AutoCAD Architecture :: Canceled - Educational Plot Stamp In Source Drawing
May 9, 2011I'm having some problems with ACA 2012 when trying to work with wall styles.
I'm currently on the final year of my IArchitecture degree, up until this point I've used AutoCAD through the AD Student Community , but I've just picked up a book on ACA and was planning to get to grips with it. However, I ran into issues within the first few pages!
When trying to apply wall styles to existing walls in my drawing, I get the following message:
** Canceled - Educational Plot Stamp in source drawing. **
And no wall style is applied. I can edit properties of walls in terms of height and width etc, but can't apply any styles.

Aug 29, 2011When I publish a drawing as a multipage DWFx (or PDF for that matter) with "Include Layer Information" selected, the Plot Stamp (Simple Date/Time and Text) comes out but on different layers on different layouts.
Example:
First Layout : Plotstamp resides on Layer 0
Second Layout: Plotstamp resides on Layer 3P
Third Layout: EQPT-VC
etc
Some general information:
Autodesk AutoCAD 2011 64bit
Autodesk DesignReview - 2012
Adobe Acrobat X Professional
Layer 0 Is thawed/plotable and on in all layouts, viewports all layers, viewports. It has at least one entity per layout
Is there anyway to rectify this and still use the built-in Plot Stamp?

AutoCAD Architecture :: Plot To File Naming Options
May 31, 2011Is there an option to eliminate AutoCAD from automatically inserting the layout tab name into the file name when creating a PDF? Once upon a time it would only use the file name (i.e. A-101). Now it uses "A-101_Layout1" (or whatever the layout name is) by default. I either have to live with it or manually change each file name during the process of creating the PDF or after it's been created.

DirectoryA Sub-directoryB DirectoryA_Sub-directoryB_filename.jpg (concatenated new file name)
If this is not natively possible within Lightroom, any plug-in that delivers this functionality?

I can not figure out the setting for the plot stamp to put it in the bottom left corner. This is my first time trying to use a plot stamp so things will need to be explained most likely.

Jan 2, 2011When I try to open or create drawings in autocad (which i downloaded recently from the edu community) it gives me a warning which says "the drawing file being opened was not created by a product from an autodesk education suite. if you save this drawing it will always be plotted with the follow plot stamp: produced by an autodesk education program.it is recommended that you save this drawing with a different file name." but I have saved and resaved drawings, tried different extensions and still it won't plot or print without this plot stamp. What is most likely causing it and what can I do to remove it.

May 10, 2013Is it possible to create a plotstamp on the border of the page without dirtying the drawing? Most solutions I've seen on the forums involve an iProperty that is updated when saved, but this would dirty the drawing, so it isn't an option. Also, we need our plot stamp to appear outside the titleblock. My users keep saying "make it work like AutoCAD".

Jun 20, 2012I'd like to batch plot 50 drawings, all of which have the same title block in the same position. This is easy with the PUBLISH command, but I'd like to be able to add a "stamp" of the customer logo to these drawings, which I have as a block in a separate file. Basically I want to easily be able to plot the same drawings for different customers, the only difference being the customer logo. Is this possible?

Lightroom :: Why Does LR Append -2 To File Names / When There Are No Duplicates
Jan 5, 2014I have been using Lightroom since V. 1. I have noticed that many of my file names have been renamed in LR (now V5.3) by changing the filename from "XXX_yyyy.NEF" to "XXX_yyyy-2.NEF". IF I look in the folder where the images are stored, both versions of the file are there. I went into LR and deleted the "-2" version and re-imported the original files. In some cases this worked and the LR file now has the original name. In some other cases, LR re-named on import and appended the "-2" to the file name. I checked and it turned out there were other files with the same name on the disk and in the LR catalogue, so I understand why these files were renamed. In other cases, however, there is no other file in LR with the same name. Yet, when I try to delete the "-2" file in LR and re-import the original file (as I did earlier), LR again renames my file by appending the "-2" suffix to the file name. It does not copy the file, it actually renames the file in the folder where it is stored. I cannot understand why the file name is being changed in this case.
why LR is doing this and how can I prevent it?I am running LR under 64-bit Win 7 with 12 GB RAM, the problem seems to have occurred primarily with Nikon D200 RAW (.NEF) files.

When we publish through the sheet set manager it shows a temp folder where the drawings are spooled to instead of the actual drawing saved path. We can fix this buy turning off background plotting when we publish, but I was wondering if there is a way to show the saved path instead of the spoolled path when publishing in the background.
Below is the expression found in our plot stamp block.

Apr 8, 2010I am plotting a file that has a pdf referenced into it. The quality of the plot is degraded only at the inserted pdf. The rest of the AutoCAD file looks fine. The inserted pdf is a printed AutoCAD file which looks clear and even has embedded layers and linework I can snap to (which seems to indicate that there is vector information present when it is in Autocad.
I have attached an image with 4 zoomed-in screen shots to show what I'm describing.

AutoCad :: Plot To PDF The Layout Sheet Name Is Not The PDF Plot File Name
May 14, 2012Using someone elses template. When I plot to PDF the layout sheet name is not the PDF plot file name, it uses the drawing file name (and hence the same file name for all plots, not what I want). When I plot in paper space, my layout sheet name is the output file name, is there a way to change this?

Mar 1, 2011I'm having trouble plotting to PDF
We normally plot to PDF using the free Cute PDF converter which is quite good although we get out of memory issues from time to time which is not so good.
We have therefore decided to use the one provided by Autodesk (DWG-PDF.PC3). The main drawings appear fine however the text we use within our title bars is awful and bloated for some reason. I've read the help file and cannot see anything relating to this issue. On the attached image the left hand side shows a PDF created with the Adesk DWG-PDF.PC3 and the one on the right is with the Cute PDF, although a different size there is a clear difference in resolution.
AutoCAD Architecture :: 3D View Won't Plot
Jan 26, 2012I created a 3D view, shaded Realistic and inserted it into a sheet that is 11x17. When I plot (whether to .PDF or our copy machine) after the plot dialog box disappears, another one pops up that says "Plot Progress: Attempting to Cancel Sheet". Then it prints everything in Paper Space, but the viewport doesn't plot. By the way, when I look at it in Plot Preview, it's perfect. Fortunately I don't need to give this to my client for another 10 minutes.
