverts back to the default string.
Is there any way to turn this behavior off?
Is there a way to "Edit Label Text" in a Parcel area label? Similar to the way you can edit it in other styles.

AS3: In component list my icon and label text are not align properly, when app is started, label text is over icon and when I put mouse pointer over any item in the list then alignment it's ok.

However, only the linework shows up in paperspace, not the text. I have seen this before and don't remember how to fix it. It is a setting somewhere but I don't remember where.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a dwg that looks great in model space, however I created a couple paperspace layouts and then used Align Space to rotate to those views. The problem is that my point label style rotates the point labels based on the align space rotation.
I looked into the point label settings and changed the orientation reference to the World Coord. Sys., but it does not make the points rotate correctly. (world reference is the goal).
In paperspace, each time I double click inside the viewport it automatically zooms to the extents of my drawing, changing the scale. Also, when I switch back to model space i am zoomed to extents in model space. How can I fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince installing SP1, I have noticed "ghosting" when panning/zooming in paperspace i.e. the original image is still visible. The only solution I have found is to turn off Hardware Acceleration and then turn it back on.

why the text and leaders placed over viewports (in paperspace) keeps disappearing? The text is still there...just not visible. i can select the text with no problem. and if i move it off of the viewport then i can see it just fine. this is happening with all the viewports in my drawings... on all tabs. If i close the drawing and reopen then all the text appears again.....but when i switch tabs then come back...the text vanishes again.

And my drawings and designs were done on C3D 2011 AutoCAD, but the problem now is when i open my drawings with C3d 2013 all the text that has background in it shows black in a paper space but on model space is owk, is there a way of resolving this without goiung through all the text settings.

For example, I have a drawing located in a Windows folder called 'Appraisal Maps', the drawing contains 2 paperspace layouts, one of which is named Show Me Stakes. I would like to have a Windows shortcut of the drawing inside of a Windows folder called 'Staking-Show Me', so that when I double click the drawing it will open up and automatically switch to the proper paperspace layout.
I am wanting this for two reason, 1) so that we do not create multiple drawings and actually use the power of autocad layout tabs and layer management. 2) so that when management opens up the drawing it goes directly to the proper layout minimizing their head scratching as to what is going on.
I have created Table styles for Structures in Autocad 2009 Civil 3D, but now I have Autocad Civil 3D 2011 and the Table Style Fill appears black in paper space.

What did i turn off/on and how do I fix this?
I received a drawing from a client where the architectural ticks display very large. The leader arrow shows as the correct size but the dimension tick does not. I went into the dimension style manager (dimstyle) and everything seems to be in order. The tick size is set up to be 1/16". I tried to dredge up out of my memory the autocad variables that mess with the size of the archtectural ticks like "dimasz" and "dimblk", but with no luck.
Currently using Autocad 2013.
I was happy to get my Data Shortcuts set up (1) for myself: to create corridors of different design scenarios in separate drawings, and (2) to share data with my project team members.
Referencing and viewing them seems to be ok.
But I haven't been able to model a Corridor along an alignment, profile, tying to surface referenced from data shortcuts. I think I did once, then had problems after removing and re-creating, maybe re-naming some Data Shortcuts. Is that a "No, no" ? I didn't mess with any of the XML files, created everything from Civil 3D. I might have to delete everything and start with a fresh Data Shortcuts folder.
When I re-select Alignment and Profile for Corridor, then OK - it locks up. I created new sample lines along the new alignment. Maybe need to start with fresh corridor. How much am I going to have to re-create? Possible hang up locations?
I have Civil 3d UKIE. Since the installation of service pack 2 the British std kerb appears on the screen as 2circles approximately 2 meters apart.
